Great info! Thank you. Can I assume the registration marks need to be outside of the print area, which means I need to allow and compensate for that extra space? The little rectangles are a good idea since they don’t take up a lot of room. I used to do mechanicals… pre-digital… and forgot that we used registration marks. Digital files for “traditional” offset printing don’t require them, but for this process, they’re necessary. Like a trip down memory lane. It seems Riso combines digital technology with some old-school technical elements. Thanks again!
We have more and more RISO duplicators in graphic arts companies and we are faced with print quality problems such as irregularities in color areas. This phenomenon is mainly ink that dries on the drum (non-regular use), we must then clean the surface of the drum body and silk (gasoline F) but despite this cleaning, it can remain traces and we must then replace the silk to make the flat color perfect. Is there a solution to clean the silk ( screen asy ) effectively to avoid its replacement (eg, soak the silk in a special product) ? Thanks
