Rlarrlo AK-917 First look and drive. Worth the hype? 

RLAARLO is developing an ESC that supports 6s. Regarding linear acceleration and track operation, RLAARLO is developing an intelligent driving assistance system that is expected to be launched before the end of April. The fact that the presentation of this RC is so finely polished says tons of the company. There seems to be pride in the design. So bravo to the people involved in bringing this to market in such style. BTW Underarmor is the new Newbalance.

You Guys scored !! ... My Buddy & I each just ordered the carbon RTR's,, which are way past the next level & have pretty much everything,, plus a really cool zipper padded case ! The Porsche 917K, has always been my all time fav. race car,, & have dreamed a long time of having a 10th scale ''top shelf'' R/C one.. Think my dream came true the other day when I discovered these,, & then some !! Have been into R/C since the mid 70'S, & think it's cool to have 2 older Guys do the review on this version,, plus you know what a Porsche 917K actually is ! 😎👍. . Ian

$299 pre sale for the carbon RTR. $179 for the carbon fiber roller. $129(?) for the metal chassis roller. Prices for the carbon RTR go up to $500

There is a version of this that comes with a carbon fiber chassis. They do have a contest going right now where you could win $20k if you have the fastest recorded speed. Maybe you could put some upgrades in it and see how well you do? Also, would he nice to see you do a full tare down of the vehicle to see if it's set up properly.

First off, great video as always!! I personally would like to see you push the limits of the stock hardware. Show us what we are paying for. Then modify.......... a lot....... like as in 100mph plus!

Cool first look at this awesome new car. I might be get one or two of them in the next couple of months if i do i'll get one carbon brushless edition RTR or Roller and 1 Brushed RTR or metal chassis roller and sell my 4-tec 2.0 ford gt. Or keep my 4-tec 2.0 and just get one AK917 Carbon brushless RTR. Thanks again for the cool video and i hope to see a running video of your car soon.

I bought into the hype. I have two on the way that I actually paid for 😂 so far in all the videos of the presale chosen have shown, it quite impressive. I feel that Rlaarlo has been paying attention to the RC community and has been doing their best to deliver a vehicle that will impress. Honestly it looks extremely similar to many of the builds people have made out of the 124019, including my own. Yet they have made many improvements over other companies offerings.

Thanks to your wonderful hi res close ups, I have seen the massive rlaarlo on the sides that mess with my ocd so bad are stickers.This has made grrfy very happy.

Other videos shown that car comes with a clear plastic bottom protector..most definitely worth installing unless you drive on a perfectly smooth location ..

Dude like i will say, they did it right on this car, litterly i think that this is one of the coolest rc cars, ive ever seen, like is it just me thinking, oh yeah im getting this, have to get one of these, i bet we are all thinking the same thing, that full carbon though, 100 bucks more but its so dope, the quality looks so good! Keep putting out cars, next they should MAKE A 1/7 SCALE ARMA LIMITLESS type car, like a Lemans car, with a dope Aston Martin Valkrye type body or Lamborghini Sto Widebody Race car body or something 👍 id even like an old C class vintage body, like the old-school porshe body, like i think thats such a dope idea that they chose that bc that Porsche vintage body is honestly so sexy 👌 😉

I just caught a front wheel wobble, and it looks like the OEM plastic hub isn't holding the bearing tight anymore. I must have hit a rock, on day 2 of my brand new 917 RLAARLO breaking in period ! Now I've had to order the CNC Aluminum hubs $21, and new bearings $10, and shims to fix it. I was hoping to see a tutorial, but it's easy enough I guess.

I'd like to see you put the speed gearing in and runit on 3s

seems like a very capable rig to me and it comes with a battery. The price is more than ok too, for this kind of quality.

This company is steeping up their game fr. If they make a 10th scale bashing truck, they will crush it. Their making so many great moves in the industry. So, hopefully, a bashing truck is next. For the prices they charge can not beat it.

Radios are made by dumbo, they’ll run on 2,3,&4 s , comes with 3 gearing options. Rlaarlo really nails it with this one

It would be killer if you could get a clear body option. But for the price, that's a winner!

The thing on this Rc that doesn't sit well with me is that they tell you a claimed speed, but you then need to buy a new motor and esc to actually reach that speed.

I don't know man that being engraved was 1 hell of a nice touch. I'd buy a 2nd chassis and save that 1 lmao. Love your review though. Completely honest and good info. I'm not usually 1 for cheaper cars but that deff looks pretty sweet for the price. Durability and parts availability are my thing. I know nothing about trying to get parts for that brand but I assume in this day its prob just a click away

These guys have dropped the ball hard for me.. they were pretty late on the deliveries which I was ok with, but they messed up my order to the point I can't build/run the car and they are ignoring 5 emails now over the last 10 days reporting the incorrect items with photo evidence.. I've given them an ultimatum of 2 days to respond then I'm requesting a refund on ALL orders relating to the 917.. very poor end to this whole thing. Live and learn. Bad company, won't be doing this again.
