Nicola Lucente no there microfibre is very durable But these leather RS1 are class

Samy G they are bulkier and have better knuckle protection also the lace track system is excellent Reyes are v good gloves For sparring I think I would go with these over Reyes

They're different, i think rfx sparring are slightly better. But this are superb and they cost half of the guerrero.

Are these better than cleto reyes gloves? I have a pair of good lace up reyes but I’m thinking of buying those rival gloves

Also good for heavy bag ? In terms of durability and feeling the punch on contact. I had twins special bgvl3 16 oz and i hated them to use on heavybag , they were so top heavy which hindered my technique. and very bulky that you cant feel anything on contact. (I m 143 lbs , also felt very heavy on my hands) Also wears off much quicker when used on heavy bag. What about these ? Is good for multi purpose one glove for everything heavy bag , sparring and mitts ?

The durability of this glove is good. The only downside for me is the grip bar.

is the rich PU or leather better on these gloves? it says on the website that the lime green and gold color are rich PU

Emanuel Fhinn I like the leather better but the synthetic leather is very good quality Ands will last a good time👊🏼👍🏼

Do you plan on getting and reviewing the 2.0? I feel like they have cheaply made this glove and have cut back on the quality to save money. It would be nice if you could review the RS1 2.0 and compare the two.

I’m not that keen to spend money on a glove that I don’t feel is fit for sparring (due to the thumb attachment position allowing thumbing to be done) the RS1 original in leather is a class glove for me the Rs1 2.0 is a worse glove I won’t rule out getting the 2.0 but I could spend that money on gear I really like

@@Fit2Box Got you, and they have manufactured newer pairs so, they have a fully attached thumb now. I just received a pair and the thumb is fully attached. The originals are hard to find now a days. I just noticed a few differences from the originals that would be good for the community to be aware about.

Rival rs1, 147 euros plus 15 eur shiiping to Spain. total 165 eur. Ringtocage 100 eur plus 57 euros shipping to Spain, total 160. But i agree with You. Rival beat It to ringtocage. Prices between them is similar.

Hello mate. I ve decided bought this gloves but my concern, i ve Heard You said is bulky 16 oz And i would like to know if i buy 14 oz, is it similar in padding to 16 oz. wether is similar. I prefer buy it 14 oz. Thank You.

Hello Simon. At least i bought my rival rs1 but 16 oz i decided this because my actually weight is almost 210 pounds. I Hope so It wont be bulky gloves.ill write you when It shipping to my door. Take care.

Jay c Hi there yes for your weight 14oz These are a big padded glove so 16oz will be too big With these particular gloves look at poss 12oz to more likely 14oz Normal size glove for your weight is 14oz

Fit2Box thank you so much!! The RS1 you reviewed was the genuine leather ones, have you been used the Rich PU ones? I'm wondering if the RS1 with Rich PU(Golden color) has the same durability or not?

Dominick Ramirez I didn’t think that they felt heavy but for me the width of the knuckle area was big And these were 14oz I normally wear 16oz sparring gloves The bigger you go the more protection for your sparring partner but the wider the knuckle width👊🏼👍🏼

James Powell I would say sabas are a sleeker glove so the hand compartment is bigger in these gloves👊🏼

I think if you buy gloves for sparring you either have someone else to lace or the partner can do it for ya . unless both have laces then yeah, problem ;D

Thanks, they seem pretty similar to the rs11v, except they are made of leather and actually seem like generally better gloves. Would appreciate it if you could give an idea of what you think, even without them.

1frank007 Hard with only seeing a picture I will say that the only Rival gloves that I have been disappointed in with regards to rival was a pair that were cheaper and PU All the rival leather gloves I have tried have been on Have been good standard and stylish They have a straight forward Velcro and look less bulky than say the rs2v I reviewed👊🏼👍🏼

Hey man, thanks, yeah they seem less bulky than the rs2v and I think I will just take a risk and buy them. I was considering buying some Reyes/Winning, but since I'm fairly new to the fight scene I think I'll give it a few more years before I go premium. In the meantime, I wanted some mid-range yet good gloves. Also, thanks for the videos they are really informative and quite interesting :)
