I met him a few times after a QR show in the late 90s-eerly 2000's. Him and the band were so nice. Kevin was hilarious too. He was cracking jokes with me. R.I.P. Kev and Frankie.
Great video and my favorite guitarist. I have had the pleasure of meeting Carlos 5-6 times in my life. Always very cordial. 1st time I met him he put one of his guitars around me for a pic, still have the pic. Not a lot of guys would do that...
Back in January of 1989, I moved to the west cost from Massachusetts. That very same month I was going down the very busy Ventura Freeway and saw Carlos broken down in his white lambo on the side of the road. He had his hands in his pockets and was standing there probably waiting for a tow. The Ventura is so tight and busy, I could not pull over to ask him if he needed a ride. I wish that I could have but the traffic is brutal. One of my big regrets. Would have loved to say hello and helped if I could have. Carlos is the real deal! Always a fan.
great interview! I remember seeing Carlos' instructional video and thinking he just seems like a good down to earth dude. This interview pretty much confirms that. I'm also glad to see this video now, because I was thinking I have too many guitars and maybe I should sell some. Clearly not. I have not enough.

The lambo is much more valuable but carlos didn;t know. It was the first ever LP5000s lambo ever made and was the car they took to the 82 geneva motorshow. Its up for sale unrestored covered in dirt for $700000
My buddy Scott has told me a story about riding with Carlos in his Countach but i didn't realize it was white. I imagined it was red. With this video I finally got to see the car.
that last Ratt album for me stood out cause let's be honest you put Carlos w/ Warren it can't help but be epic. Wish those two would do something together again.
Saw Carlos in 1986 in that exact white Countach, at a house party in Canoga Park. I said HI! He said HI! back. Cool dude. Can't believe he still has that old Lambo...

( but why would a "fan" use a guys stage name and his real name as their own youtube channel name???? : / I dont think you would be carlos? naaaaaa... carlos should use either his own name or if he REALLY wanted to be anonymous? he would use a name completely unrelated to music. ( i would think ) But ok.. either way, whomever you are saying that washburn guitar from 82-83 is gone? : / I think it was the most suitable and coolest guitar for carlos. Im sure it would have needed some better pick ups from stock. But NO ONE else had that guitar.. ever..
He was smart to hold onto that Countach cause they jumped in price by a lot in the last 5 years. He probably sold it and paid for the newer Ferrari and had 50k left.
I can’t believe some dirtbag would steal probably one of his most favorite and reliable guitars in the world. Glad he could have a replica made of his tele.
And it's weird that the stolen Charge was his main guitar back in the clubs and on the first album but they didn't use it in the video. Where they contractually obligated to be filmed with Washburns? I noticed Rudy was also playing a Washburn bass.
