I found Out something while playing with 99999 or something clovers with a Cheat Mod... They didnt seem to Change the Droprate of lunar coins but with that amount of clovers i had a very high Chance of getting an elemental aspect after Killing an enemy... This only affects aspect Drops and no other drops
57 leaf clover will reroll even with a disirable result. It keeps that result and might get a second result that you want. Test this with a happiest mask and you can get 2 ghosts from one kill due to the clover. OP, right?
sounds like some dead FPS especially if it happens on a vagrant magma/overloading worm or a dunestrider since they will ALWAYS do their big attack when they get low hp
I've had a god run with engineer, only existing on the level killed everything... i had to obliterate myself, nothing was able to kill me... it was kinda fun
@@Bunuffin enemies stopped spawning after 3 or so hours but for some reason I kept on going. At one point, I left my pc on and went outside. Came back, not dead and no enemies but I was past 8 hours.
lets not forget that if you get hit by ice elite's death nova, if it drops you to 10% of your health, it also kills you. found this out the hard way when i was trying to cheese artificer unlocks with artifact of glass, lmao
Hi Woolie, I'd like to see the following videos: 1) Item combos and maxing effectiveness. I.e. how do you create a game breaking combination and this includes mass 3d printing items. And 2) Prismatic Trials. Hopoo will likely start rewarding the 10% bracket soon and so far I'm coming pretty close. But I want to hear what you have to say when time becomes the major deciding factor of success. All in all I'm entertained. Thanks for your wisdom.
had a run with a friend with 11 shaped glass and ceremonial daggers; i sneezed on something and the daggers killed literally everything as they spawned growing exponentially, we ended up obliterating with beads after sneezing on the scavenger in the moment whole
Did you know there's actually a super rare "Kin Artifact" event in this game? I just had one with wisps, because it said in chat "[warning] the air begins to burn" and there's one for each type of enemy! (Golems and Titans are just evil) Just saying. And of course, it persists between levels and the teleporter spawns the boss variant of them.
It's shame those events are so rare. Been playing for about 80 hours so far and only experienced about 4 of them (first being in my very first game :P)
@@crabking3525 if you made a suggestion that is not related to buffing mercenary i am quite sure, like 99,9%, that you will be ignored :P Ror Discord community is apeshit crazy about mercenary...
I agree Lunar Coins are very OP. I had a pretty good but nothing special Merc run the other day with Soulbound Catalyst bought 3 Shaped Glass and Gestures with the Capacitor and just ran around watching things die to the point I didn't even get to use my abilities on them just watched everything drop.
1shot protection is super derpy in this game. Most of mobs that can kill you in 1 shot also have DoT aswell, so even though you were protected from insta-kill you will still die a second later either way. Then we also have certain mobs that shot few projectiles at once, so the protection just won't work.
Hey Wollie I love your content and I watch every video. Do you play with your fan base on your stream and/or any chance we could do a run together I would very much enjoy that.
thank you for the kind words - and occasionally, yeah, I'll do viewer runs on stream. best place to know when those happen is by joining our Discord :)
Heretic has some sick hp pool, only two trancendences and glass, still 6k hp and almost no dmg from enemies. Btw purity made this run extremely broken. Apparently stacking purity makes sense since my bears and procs worked :T
Yo Woolie, do you even full loot yourself at some points in your runs? And if so, do you still (full) loot at a time like 90 mins or above when you are powerful af. Because you told us in the video the time factor became irrelevant past that point.
