yea, you'll start figuring out the "tough" spots to look for once you get more experience. if you didn't know - the teleporter will always have its red particles floating in a rather large area around it, so keep on the lookout for those
@@Woolie Scorched Acres are an utter crime against humanity in that regard though. I abort the run if I can't find the teleporter right away on that stage, I wish the most horrible things for whomever made the stage and teleporter spawning logic already without spending another 20 minutes running in circles, only to find it rammed so far under a ramp I almost can't walk up to it.
Everyone has their own maps they can't find the teleporter on, I've found- I have around 100 hours (which, while obviously not a ton, is enough time to mostly know what I'm doing), and there's one spot on one of the versions of Distant Roost that I know exists, but have never seen, because I always just give up eventually.
@@heatherrockwell9012 Distant Roost has a tricky spot where the teleporter spawns on the far side of the satellite island. It will only be there if there's a bridge, so if you see that bridge going to the island, make sure you check it out. The teleporter will spawn *lower down*, at the base of a small cliff. I remember getting this once and spening 15 mins on the stage before I gave up. Learn the tricky spots.
@@isaakvandaalen3899 Yup! I learned that just a bit after writing that comment. It took my friend telling me for me to even know there was a ledge down there.
@@1augh0utL0UD True that, but after playing the game for 3 rounds, I got a hang of it though. Maybe that explains why many guides didn't bother explaining them.
Gondala Satvarsh you know what, I totally agree. I literally just finished my 3 round and I kinda get the game mechanics now, although I don’t get what the shrine does. The 4th round was so intense.... I need to play stardew valley now to calm down.

Never quit these videos man, you`re the best supplier of ror 2 informational videos, and if people need info, you`re the one they`ll turn to. I love the content too, all love to you man!!
Thank you soooooooooo much making those videos :) It have helped me trough difficult times. I started just playing on monsoon right away to taste the feeling of this game and it is truly amazing, all thx to you. Hope you never quit and keep making me and others smile.
Thanks for the video! Just started playing the game, and it's so great! Dodging is deeefinitely important, especially during the teleporter. I noticed that one really fast. haha
I definitely learned lesson one. Was doing a command run with captain. Felt like I was invincible. I spent 3 seconds standing still in a fight to get an item. Got my shit busted by an imp, no mercy about it
Appease RNGsus for superior loots and get easy god runs. Done. Or just restart the run if you're sure it's going to be crap because of your items. There's always next try, after all.
Priority 1 for me is mobility and fireworks for the first loop at least. Both mean you can clear the levels more quickly and get the max amount of items in the shortest time. Can't always get them, but when they're available, it's not even a decision.
Bro thanks your guide helps a lot for a beginner who skipped the first game and never even knew a sequel was here until about 30 mins ago lol. Been playing a few runs already and holy shit this game is SO fast paced. But it’s so addicting and awesome
With these tips I restarted my game and finally got past the second teleporter on my first try. Got all the way to the sixth stage. Beat the first boss, beat the second boss, died 10 seconds into the third.
Ya know whenever I find a new game that I love I always go and look for a great RU-vidr to take me under his wing and show me all the mechanics to get better, when I started dead by daylight it was Monto and Tru, you are my risk of rain guy, thank you for your content. I just had my best run ever bro ❤️
fungoose bro hes the best to learn from and ohtofu tbh no disrespect to those dbd streamers though love true. also im debating whether to get this game is it worth the money.
@@damadhattahttv risk of rain is totally worth the money, especially because it has so much replay value. (Challenges, unlocking different characters, alt outfits. Etc)
@@azo0ownz everything gets more difficult the more time passes, more numerous and harder enemies. the difficulty is constantly increasing. also there is a difficulty spike when going to the next stage.
Can you do a video related to console version of the game, like controller set up? I find it difficult to jump and sprint and aim with the traditional set up and am struggling to get through the second stage
Me trying to beat the first stage for 30 minutes because I couldn’t find the teleported and didn’t know how the game worked - restarted on the easier mode and beat all stages instantly. Fml.
thanks for the tips.. I have gotten to the last boss (or what I think to being the last boss, 3rd phase of that hammerbro) but I had gone all the way to the "HAHAHA.." difficulty and couldn't beat him... wasted too much time on earlier stages.
