Join the squad in North Tokyo as England prepare to put two and a half years of training into practice in a Rugby World Cup semi-final against the All Blacks.
I'm Welsh, but I don't mind this English team. Best of luck in the final boys. Gutted we're not there, but please bring the cup back north, you deserve it.
Awesome to hear that as its normally hateful comments from Welsh/Scots etc . I’m gutted its not Wales in the final but you guys played well beyond what you should have with the player pool you have to choose from. Come on England the country needs a lift
Andrew Moore I’m Scottish, and I cannae be happier for this England team. Hopefully they can go on and win it because they’ve been the best, most consistent, and most complete team at this year’s RWC.
You know that Rising Sons is top quality content when you stop midway through going to town on a breakfast burrito just to get headphones to watch the next episode. Good luck on Saturday lads, win or lose this campaign and team have been fantastic 🌹 🌯
I've watched nearly every episode and as a Kiwi I've become more and more aware how good this England team is which is why I wasn't surprised you beat us the way you did. Hats off to all involved and good luck for the final.
You Kiwis have shown exemplary dignity in defeat this year in the cricket as well as the rugby. Also reported today is the favourable response in New Zealand to England's V formation acceptance of the haka challenge. This is what sport should be. Thank you. www.theguardian.com/world/2019/oct/30/no-problem-at-all-new-zealanders-praise-englands-response-to-all-blacks-haka
@@straitarrow5784 It's spelt haka and it's not a war cry. It's a challenge and a mark of respect to the opposition. It's not just used in rugby games, it's part of our culture. It saddens me people don't understand it because if they did, they wouldn't object to it. The England team gave a fantastic response to the haka in the semi, we were all impressed and you could sense the pride in the England team. I just wish people could chill out about this, it's a game, the haka is just something we bring to it, once again, out of respect to the opposition.
@@owentuckett938 Thanks Owen. I think there's been really good mutual respect, something I like about rugby in general. It's not always the case of course, there's always going to be a few to spoil the party but no point losing any sleep over that, there's plenty of good people involved for the love of our great game.
Hey, just interested to find out from kiwi fans seeing as the team got fined for it, did you see the haka response as a "challenge accepted" or was it disrespectful?
jamie h not disrespectful at all mate, I thought it was great that England brought the challenge forward. It's a shame they were fined for crossing the half way point, think RWC rules are a bit ridiculous to be honest.
@@xkil3x Thanks for the reply mate, I saw that a couple of players crossed into your half & didn't really see the problem with it, if that's why they got fined then I suppose we're just going to have to live with it. I suppose if we win the final most folk will forget anyway. :)
I've said it before but 'Rising sons' production team need to win some award for this... what an awesome series and I am so behind this team, having got a glimpse of the commitment, character, and class of the players and staff.. well done Rising Sons production team and stay focussed Team England.. lets smash this final!
Interesting to hear that England had been planning for this fixture for 2 and a half years. If you take that statement to its most logical form - they were also expecting to face South Africa too! I guarantee they've been planning tactics for that game for just as long.
That's why the South African tour last year was the best thing that happened to England. It showed where improvements needed to be made. The biggest being levels of fitness. In both the first 2 test matches England were well on top for about 30 minutes in each game but fell away badly. Altitude was a factor at Ellis Park and the 2nd test experience was lacking. Eddie has worked very hard on fitness since with altitude training incorporated into England's programme. The 3rd test of that series was a possible 'Template' for how England will play on Saturday . T
Drummer1000George no the all blacks aren’t what they used to be 2011-2015 they had a good side they lost most of there main players and ever since haven’t been able to perform too well as shown in test match’s it’s just die hard fans can’t accept there downfall
@@kayleyholland5655 They were ranked world number 1 when they played England and had beaten Ireland comprehensively in the game before, Ireland being the team that had beaten them twice in the 2 previous games. Hansen had lost like 10 in 110 games. Stats don't lie.
