the ultimate US 1 set up or close. think of the addition of the late chase police 'chip' they had in addition of this set up, you could either race or deliver. which was the main flaw of this design. you could ONLY deliver... not race. the chip allowed to go reverse as well, any direction. the police race track was cool as heck. with shoulder bands to allow drift and reverse, it was a blast! good show!

this would be more fun than slot cars .

Hi nualpha94! Thanks! The trailers are TYCO "el cheapo" Union Pacific piggyback trailer bodies using shortened US-1 trailer frames. The loader uses a US-1 auto loader track fitted to modified overhead loader. The buildings were cut down to fit the terminals. All parts were modified using a razor saw or Xacto blades.

Hi yawotton- NCVA is a real line in North Carolina, part of the Rail America system.

Amazing thing is that Athearn SD45 running on the 18 inch curves without the front truck derailing. Every SD45 I have does not stay on the rails after leaving the 18 inch curves.

I wish I can find some thing like this to buy.

Great intermodal! How did you convert the trailers to doubles and the piggy back car to accommodate the slot trailers? What tools are used to make the modifications to the trailers and buildings? Excellent work!

where did you get the crossing? i want to put my slot car track on my train set and cant find the crossing section
