yeah i agree to an extent if u have the capacity to play these champions properly overall u will have a higher win rate because they will be able to outplay in many situations unlike warwick who u can only let one person and i agree this is true for most people that they don't have the best mechanics in the world compared to someone like me that is diamond 5 within a year of playing the game and its my first moba so hehe xd
I disagree Riven is hard to play and very hard to master, the amount of natural talent you need to pull off these basic combos are actually quite difficult. You can easily tell if someone is a first time riven and a riven main.
How i became effective with riven: 1-feed 2-feed 3-watch montages about her 4-fantasize a pentakill with her 5-learning combos 6-almost giving up 7-learned fast combo 8-started getting kills on my own 9-learning more combos 10-learned doublecast by adrian riven 11-watched this video 12-tried some combos from this video 13-practiced and memorize a few combos 14-winning more games with her 15-Got creative with combos 16-made up combos using current knowledge about animation cancels 17-practicing these combos 18-getting good, got m5 then m6 shortly after 19-started struggling with some match ups 20-looked for videos about difficult match ups 21-learned more and more combos 22-got good with hard match ups 23-used current knowledge about match ups for other unknown match ups 24-got m7 (for some reason, after i got m7, my gameplay has gotten wayyyy better :D) 25-Currently trying not be toxic and practicing with riven everyday in practice tool before going to pvp

Now I know this isn't an animation cancel, but I don't believe you covered the fast Q animation (in which you put in a movement command to shorten the Q's animation by 0.2s)
You mean what i did at 1:27? Well I think I covered it, I just didn't display a move there in the combo because I already didn't do so in all other combos, like for examples qw where you do a move command between q and w. This isn't a very educational video for beginners, there are already enough out there.
+Spyroflex I don't know if you heard about that but if you use '' laugh '' just after an animation ( especialy Q ), it will stop the animation --> reset attack timer (almost sure about that) Nice video btw, it will help me a lot :3
+Thresh Plays In some cases it does help, ive had a hilarious situation lately. As you know, Riven is a champ without skill cap, there is always sth. to learn. Beside these ^ Animation cancels i found myself one that only works if you laugh. Its E - H - W - Laugh (which gives you the possibility to Q + AA in the same second). You could combine that with R1 after the first E and R2 after the AA
Not even a Riven player, but she looks extremely hard and I'm liking it, even if I suck for first 100 games I want to pick her up. (As a Tekken player, having a champion with many different combos for different situations appeals to me) :D

Thats not how it goes brah. First of all, you dont need to learn all these combos. It's alot more effective to learn the champ itself, know how much dmg you have and what you are able to do. Kills early on are indeed pretty useful, but you can catch people offguard anyway for easy kills, even later on
How do you press the buttons anyway? Do you press 2 keys at the same time with 2 fingers? I saw boxbox telling that if you E-W it'll stun the area before you move,so I pressed both at the same time and worked like he said
Picking up Riven again after dropping her as my main after the nerfs back in s3-s4. She's incredibly fun still and this video really is helping me remember all the small tricks I used to do. Sure she can, just not as hard as in the past. You just have to realize that you can't pick Riven against every other toplaner. Riven mid can carry harder nowadays then top. You wanna snowball, ganking bot and taking drag which got more important. And you won't be missing an op tank top.
it is sad to say that most riven players are addicted to each of this combos's and they tried and yet failed... i believe that even a simple combos can do the trick if you have a great and awesome timing to do it and get the kill... nooffence guys.. Well, you can actually press E wait a brief moment and then WQ or EW wait a moment and Q. Try what works for you the best. Both should also work with 3rdQ.
Now look: That is why there are actually so many Riven Players (not in bronze/silver/gold). Because to master that Champ you play a whole new game inside of League.
So how exactly does one execute said combo's? (basically how do you animation cancel?) Do you just spam said combo rly fast? Or do you have to say, random example; Q, Click move, E, Click move, Q again, Click move, W, Click move, Q3, Click move. To execute correctly?

Sometimes you have to press keys at the same time like EW, sometimes you have to pause like 0,2 sec until pressing the next key like in EW Q and sometimes you have to click move between some abilities like in QW. Team Khaoz actually these combos aren't really optimal for real in game situation as the first half of them dont even weave in auto attacks to maximize dps. anyway even if you wanted to memorise and use these combos to try an assasinate someone, you're better off weaving in auto attacks to maybe save yourself the second part of your ultimate to use to kill someone else
porochu u stupid? He is canceling animations since combo 1. E+Q he is canceling Q animation with his E. And he is pretty much canceling every W animation with hydra, and he cancels every R animation In his combos, he is double casting always, even triple cast, what the fuck are you saying?
Notice me senpai. Since I'm new here in LoL, and I've been playing a mobile moba with a main of Riven ripoff(in active skills but not the passive), im kinda interested in these combo. Buy i got confused on what ti press. Lol.
No speedup editing or anything, at 1:27 you can even see my 0,76 attackspeed at the bottom left so with the fastQ combo I can effectively triple my attackspeed. You aren't a Rivenmain are you? You just have to trust me that i didnt cheat for the rest of the video.
You can add an auto into the e + flash > double cast combo, you have to queue the attack command on the target about a frame before flashing, then the auto will go off before you continue the double cast^^
It's clearly harder then before but i don't have so much trouble then others have stated they have. I almost never pick Riven when i don't know the enemy top pick. And Renek is a very decent pick i enjoy that's good against Rivencounters. Riven mid is viable too. I just think that if this meta didn't exist some Rivenmains like me and probl you would be to op xD
My friend gifted me the dawnbringer skin and riven because I have it in my summoner name and I've refused to play her all this time. Trying to learn her watching this and now I just feel like I'm wasting my time. this is so damn complicated. do you just go in and practice/feed to eventually determine which combos are best for the situation? I can't even fast Q and I feel so lost.
How is 90 ping even noticeable lmao. Back at my old place I was lucky If my Ping was at a steady 200-250. And I could always tell when walking home how the internet would be. Oh, there's some clouds in the sky and slightly windy, guess I should expect 500+ ping. And If the weather got crazy, (which it did all the time when you live ontop of a mountain in the middle of nowhere in Iceland) my ping would get to 10,000 and the most it got to was 97,000) So when I play with 70-150 ping, It feels just as smooth as 30 ping must feel like. I climbed to Platinum when I had steady 200-300 ping that would spike upto 10k+ during fights & shit. So I don't get how people complain over ping when they got perfect ping. Entitled millenial shits.
You should categorize them more because only some of them are useful in 1v1 scenarios and others in team fighting, while others are engaging and finishing combos.
no, to enable the double/triple/multi cast, you have to press e first and during the e animation you can cast other abilities without being locked in the animation. the timing for almost all of these is that you press e, wait till the end and the for example press wq, a good rule of thumb to get the timing is to press e twice and then wq, or do e - aa - wq, its about the same time you need to do the aa that you would usually wait. Note that you can just press ewq without any timing, but its clunky and doesnt look so smooth like in the video. And if you want to cast the r1, I recommend: er1 - wait for the timing - wq or respectively: er1 - aa - wq so press R1 at the start after e and wq at the end right before the shield expires