Irish fan here and I have to say that this Rising Sons series is just absolutely brilliant. The other football unions need to do something similar as it has really shown us fans a great glimpse of what it is like to be preparing and to be involved in a world cup. Every episode I've seen the subscribers numbers get bigger and bigger. This group of players all seem like a great bunch of lads and I will be cheering them on come this weekend.
@Theo Bouwer I am not English my friend. I would have liked a Northern hemisphere team to win but fair play to SA, dominated England in the final and got a well deserved result. To me it just makes the next British lions tour to SA more appealing...
I’m irish and think this is the best English team I’ve ever seen and the performance against New Zealand was be the best I’ve ever seen. Best of luck in the finals lads .
As a kiwi I was obviously gutted we had lost. But I'm such a huge fan of Eddie and this team. It wasn't like 07 when we could blame the ref either we were absolutely well beaten in that one. In fact the score flattered us. Have really enjoyed this wee video series and the social media stuff this side has done too can't believe I'm saying this but I will be supporting England and Eddie in this final good luck lads!
I can't get over Sam Underhill's ginormous arms. But then, neither can the All Blacks. He's got a boulder on each shoulder and trees where his arms should be. Nice guy too.
What a brilliant insightful documentary. Everyone playing for each other. Great camaraderie. And not one weak looking link, fitness wise. Each player looks as though they could play in any position full out for the full match. Forward and back. Great respect from me to you lot. I am Welsh, but we are more than neighbours. Most of us Welsh have English blood in our veins if you look deep enough. I have a lot of it. So with our normal banter put aside, with your great attitude and skill set, you deserve the title. I pray you get it. Remember though, nothing is gifted. You still have to work for it. After beating the "champions", the next match in the final is going to be the hardest you have had to date. Your opponents will want to "stuff" you. To win well. South Africa will always be dangerous, But never MORE than now. For this match. I love and respect South Africa, but you are England. Now my England. My heart and soul is with you. As it is for Wales against New Zealand. Great, great fortune (luck) to each of my two blood teams. 100% support.
Cheers bro. I was sincerely hoping for an epic home-nations final but it wasn't to be. Very close, but not enough - genuinely gutted for you guys. A win on Saturday would be a victory for northern hemisphere rugby and not only for England. Our nations in the north are getting stronger and a win and third place would make our northern rugby the dominant brand. I hope the boys bring it back for all of us.
A great game, played in a fantastic spirit. New Zealand have set the standard for a decade on the pitch, and Steve Hansen's words after the match show they have set the standard off it too. Bravo this great game that brings out the best in us!
Farrell in the final walking out from the tunnel was no where near as confident as when he faced the haka a week earlier. I knew at that moment that the mindset of the English had changed from the hunter to the hunted. For the first time they carried the burden of an expectant nation demanding victory that All Blacks carry at every world cup...and like the All Blacks have done for 2/3 of the rugby world cups they choked under that pressure. Eddie Jones had raised his sons to beat the world champions rather than being the world champions and he got exactly what he went for.
Just watched This Particular Video. I'm Welsh end extremely Proud to be. Having a Partenal Grand Father was English ) I wish you Well Boys. Beat the Bokkies and Show them that Your The Best!! Just like you did With The British and Irish lions. Just Do It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Many thanks and Kind regards Colyn.
@Thomas Thomas You seriously need help mate. All that hate hurts nobody but yourself, it will destroy you. Talk to your doctor & ask to be referred for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Gunnar Gundersen - same here mate I think the whole country would’ve crashed with Wales vs England final! To win the World Cup you have to be the best & we wasn’t that on the day! I’ll be supporting the English come Saturday for the first time in my life lol!
Well done to the lads in the squad, but also to England Rugby and their media team for putting out such quality content. No other team is as engaged with their fans and that's part of what makes it such a quality experience supporting you guys. I'll be cheering until I'm hoarse this Saturday!
