Ritual Path (4-2) Skip Tutorial | Demon's Souls Remake Speedrunning

A video explaining how to unintended shortcuts to skip almost all of Shrine of Storms 4-2, Ritual Path, in Demon's Souls Remake, sometimes dubbed the Catacombs skip. This will put you in the Old Hero boss room, currently no way known of skipping him entirely in Current Patch. BE WARNED that you could potentially soft lock your character, ruining that save file! Make sure to watch the whole video to know how to prevent that.

Also something to note: once you get to the boss and die, close the application before you fully phase out and you’ll respawn right in front of the boss door

This helped out a lot appreciate it, I’m lvl 49 and had 234k souls I lost trying to get back to that reaper you fell by I was pissed lmao, wish I saw this before.

I read this as 5-2 skip and got so happy. I ain’t gonna lie this took me around 30-40 tries to finally get right, but compared to the swamp this shit is light work

*UPDATE* There is a new, more effective skip that gets you to Old Hero faster and allows INSTANT retries when you die to him; only catch is that you need Adjudicator to be alive 😥 If you meet that criteria or just wanna see it, here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xsVb5QiF7g0.html

Just use the thief ring and that makes this boss alnost the easiest boss in the whole game

Love the videos keep it up any idea about the 4 other items added into the game by bluepoint thay havent been found ? I saw an article on my phone about it

Thank you 😌 A lot of us think the 4 items are likely hidden out of bounds and not supposed to be accessible because we think we woulda found them by now if they were supposed to be available. Just leftover assets yknow? But who's to say for sure

@@BertoPlease anyone try a 99 cermaic coin trade to the crow ? Technically in 9 play throughs its enough coins to get the pentrator armor and keep 99 coins weird the math is there

I am 34 level with a Scimitar +4 and I can't beat those skeletons with the giant swords. What's your advice?

It's possible your fists do more damage than a curved sword, believe it or not haha, so maybe try that? might not be good damage but better

Will I still be able to travel to the nexus and other places after this glitch?

If you kill Old Hero or use Nexial Binding yeah, unless if you mean when you softlock, then the only way to fix it is with the PS+ activity warps unfortunately. Ive tried to see if theres any other way to get out but doesnt seem like it

I got the glitch right but it started me from the beginning. I thought you said that It would save once I did the glitch. Did I do something wrong?

You mean you landed on the pillar and then you spawned where you rolled off?

@@BertoPlease in the video when you did the glitch you said when you die you spawn back at the pillar but I spawned right at the beginning of the level

@@thelemonadeking5285 I meant more so that you'll hear your character die, but you reload when you hear the character scream (with the cat ring on). If done right you'll be on top of a pillar in the boss room, so you dont actually die

I kinda did that same thing, softlocked, and no PS card to go to. Level 214, penetrator armor and everything.

oh no im sorry 😞 yeah since its an unintended bug its just not something they protect you from, the ps ward is pure coincidence that it works i imagine

Finally thank you! I did it and travelled through a different world and it got fixed. Also finished the game after 3 days of hard work with your help! (Fyi it's my first time playing a dark-demon Souls game and I got so fascinated by the mechanics and the ps5 graphics) again thank you for everything

This helps in no way at all! You're missing having the difficulty of running past enemies shown. No one will have a clue at doing this because you left our the actual challenge bro! C'mon!!