Just coming back here after over a year of being away from this game and needed a fresh reminder of how to do things. Note, Huntress is my best character to play as. Or, the one I fell more comfortable to play as.
The ventriloquist seems outta sync;o) Thx for the great tips! Hate rushing myself, but I loved the first part in 2D and want to get better at playing the second part.
I had the same feeling about the mushroom but i got so many healing drones and bonus hp regen that standing still i could tank most enemies due to regen in a solo run. Is this just because of the "maxed out" hp regen
The best item in the game is hands down the hoopa feather that gives you an extra hop, followed by the boots to increase your speed. Can’t be overstated how crucial it is in this game to stay off the ground for as long as you possibly can.
Hey buddy, just wanted to take a minute to tell you how incredible your videos are. Top notch quality and information. I'm surprised your sub count is as low as it is (no offense). Keep up the good work, I'm calling it now, you'll hit 500k soon enough.
Woolie: "I'd say spend around 5 minutes on each stage" *Opens stopwatch app* Woolie: "I don't want you using a stopwatch or anything" *Slowly puts down phone*
Do you play with any mods? and how do you feel about mods in general? I personally like them, because i want the game to be a bit more rpg kinda stuff where either 1 in 5 chest you get to chose the item or something like that. I also like the RpgMod which gives you quests and makes enemies drop items. thanks for reading :D
The only mod I've used was Multitudes to do my 4-player solo Monsoon challenge (made it so I could play 4p diff but by myself) I don't really care for mods but have no prob with them existing
@@braddestboi6738 nope - to avoid burning out, I just play the game on-stream for ~4 hrs at a time. The vanilla experience is very fun for me because the combat loop is THAT good (to me.) No mods really stand out to me, as of now - nothing like Calamity for Terraria that only adds to what the base game offers, if that makes sense
Look for the glowing red particles on stages, that’s where the teleporter is. on some stages (wetland aspect, abyssal depths, and scorched acres) it’s harder due to the particles either blending into the red background on Scorches acres/abyssal depths or being blocked by a wall on wetland aspect (this map is very annoying to find the teleporter on.) Also abyssal depths has some tunnels where the teleporter is sometimes hidden so if you can’t find it look in tunnels and you might find it.
new to the game here. I was against the boss with the huge hammer that does dashes and air attacks. I was at full health, and he did an air attack I didn't dodge successfully, and i died from one hit. is this a big or?
Not a bug - you were fighting the final boss (Mithrix) and some of his attacks hit multiple times in a very quick succession. His air attack is one of them and even though you were full HP, you were hit at least twice (probably by Mithrix himself and then the slam)
Thanks for the info, I’m just about to get the game and I’m curious if much has changed since this video, if any of your key points have changed, replying to this would be much appreciated
No key points really changed, but theres a final boss now, so if you choose to fight him you have to take that into account when deciding how much time to spend or what items to get. Theres also a ton of new content.
OSP info is now... slightly outdated while there is still no buffer, it will last for 0.1 seconds after activation. this means that if you have over 90% of your combined max health and get hit for at least 90% of your combined max health, your health will not be able to go below that for 0.1 seconds. i.e: 100% -> 10%: cannot go lower than 10%. 90% + 1 -> 1: cannot go lower than 1. 100% -> 10% + 1 -> 0%: dead. For each, '->' means 1 instance of damage. Everything happens within 0.1 seconds. Additionally, Curse reduces OSP. At 10% or higher max HP reduction, you lose OSP entirely. (Curse is increased by: Shaped Glass, Artifact of Glass, Eclipse 8, Tonic Affliction) And also, barrier is no longer separate. At 100% health and 100% barrier, you will go down to 10% health, 0% barrier.