the only times I'll "full loot" is after the 1st loop. and I never go out of my way to try and find literally everything, so it's not even full looting, in the literal sense. and yea, on God-runs, I barely loot anything past around 1.5 hrs or so because you really don't need anything else
My god run was me going afk at 100 minutes and just needing to hit 2 or 3 buttons to wipe the map, so i got a sandwich and came back and hadn't died. I sacrificed myself later XD
Im pretty sure clover does work with chance shrines. Asked it in the official discord and Sai (mod, not a dev) said that it affects it. So idk but im pretty sure it does
Sadly, they are mistaken. riskofrain2.fandom.com/wiki/57_Leaf_Clover Scroll down to see the entire list of effects and chance shrines are clearly a part of the NOT affected list
I mean what I would call a god run is when I got my first red at 40 seconds my second red at 1 minute and 50 seconds my third red at 8 minutes and my 4th at 33
Well im glad they updated the game, before september i had a "God run" it lasted 5 hours and 30 minutes had 4 shaped glasses and I killed everything by just standing afk had 4 Ceremonial Daggers a 57 leaf Clover and 1 Happiest mask. Literally the best run ive ever had fun fact having 30 banners of command will totally cover the entire map everytime it pops. Also thats why im glad cause i was unnable to die thanks to 12 thoughter times which makes it no fun to play honestly having 70 max hp at round 150 max hp at round 51 and only being able to die thanks to suicide. Oh i forgot to say why it was so easy, i had 27 crowbars. I didnt cheat btw. Also have proof picture of the run having happened. I dont know if its that special. Maybe it is.
Lol i NEVER see harvesters scythes 😐 I’ve had 9+ glasses before I’ll see a harvester p much every game😭 idky Edit: just realized I don’t even have it unlocked😭 I would just see it with friends
How come there is no use of the artifact of command. Is it not useful, or does it make the game harder to complete? I'm new to the game, and it seems a way to bypass the rng elemetn of the game.
So heres what i do to get my god runs Step 1. Grind out 20-30 lunar coins. Step 2. Always enter the Time Shop Step 3. Buy Shaped Glass Step 4. Abuse the OSP for insane gameplay.
I stacked 12 shaped glass as heretic and got to what I assume was below 1 HP or just 1 HP. Whole stages gone by doing nothing BUT I ate through all of my DIOS' and the run ended because of a constant combination of FALL DAMAGE + Heretics health loss passive + 1HP :(
I got a God run with huntress, a lot of will-o'-the-wisps, gasolines and crowbars, 3x black knife legendary, guillotines and full crit with a lot of attack speed... I only needed to kill a beetle and the whole map was gone, leaving knifes which would kill the new spawns, which would leave more knifes, that would kill more things and so on and so forth. Pretty fun for the first tree stages after I got the knifes, but having an insta kill on the whole map in >2sec gets old very very fast (got 7B dmg at the end tho)
Here's what a God Run looks like: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q_XiEn9cFzI.html Still feel bad about that ninja Elder Lemurian tho...
I only have 2 runs where I got good enough to loop the first one I died at stage 6 to a golem the second I died to a imp overlord bleed at stage 7 so I'm never even unlocking clover :(
Could anyone tell me what the maximum number of Shaped Glass someone could pick up in a Command Run? I've only gotten to around x10 Stacks of Shaped Glass, more or less dropping my character's health to a single point ((give or take Barriers from Aegis, etc.)). I keep getting mixed messages from various sources on whether or not it's possible to grab more without "dying". Some sources say the game's code can handle up to x128 Shaped Glass before the game's just like "nope!" and crashes. Other friends of mine say that any attempts at grabbing Shaped Glass to a point where it goes below 1 point of health, and you just automatically die. Please help me Mr. Streamer. :(
1:57 You're talking about oneshot protection with shaped glass. I recently died to what seemed to be one hit while i was at full hp. Do you know what happened? Here's the clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A6kPYsXkEuA.html
they removed OSP if you have >10% of your HP cursed. curse is the debuff given by shaped glass & spinel tonic afflictions, so taking 1 shaped glass (50% curse) is enough to remove OSP
can you explain why gnarled woodsprite is so good when stacking shaped glass? it heals 1.5% of max health/second. is this max health the value before or after applying shaped glass health modifier and if the latter, what makes it so good when the healing is also reduced?
I'm actually unsure and need to do some testing to give a concrete answer. All I can say is that from my experience, woodsprite functions extremely well at low HP levels
no, teddies scale logarithmically, meaning they provide less bonus with more stacks. a good breakpoint to remember is 10 bears as that is exactly 60% chance to block. and, for reference, going up to 20 bears is only a 15% increase in block - from 60% to 75%.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but wouldn't sources of shield (such as the shield generator) still be undesirable to stack when playing around OSP as they can't be healed in the same way that health can?
you are absolutely correct - no misunderstanding at all. I said that shield gens don't ruin OSP anymore due to now being cut in accordance with however many shaped glass you have. they are still undesirable to have
How could you love it in the start haha it always kills my runs probably cuz I'm not that good at dodging but still.. And BTW if you do use shaped glasses would you say there is a limit to how many you should pick up? And do you always get some infusions to get the hp back or is it recommendable to have low hp as he said in the video because of the OSP.
