We all have had sessions like that, can't get many playable hands, and the ones you do just don't connect well with the board or do but 2nd best. Sometimes, chips saved are just like chips won. Hope the planets align better for you, and gravitational pull is in you favor next session. At least you showed that every session isn't a winning one, honestly is appreciated!

You're inspirational to the average guy who starts with 200 and comes out with a decent return... Of course we all hit and miss like the rest... but man I'm so glad you're back.. This is great to hear! Keep it up. Sure, we may be playing "small stakes," but you can walk away with hundreds of dollars consistently, which is a big deal to a lot of us. Sure, you can become a GTO bot, but I think with proper focus on developing yourself (mental game), you can heavily increase your win rate, both at poker and at life.

Great content man despite the awful beats.. I don't know if it's like this in other casinos, but the local ones here in Tampa FL with 1-3 or even 1-2 games are full of donkey trailer park bingo players playing nearly every hand. I recently jumped to 2-5 and the game feels more like real poker with not too many shit hands to dodge.

Why would you want to play with goof players? There is a lot more money to be made at a table of Donkeys. Years ago there was a Meme “You should play higher stakes where they respect your raises.”
@Matt-zl1by
@Matt-zl1by 2 года назад
@@mjriemen I like a balance of nits and loose cannons. If I'm playing with a bunch of loose players, the more people in the hand, the more likely they are to hit the flops.. I prefer to isolate my opponents rather than go to a flop with the full table every hand for any pre flop raise amount. Not to mention down here, a lot of people 3 bet loose or call a 20x blind raise.. They can be exploited but it can still be a challenge facing calling stations..

I’m just curious cause I started playing poker a year and a half ago and in 6 months I lost $4000 then in a month I won $4000 then in another 5 months I lost $4000 and I quit playing poker.

That’s the worst! I recently played at a card room where I can’t vlog. I often dream of playing poker sessions and it’s such a great feeling. So when I get to play in real life, there is nothing I’d rather do. I was coming off a great dream, absolutely pumped to play poker. That thought of, “but what if I get unlucky” popped into my head. I dismissed it. Bought in for 700$ at the 2/5 game. First hand I play is J♦︎9♦︎, got all in on the turn vs A♥︎J♣︎and the board is 8♠︎T♣︎3♦︎Q♦︎K♥︎. He called my bet preflop and on the flop and on the turn, he donk led into me for 250 and I jammed. He called. That’s poker 🥶

Hand 1 is a 100% turn check. I could get behind an overbet if you think the players will fold a one pair type of hand, but since the villain put his last 90 in after you bet I'd say effective stacks were not deep enough to warrant the play, instead you have good equity, and a marginal made hand, so you should just take your free card, and not expose your self to check raised here. I salute you for posting this session, and being honest with us viewers, but you played really poorly(it happens to us all), and I also don't understand why you show up to the casino with only one bullet to play with. You really handcuff yourself after losing a portion of your stack and having to play with a 50-60 bb stack. Still enjoy the vlogs, hope you make the necessary improvements going forward.

You misplayed a lot of these. 46 suited: fold pre. Even in position it’s just too weak to call a raise. Fold and wait for a better spot. A9, fold pre. A9 is too easily dominated vs a raise and you’re out of position. Yes the ace high flush is nice when you get it, but again, it won’t hit enough and will be offset by the times you hit a pair and lose a moderate pot because of kicker issues KT: tbh I’d just limp. It has some potential but this seems like a fishy table and all the junky AX hands that people should fold could be sticking around, meaning you probably have to bluff sometimes to make it profitable and that doesn’t work too well at this type of table, as the guy acting like his bottom pair and gutter was the nuts in the first hand shows. KQ. CHECK THE FLOP. With 3 players involved, someone very likely has the ace and you’re just throwing good money in after bad, and even if no one has an ace they certainly aren’t going to call a bet here with worse, so what does this bet accomplish? It isn’t a bluff because better hands don’t Fold, and it isn’t a value bet because worse hands don’t likely call. In a spot like a that Your main goal should be to get to showdown as cheaply as possible unless you improve. Plus that board is super connected and people just won’t fold often. Heck, they might even check raise you with some draws, and indeed the check raise is just what happened, putting you in an ugly spot you could have avoided by realizing KQ is a showdown hand here and checking back.