Love that England rugby puts this content out. It really sets the team apart from the others at the world cup. As a Wallabies supporter, I wish we saw some of this or even the All Blacks. Eddie Jones must be on another level of confidence to be chatting to camera. You really see the leadership from Farrell here. Best of luck guys
Great episode, this was one of the better ones with my insight into the dynamics of the team and hearing their team talks. Please show more of the team talks, it’s fascinating to know what they are saying before such big games!
Just like to say Guys you are inspirational.I have watched played football from a young age,the difference in your game is Respect and honesty. When you go out on the Pitch you give everything, football is a Poor second to Rugby.Good luck for Saturday, you deserve to be the Best in the World.
Brilliant set of videos, loved watching this entire series / journey & what the team have done to get to the final. Last week of work lads, then you can rest. Do your best and hope its your day on Saturday! #ENGLAND
Good job lads .. so proud 🏴🏉 the ABs were the best now England are stepping up. Thank you ABs for being so magnanimous in defeat. Rugby is special and both teams showed why. 🤟
Helicopter Waffle My guess is that it’ll form part of a larger “behind the scenes” documentary - especially if England do go on to win the whole job lot.
From a kiwi one of the greatest team performances I’ve ever seen, truly deserved even past all blacks teams would have struggled playing against that English side with that performance
It doesn't get any better than that game against the All Blacks. You did yourselves, the country and the game of rugby proud. Well done and good luck against South Africa in the finals.
Win or lose next weekend, the whole country is unbelievably proud of what the whole team (players and staff) have achieved so far. See it through one more week lads, bring it home.
2 things impressed me massively about the semi. 1, the almost perfect performance from England, dominating every aspect of the game, so much that they made an AB team look average. And 2, the gracious nature shown by the Kiwis after their defeat. No excuses, just admiration for the way England played and how they conducted themselves. Kudos to you Kiwis for your behaviour after what was a pretty emphatic defeat. Lessons should be learnt across all sports from the mutual respect shown in what after all can be a brutal game
Very well played South Africa, you were immense and it obviously means so much to you. In particular, bravo to Kolisi, he must be very proud. Gutted England didn’t win but the better team won
Been following this since episode 1!!! Got to say this team and coaching staff deserves the title. Breaks my heart because as a South African its hard to admit but they are truly the number 1 team in the world! Good luck for the final ! Eddie jones is a genius and John Mitchell better come home to south africa when he is done with the roses.
Im from Spain, You England Team Absolute deserve to win this World Cup, we are learning a lot from you, I hope Spain is on the next world cup, mean while, all the best Luck!
Legendary. Eddie is a genius. I'm not an England supporter but I admire how they have gone about preparing for the RWC. They deserve to win the Webb-Ellis Trophy.
Watching this series and how the team has grown and developed I'm not even slightly surprised that they were able to put together the performance to beat the All Blacks. They look incredibly calm in down time, all seem to gel together so well not just as players but as mates, and they bring out the best of each other on and off the field. The Springboks are a class outfit, but I still think that we will have missed a huge opportunity if we don't win tomorrow given where the squad is at at the moment. Last weekend was the best I've seen an England team play in an incredibly long time, and it might be a very long time after tomorrow that we reach this level again, so they need to seize this chance while they have it.
Great squad. Young, skilled, committed, together, confident and calm. Worryingly, for the opposition, they will continue to improve. 🏴🏴🏴
Hi Rising sons team, I love these videos, thank you for making them. Would love to see a bit more of changing room antics after a win though, we all want to be in that moment with them. An absolute must after we win the world cup, give us a good ten minutes of that please, and billy and mako on the karaoke again! :) Cheers x
I am Welsh and very proud of my countrymen we couldn’t quite make the final which I’m a little sad about, but I’ll now be routing for this amazing top quality England team to bring the WC home to the Northern hemisphere, cum’on England you can do it, ur country is extremely proud of u what ever happens, 🏴 + 🏴 = 🇬🇧 GREAT BRITAIN UNITED TOGETHER! ❤️💙
Found the part where Eddie announces the team by listing the finishing players first absolutely fascinating. Also the lack of celebration when they first walked into the dressing room after beating the All Blacks. That was not a team that was surprised by the victory. Total self belief and focus on the final.
