WOW when she sings I made my baby cry ay ay... it almost made me cry... I remember I always hated Christmas every time, every year, and this song of Joni resonated with me ever since
A very touching cover! After all these years, Judy's voice is amazing and her phrasing is superb. The look of the woman in the audience, eyes closed, says it all.
Voice is so incredible - such beautiful singing! Been a fan since the 1960's. I was only about 15 years old when I bought the album "Wildflowers" with my allowance money. First Judy Collins album I bought.
I've always have been a Judy Collins fan. Furthermore I'm from Chatham County North Carolina. The original home for Chatham County Line, that is the band backing up Judy Collins. I remember them playing the General Store in Pittsboro NC years back. And following them occasionally from the newspaper ---The Indy. Chatham County line gave Judy Collins her first number 1 album on the Billboard charts. It was her first number 1 billboard album accomplishment and it came when she was 80 years old.
Did Joni Mitchell write this song. It seems that the only version I remember is by her. If I am mistaken, forgive me. I saw you in concert in the 1970's, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. I was probably in my mid twenties.
