Risu's Manager Was Really Worried With How Risu Handles Her Own Viewers

Her streams are like that (a bunch of friends hanging out) precisely *because* she's always been up front with the rules and has never given leeway on them. She's cultivated a community rooted in mutual respect and that knows the difference between light ribbing and just being mean.

To me, the most miserable people are those who believe they are doing the right thing, even though they are actually not. So, be thankful if someone scolds you for doing something wrong. Be thankful because now you can rectify your mistake. Be thankful because now you can use your efforts to do better. And finally, be thankful that someone actually cares enough about you. If they don't care, they can simply ignore you, as you will only sink deeper and deeper into your mistake. If someone scolds you, don't get angry immediately. Instead, take some time to consider whether there may be truth in what they are saying. If there is, try to correct the error, and be thankful. (Well, if they're just being ridiculous , that's a different matter entirely.😂)

I'm of the firm opinion that Risu (and others) who are "firm", help the Holomem who have a harder time being "firm". They help the entire community, not just Risu's.

Unfortunately, and I might get flak for saying this, but there is always a twinge of hypocrisy running with these conversations. As if talking to the chat like they're babies needing to be managed, primarily because more "nerdy" hobbies have people look down on the ones in those hobbies. Its all well and good to have a message about improving yourself, but the issue comes when knowing the very reason why an audience comes back is attraction or affection to the streamer. But then acting like that is a problem is contradictory at best, harmful at worst because you foster dependance while whittling down at the person's self-confidence. Moreover, knowing that thousands will at their beck and call comfort them when they themselves get depressed, even having the adoration, money, and recognition others wouldn't have, further shows that contradiction. Its just wholly misunderstanding the root of why there is so much loneliness in this world right now, and fixating on the fact your audience are nerds and not the larger problem. There are people with children, who have/had spouses desperately looking even with dating apps or any place to belong online for FRIENDSHIP, not even just significant others. I'm all for having a bit of tough love for people, but this seems to be treating adults like they're parasites who need to be mitigated than a sign of mutual respect. So that isn't coming into a conversation acting like you're speaking to an equal.