Me also and I live in NZ. Born and bred English. The All Blacks are a great team. I have always thought that, but I knew England would win before the game even started. England deserved to win. They played so incredibly well.
Go well on Saturday lads. I'm an Irishman, but I'll cheering for you. You're the best team in the world right now (I remember Twickenham). Go well, and give em hell.
Proper proud to be supporting England right now n I don’t get to say that a lot, and pleasantly surprised how the kiwis took the loss and the haka acceptance 🤷🏻♂️
England's smothering 'slow down the ball' tactics worked against the All Blacks who clearly weren't committing bodies to the breakdown (and so deserved to lose) but fell to the Boks who outmuscled them at their own game. Back to the Southern Hemisphere she comes boys!
Im an out and out football fan, Arsenal season ticket (never slagged rugby off though) but never enjoyed rugby, now im hooked. I always watch England in any sport but im loving it now. I cannot wait till Saturday, come on boys! Love this team
@@straitarrow5784 exactly.. rugby fans attack football, most rugby professionals either play or like football anyway. So shut your shithole of a mouth up. If you fancy meeting a pansy dont hesitate to ask
Well done lads 💙 great game keep it up because of you play the way you played last Saturday we are gonna smash South Africa 🏴🌹 good luck guys go out and win 🏴🌹
Great insight in every episode - this valley boy thinks Billy V would like to take on Mars next seeing that he doesn’t want this to end .... and I reckon he would be on the winning side ! Good luck Saturday guys because it will be great to beat the world champs in the 2020 6 nations .... :-)
I'm astonished by Eddie Jones' personal development over the past decade. I used to hate him with a passion when he was coaching Australia, but since he took on the England role I've sort of fallen in love with him. Keep it up Eddie.
So what are we going with: - Cunderhill - Curryhill - Undercurry My vote is Cunderhill, in part cos it sounds worse 😂 It seems only fair if the lads hate the idea of a duo nickname, we make sure it happens 😎
Rebecca Elliott I thought, since England already has a Frodo (Ford), Samwise and Tom Bombadil rather fits the bill - you know, because England are the White Orcs on Steroids from Lord of the Rings?
England deserved to win the trophy 2019. But why? The level of performance they've played the game last week that knocked out the mighty 'All Blacks' from the Tournament exceed the expectations of everyone, and throughout the whole World Cup Tournament, we've witnessed, a Team (England) who dominates in all aspects of the whole tournament; fast, strong and individual decision-making process in the fields was an important part of their game plan, resulting in many successful. I hope they'll do the same tonight of which I am confident they will. Well done boys and Congratulations again, never forget to mention the Coach (Eddie) and the entire "TEAM". Well done!! I better rush into TAB now, and you know the one that I put my money in for this one.
@Thomas Thomas if Ireland had got to the world cup final they'd have come home and had an open top bus celebration round Dublin. Still not made a semi final. Glass houses and all that.
@Thomas Thomas 😂 you are a comedian pal. You couldnt beat New Zealand when it counted though eh? You got your arses handed to you, just like you did off England twice this year. You cant really say much about Australia either, they're a world cup heavyweight. Ireland with never winning a knockout game are an irrelevance on the biggest stage. Even Scotland have made a semi final, Wales have made 3, England 4 world cup finals! Worry about your own team, and their pathetic performances on the biggest and most important stage!
@Thomas Thomas 4 World cup finals and only Northern hemisphere team to win the big one. When it comes to the biggest stage you are nowhere close to us, good luck getting to a semi final one day. I bet you were one of the clowns who thought Ireland with no world cup pedigree could win it 😂🤣😂🤣
