Let me know what you guys think of this guitar! Definitely not like other traditional takes on the semi-hollow and has it's own special vibe! Enjoy the demo :)
I came here expecting just another boring copy-guitar and was happily surprised that it wasn't the case. I'm always happy when somebody does even a little change in the desing - although it makes me super sad realizing how small the changes are that we see. Why is it so difficult to desing a new guitar - I mean I've done it so not so difficult.
Rivoltas have always looked pretty cool on the Eastwood website. This one looks especially nice (I'm not a fan of "gold" hardware, but I'll forgive it here), and the tones are cool, as well. Alas, listed at $1,499, it hardly qualifies as a "low-cost" guitar, and is out of my range, but lots of others can probably afford it.
When you want Novo quality but don't want to shell out the $2500+, this is a great option. They are all set up in the Novo shop before shipping out, too.
Oh man, such a beautiful guitar, no dive, 24f, weight, no 3x3, double bound, but $1500, I can't afford it, so thank you for the review, maybe some day.
This is exactly what I want to see; combining things in an untraditional way, to get something completely new. Thank you DB, for always bringing new stuff through instead of massaging a classic guitar collection like other 'Tubers..👌👍
I just bought one today, I’ve been playing it for a month or so at the store and decided to pull the trigger today. I absolutely love this guitar! Affordable guitar that competes with guitars 2-4x the price!!
Finally you played the cleans in the middle position instead of 5 milliseconds of C&W jangle like you normally do !!! We use the middle position a lot more than you and it was sooooooo refreshing to hear you play the same thing in the neck, middle and bridge position. This is how i can get an idea if i want t buy a guitar i can't try in person because it's highly likely not for sale in an NZ or Oz shop *and* we are currently locked down and the guitar shops are not open. Also, if a guitar has split coil options or series/parallel etc in future like the last guitar you demo'd can you please play through clean and distorted/driven the same thing in each position/option so we can get an idea of how it sounds even if your signal chain is not the same as ours. At least i'll get an idea of the sound. It *does* make a difference and if you've got affiliate links then it's gonna send more $$$ your way too. cheers, Peter
Those fretboard inlays are massive!! Sounds great, like the headstock and you can’t beat a semi hollow. I cringe when I see gloss black guitars because I have nightmares of constantly wiping off fingerprints!! Very noce
I'm thinking how much fun it will be to have those massive inlays get chipped and need replacing. Wow - what great fun, eh?!! I bet those are everywhere, and cheap, too!
The Rivoltas are excellent guitars. Great style and smooth playability. I have been playing a Rivolta Combinata for a few years and couldn't be more satisfied with it. It's a good price point for the quality and tones.
way out of my price range, but that black and cream (the double binding and fretboard inlays) combination is elegant. with that, the gold accents look terrific. for me, probably the best looking guitar you've shown
I watch your channel because I love listening to people who can play well and you obviously do so. I can’t play guitar at all but love watching and listening to people that do so well. Your knowledge of these guitars is fantastic and I’m sure your input has helped direct people to a good choice of guitar or possibly amp or other guitar related equipment.👍👍🇨🇦
Beautiful guitar! I have several guitars made in S. Korea and the fit and finish is impeccable. Thanks for the excellent video as always, I may check this one out!
Interesting guitar. Although the craziest semi Hollow guitar is still the Ben Weinman ESP LTD signature guitar. Semi hollow with evertune, EMG on older model and Fishman on newer model. Sadly the built in wireless didnt make to production
Awesome one of the better guitars you've reviewed, like seeing reviews even though I have to rarely buy ($ related). . . at least I could say youtube taught me how to review an axe. I was so pumped, even though not a fan of the whole fret inlay thing, but the price was not in harley benton range. Sticker shock, but dang its on my list, cuz I heart ES series and like the 24 fret thing . . . if the novo dudes set it up . yeah
I have the PRS SE Hollowbody II PIEZO, just like on the wall behind you. I can’t see anything from Asia beating that in construction or versatility. Plus, I really like birds better than blocks. Just my preference
I like the straight string pull at the headstock. But a PRS style would have reduced the string length beyond the nut which reduces the amount of string that slides over the nut during a bend. I also prefer wider spaced tuning keys with the Grover style kidney shaped knobs. I like the improved access to the higher frets. 24 frets isn't that big of a deal. I would have preferred dot inlays on the neck. I prefer something a little more understated. I would have been really impressed if the body was all mahogany. But it appears to be a guitar to seriously consider buying.
DB brother, this is not fare, you always feel us jalaous and frusted, from where u bring these beauties freequently, lot of hard work, I can't afford and also not available in my country, so atleast can see by your eyes , keep continue with more guitars
Alright man, with the new Ibenez AZ ES budget models out, we need a build series on them! I would love to see what you can do on upgrades! As always, love your vids Darrell!!
$1,500.00 US isn't all that bad of a price, either. Not an inexpensive guitar by any means, but a new 335 will set you back a lot more. Out of my range though, so I'll just continue to be happy with the 2 guitars I have. In truth, even if I could afford it, I'd still be happy with the guitars I have.
I have a different model but it's one of the best guitars I've ever owned. Rivolta has such a cool and unique style and they play like a dream. Can't beat them tor the money.
Speaking of unconventional semi hollow bodies, have you had a chance to check out the D'Angelico Bedford SH yet? I've the Premier model in Oxblood Red and it's a beauty.
I couldn't even find any lint to pick. It also comes in sunburst, red stain or natural. The body's on a semi have a ridiculous amount of skilled assembly. There are no shortcuts, and it is very time consuming. For $1500.00 USD you get your moneys worth.
Hi Darell , canadian autum got to be awesome Here in Mallorca hearing beatificacion from católic martirs by the radio and watching that tool fantastic. I bet it fit on my hands like a glove.gloria aDIOS hermano 💀🇪🇸💀
