Disclaimer!!!- The numbers used in the video are from the Rising Storm 2 Wiki, there is a possibility that they might be outdated. But they way the weapons handle are pretty much as described in the video.
the recoil is mostly due to the longer barrel, correct. Barrel heavy part of gun. More heavy = more mass = more material to soak up recoil. 7.62x25mm is pretty fun irl; I bout a Type 54 Tokarev pistol because of this damn game. You'd definitely not perceive a difference in recoil vs. 9mm unless you fired similar pistol back to back. Also, the reason 7.62x25 has the damage model is because it travels significantly faster than 9mm. Force = mass X velocity (suared); velocity is the compounded part of the equation; similar mass but more speed = kill more betterer :D
You should do a comparison of the shotgun variants for both the Northern and Southern forces. I've found uses for all of them but for me the duckbill conversion just feels lacking in stopping power compared to the stakeout of trenchgun.
I've actually got this written down in my list of video ideas! I just need to go to the firing range over the next couple of days and really give them a proper testing!
The Viet model burn through ammo faster because of the high rate of fire. Sometimes I like to play the French Model just to so I can save some ammo in my gun when I am in Close quarters. 7.62x25 is like a armor piercing round.
I like to use both here and there. I do like the controlled fire I can get from the French OG but being able to rip people apart at close range with the Viet modified is so much fun
From a hasguns to a nogunz (lol Aussies) no it is correct that the 7.62 Tokarev does more damage than the 9mm para. It is not only traveling an extra 300 feet per second faster at 1500 FPS (this is why 7.62 Tokarev can penetrate 3A plates and 9mm mostly cannot) but it is also causing more hydroshock in the Human body because of that. The wound channel on 7.62 Tok is far more terrifying than 9x19. That's why my first budget carry gun was a M57 Yugoslavian Tokarev instead of a Taurus G2C. The Taurus is 275 brand new, and the Tokarev was 200 flat brand new. Granted, the Tokarev only had the ability to carry 9+1m but the velocity and ammo choice for hollow points was insane. I do quite enjoy carrying a round that leaves a massive wound channel and can penetrate armour going well over that 1500 FPS margin as compared to the 1100-1300 range for 9x19 para. Not only that, but the single action trigger on the Tokarev is just so damn comfy. Less than 3 pounds of pull on a full cock, and carrying it at half cocked chambered. Drawing and shooting it works the same as drawing and shooting a single action army revolver in some ways.
I go for French original because of it's easier handling but more importantly it's rate of fire. I don't think that looking at the damage output is the right way to look at these SMGs. Its an SMG your always going put out a lot of firepower and damage at close range, maybe even mid-ranges. The main reason why I put a lot of emphasis on rate of fire is how much ammo you are going to use per target that you encounter. At close ranges and CQC chances are, you are going to have to engage multiple targets at same time or in a short span of time and the real question that comes to mind is, do I have enough in my maganize? From my experiences using the Viet variant I noticed that I tend to use more ammo trying to kill an enemy before reloading. So in some cases like I'm able to take on 3 enemy soldiers at same time and have enough to kill them all, untill a 4 guy comes along while I'm reloading and then I'm dead as dead can be. But with the French original, not having the faster firing rate and better burst control at CQC I'm able to have just enough to take on that one extra guy (without reloading) and maybe surivive the encounter against multiple enemies. And this is with a magnize that supposed to have fewer rounds then the Viet Model.
Hey thnx for the video really enjoy it could you maybe do a video on the m16 vs the xm177 i also joined a gameonce and it had late war weapons wich ment u could have a 30 rd m16 mag i’ve never seen them in game...
The Mat-40 Vietnam model one when it show up with the Vietnamese is kinna wrong because the word that the Mat-49 spoke out it is not really good in Vietnamese. I'll not explain it here but that word is wrong. Specaly that i'm a Vietnamese
