Bro i was thinking of the gk61 and then found out that the rk61 is better for what it offers and it is 50 so hkgaming needs yo work on an ergo keycap puller which would make the keeb worth it but thanks for the review im going for the rk61 now
I have been researching about 60% keyboards (this keyboard in particular) in the past few months maybe even a year now, i'd say rk61 is the best and it fits all of my preferences.i just ordered it a while ago, expecting it to arrive this Christmas or later.
There's so many iterations of RK61 that I don't even know what I have. I have single color LED, and 3-way connectivity (Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless USB, and USB-C), w/ red RK Switches. USB port in the middle, box came with a combo wire keycap puller on one end + switch puller on the other end.
Hello! Thanks for the awesome review. I'm considering upgrading to this version from the non-hotswap one. I'm really interested because of the 2.4ghz dongle. Just want to know if you can open the software using that connection or if it still has to be through the USB-C cable. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊 Your pc should recognize the keyboard as a keyboard and the program will work just fine over 2.4!! Let me know if you do end up upgrading!
@@Nickyo thank you for answering :) Though, I also found out that there's also a new RK68 version released at around the same time (aka RK837). I'm now leaning more towards getting that instead because I want to try the built-in macro keys.
They are really different keyboards! If you want a tkl thats sturdy, feels nice and has amazing rgb get the HyperX. If you want a more compact, subtle and hot swappable keyboard, the Rk61!
On some other unboxing videos for this kb that i saw it came with a plastic keycap puller not wired and it also didnt come with a switch puller or extra switches either
I've had the keyboard since Prime day (got it for $40) and have been really enjoying it. It's my first mechanical and for the price I think it's super good. Also anyone happen to know the latency difference between 2.4g and wired?
I have the RK68/G68/837 now, is it good to get this for a 60% or maybe the Anne Pro? IDK. Haha if anyone knows something other than those, would really help me out.
Well they’re at different price points. I’ve used both of them and personally I prefer the RK61, Anne pro has more switch options though. It depends if you want to spend 50 or 100$
Probably not but I’d recommend Amazon and checking release date. The link for the exact one is in description. If you’re buying from somewhere else, check and see if in the description it either says hotswap or that it includes the switch puller/extra switches
Hmm thats a difficult one. Royal Kludge has a budget tkl but honestly id save up a bit and id get a GMMK which is probably the best mass produced tkl right now
@@Nickyo I just bought it today lol, it cost 224 colombian pesos, but i got a 50% cupon for free, so i only spent 114, and i already have a pc, monitor, keyboard, and mouse so that was the last thing i needed.
Delete the programs you have, redownload the correct one from the alternative link - drive. Theres a few options for what model you have. If that still doesnt work let me know ill try to figure it out!
5 pins I think and if you just buy it off any amazon or Banggood link it is hot swap they have just updated the keyboard to be hot swappable and move the plug in port to the left instead of being the middle