@@FrostedFlakes1800 brand new player figured out that engineer and shaped glass work really well add that on the thing that gives you more shields then the plus 2 he said
@@waitaminute6396 that has nothing to do with staying and getting every item on a stage? And stacking enough shaped glass makes nearly any build unkillable
It’s better to be faster though, the difficulty goes up quickly and you won’t get much stronger from a bunch of random white items you’ll get in the first few stages. I’d say rush the teleporter in the first stages to get ahead of the difficulty and get a preon, them you can farm items more on the 4th stage
I just play on console and I have been trying these tips and I just die because they keep sourounding me and when I run they smoke me when I didn’t realize there where more
Anyone know why he didn’t take the leeching seed at 5:40? I know these are clips from his “unlock everything in one run” but I don’t know how leeching seed would negatively affect the run
unlocking Rejuv Rack (Naturopath challenge) requires you to complete the 3rd teleporter event without healing. passive regen is okay, so slugs and knurls are okay (because both increase your passive regen and don't actually heal you.) all other healing is not
How do we fix commando? Out of all the survivors he needs the most to get going in the early game. His M1 is good especially later on but for the most part he just has a horrible time starting runs.
He needs i-frames and attack speed scaling on his R which has been said, but I think his right click severely needs to be reworked. It feels like a wet noodle and you almost never want to save it for hitting characters in a line rather than just adding damage to your rotation. I would rather it be an AoE explosion, or move the phasing/line aspect of it to his R and move the single target damage role to his right click.
there aren't really any roles. you can kind of play certain roles with your friends but for the most part, there isn't a "class." however, REX has a bunch of innate healing but also his abilities cost HP to use... not exactly a support or healer role you were thinking of
Hey Woolie. Appreciate the tips, but how do I avoid my game crashing between 5-30 minutes of every run? I never die in the game because I always end up crashing first. How do I fix this? Thanks.
what platform are you on? for consoles - I have no idea how to troubleshoot. for PC - try right clicking the game in Steam and go: Properties > Local Files > View Integrity of Game Files. let it scan & repair anything and try again
@@Woolie Yep I've tried that about 100 times. Updated drivers, chkdsk, memory check, turned off all background software, reinstalled the game, turned off antivirus/firewall etc. To no avail
thank u for your video, this was my last efford at traying to like this game, but its a no for me, the core mechanic of running in circles trying to find a portal its way to annoying
It's $15 on nintendo switch eshop right now, aside from that I would've bought it at full price $29.99. It's just so good to play. I'd buy it for $40-50. It's so much fun.
I’m starting to get the feel of the game, however I feel like the commando (first character) is so underwhelming. His specials do basically tickle damage and he doesn’t really have a mob clear special. The huntress has the raining arrows and thrown saw blade that help immensely. What is it about the commando because I think he sucks.
I I have unlocked every character, all of commando's skills, Huntress, and almost mercenary but I keep losing and dying and I keep moving but it doesn't work. Not to mention having God runs get immediately destroyed by a malakyte
Gotta say, my little brother(about 11 years old) had enjoy this game. But he's not that good so he always play on easy(which I forgot its name), so here is the last update(since Rex come out maybe?) they adjust the balance of the game which mean the enemy too. My brother tried the new character from my profile(cuz he didn't have it). And he loved it but when he start the game, I saw that he usually died before the second loop or just the first stage(he always beat the first loop before the update) even it was easy. So I observed that the first loop, those elite enemy had spawn too early. In the first stage, my brother has faced those elite for atleast 3 or 5 of them and ofcourse they're hard to kill and always make a trouble if you don't get rid of them. So I just want them too change the easy mode to get more easy especially the elite enemy tho, and don't worry. I can handle myself on monsoon now bc of your tips vdo(and thx for that Woolie) Ps. rip my eng Ps2. remember my brother still a kid tho
My favorite mechanic of the game is like 12 enemies spawning behind you and ruining you, hard enemies IMMEDIATELY spawning in that just fuck you up. I genuinely don’t understand this game or how anyone enjoys it. I can’t beat the first teleporter, there’s tons of enemies and shit takes too long
So the object is to find the Teleporter? Teleporter is a Capture the Flag scenario? I'm on PS4Pro so this feels like steering a cow. I suck. Have died every time so far. Even on easy.
