I opened this video because I legitimately was unsure whether the “Riverdale is now called Rivervale” part of the title was a joke or not and I think that says a whole fuckin lot about this show

I don't understand why any of the actors don't just die instantly of an aneurisma or something similar when saying the script of his characters.

I think this is Jughead’s book and he’s just narrating like a reporter now. In the early seasons, he did narrate the show but as voiceovers.

Riverdale it's actually a comic as everybody knows, and in the comics, everything is random, it's just a lot of different stories with the same characters and it's never focused in the real story line, so I think they're trying to make Riverdale not a show anymore, but like the real comics. Incluiding a Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina vibe with Sabrina herself, 'cause Sabrina it's also related to the Archie Comics. That's what I think.

I have never watched a whole episode of this show but from what I can tell it tries to be Glee, Pretty Little Liars, American Horror Story, Sherlock and One Tree Hill all at the same time and spectacularly fails at each and every one.

They had so many ways they could have done something better with this season especially with the season 5 finale , an idea that they could have done is a normal town with no murder or mystery but then realising it’s fake . There was a lot of opportunities they could have taken to make this season a lot better, they have already killed of 2 of the main people So idk how that’s gunna work . The name change make no sence but we’re only 2 eps in so :)

I literally can’t watch any of these scenes without severe second hand embarrassment. Also, I feel like this show could be good if it wasn’t A: a completely butchered adaptation of the Archie Comics, B: if it was either completely satire or at least one of those weird kind of indie shows and C: if it didn’t take itself so seriously. It has some good actors and probably could have thrived if it was it’s own original thing as a show in the genre of weird and bizarre (kind of like what Umbrella Academy got away with; embracing the weird and bizarre tones and allowing complete artistic freedom). Riverdale is also pretty decent at cinematography (the problem is that it’s COMPLETELY out of place with the show’s genre and setting). If they had done this show with original characters and embraced it’s bizarre tones and themes and just let the artistic and creative freedom flow it probably would be pretty good.

I've surpassed the point of being shocked in any way when shows like this are consistently being renewed and the actual good ones are being canceled and buried

When I try to explain this show to someone I always compare it to that game where someone starts a story and the next person picks up where they left off and it keeps going around I a bizarre circle.