@@TB-smiles Try out what works for you. I like having around 3-4 shaped glass by the end of the 2 hour mark, but by then I usually hope to have been lucky and end up with maybe a dozen infusions.
@@iamn00bish OK your tactic sounds reliable ^^ Anyways I thought that woolie meant we should aways stay on low hp (thru shaped glasses) because then we will faster regenerate to 90% healing for the OSP. But then I guess I misunderstood him ^^
@@TB-smiles getting shaped glass are PRETTY dead idea on first loop. You will not be one-shotted before second loop, and so on. You basically want it because of OSP, not because of damage. Yes, its stacking multiplicative and you will x2048 new base damage at 11 value, but you will never reach that values. Also, you can stack 8-10 shaped glass so you will be immortal. Why? Health reducing on shaped glass is inverse-linear (that means you will never get value of 0 or 100), so your minimum value before overflowing the integer is 1. Remember one shot protection? If you are careful enough, you can never get +hp items.
Do I understand right that if you have some shield then your oneshot protection disables for huge 7 seconds every time when you loose more than 10% of your hp? And if you have a shaped glass, then it's 5% of your hp without shaped glass, so isn't that a reason to avoid shelds generators if you don't use trancendence?
If you have at least 2 shield gens (>10% HP as shields) and take damage, then yes, your OSP will not be back up until the shields recharge (7 seconds to begin charging and another second or so to refill) However stacking glass does not change this threshold at all - the shield gens will still take up the same % of your HP, regardless of its amount
@@Woolie So why blue health becomes 2 times shorter when you take a shaped glass? And for me not having osp for 7 seconds instead of just lifeleech to 100% in one second is enough reason to avoid shield gens at least after first loop right after the moment when I find any usefull white printer and convert all my white thash in something good like 10 teddy bears.
there is a mod that makes the teleporter instantly charge if you kill the boss quickly. So you no longer have to wait 90 secs (you said nice game btw to this point. So i assume it's something you dislike). The mod is called "no boss no wait."
that mod sorta fucks difficulty progression since waiting the 90 seconds is supposed to happen so the game remains at a relevent level of difficulty even if you just rush the teleporter every stage *(granted this mod would be a huge help for players who literally farm every chest in a stage before using the teleporter)* and kinda insults people who try to speedrun to obelisk without the mod example -> Normal player:i got a obelisk speedrun in 15 minutes probably the best run yet Player who uses the mod:big deal i can do a obelisk run in like 10 minutes or less
Hey Woolie, what is the difference in having a woodsprite with or without fuelcells/gestures? don't these only shorten the cooldown to send the sprite away again or am I missing something?
you can send the sprite by using it but if you press q while not aiming at any ally it will do a bigger heal to you and go on cooldown while still passively healing you
@@Calam1tyM8 even if you dont be at 1 health shaped glass damage stacking is fucking crazy. Your damage will be multiplied by 2048 at 11x shaped glasses.
Nope, everything is lost on death and every run begins at level 1. That's the nature of the "rogue-like" genre. But dont worry - there is still a great sense of progression as you play
@@jasondp3546 different experiences - when I played Moonlighter, there wasn't very much content at all. Dunno how much they'e added since but I can also say the gameplay loop of RoR2 is much more fast-paced. My money would go to RoR2 but again - they are different games, despite both being "rogue-like"
another simple and good vid from you haha, i caught your stream on phone one time it was great and i am gonna predict the future again. you gonna be grt~
Woolie hey woolie, is it still okay to stack shields? I thought I should always avoid them but after watching this video three times I just noticed that it says “it’s okay to stack now” and just wanted to know if that was still okay to this day.
Hey Woolie, new to RoR 2 and watched a lot of your videos, but I was curious what you/any experienced player thinks the best difficulty to get acquainted with the game is? I did Drizzle for a few hours then moved onto Normal, but I just cant really handle Monsoon at all. Should I just grit my teeth and bare it or stick with normal till I'm comfortable?
