@marshallcray completely agree. After my second instance of phantom braking on a busy freeway, I have stopped using Autopilot. Sometimes hubris of a successful leader (Elon) comes in the way of acknowledging that yes we’re wrong about only using camera based tech and we need to go back until we find an alternative.
Hey man, you better start running your wallet instead of your mouth. All the praise is useless cuz the sales no. of Rivian is awful. That Rust bucket/ god awful Tesla will bury the Rivian sooner or later.
Please put the charge port on the rear left. Mach E videos abound with people having trouble using Tesla chargers because of their incompatible placement. Ford is already saying they'd fix that. Having a standard for this would be very helpful. It would also be useful for those of us who installed home chargers for Tesla when we upgrade to Rivian.
What’s the R2 towing capacity? What’s the inside cargo space with and without the second row seats? Have they reengineered the cell phone charging setup?
Theres an MQHD video where they show the new phone charger and Steve-o makes a joke about it actually working. I dont think they mentioned towing for R2, I was waiting for that.
The R2 is dope but but the R3/R3X stole the show. I love the hatchback design and the features they added to it with the hatch. Definitely looking forward to hearing more about them in the future.
The R2 is the first EV I actually want to get. The Tesla wowed me when it was released, but over the years it lost its appeal. This seems fairly promising
This car has a lot of so called bells and whistles that are not essential to normal operation of the car. Range and price and safety are the most important
2:37 I just realized my main beef with those headlights isn't so much their verticality, rather their narrow spacing, which gives a sort of vacant-eyed look. If they'd shift each one 5" or 6" outward it could look a lot more balanced.
"And it's a vehicle that's almost hard to define what it is". - The R3 is a five door SEAT 127 hatchback from 1973. With about the same ground clearance... You are welcome Rivian.
Maybe. Everything electric is still ambitious. People are still buying hybrids or standard propulsion. If people want to buy electric they buy teslas. Stats don't lie but somebody's funding Rivian.
When they announced their last vehicle (R1S/T in 2018) they promised deliveries in 2020 and a price of ca. $60k. They were 3 years late and $20k over the original price when they shipped the first vehicles in 2023. How long might it really take for the R2 to be delivered and at what price? 2028 and $65k? And will Rivian still exist at that date, with their cash burning rate and low revenue?
@@sedo5505 I can think of ample reasons why the situation isn't much better than back then: Houthis affecting supply chain, Suez canal affecting supply chain, interest rates affecting factory extension, slowing EV enthusiasm making investors pull out of RIVN, etc. etc. We'll see in 2026 what's what
I love rivian now I just need to try their trucks my favourite is the R1T but it will be my first car and is too expensive for that so the R2 I think is great 0-0
look like we got ourselves some winners here. If Rivian can keep the price the way it is, R2, R3 are going to fly off the dealer lots. Tesla should be worried. very worried, and btw, I'm not even a EV guy, at least not yet, let's see how reliable R2, R3 will be.
When Tesla showed the world Cybertruck.....they said it will be 40K and now at launch its being sold at 100K. So dont get you hopes high that the prices Rivian is offering
