Very intimidating track at first, got the hang of most of it... at one point I tried to set up for 12 a little farther left than usual, got on the curbing coming down the hill, and started to slide slightly.. saved it, and decided to never try that again.. haha

I drove RA one time and I have to say that the track intimidated me to the point that I never really got the hang of it. I'll try again (one day), but until then I have mad respect for ANYONE that can drive it at 10/10ths.

Fast tracking at Road Atlanta was back during the early 70s with the likes of Mark Donahue driving the Sunoco Porsche 917/30 at 200+ down the back straight and barely lifting through the esses.

It has been a few years since I ran open track events at Road Atlanta with my C5R-427, but I really enjoyed the track. I did see a few accidents, but only one where the car was not drivable. I am on the list for a C8 Z06 and looking forward to getting back to Road Atlanta!

RA is the first track that has scared me, took about 3 sessions to lose the fear. Best way I can describe the track is your own personal roller coaster. All the elevation left me a bit nauseous actually.

If you think this version is risky you guys should have been around to drive the original layout. The bridge was a turn!

You were maybe going about 100 mph at 12, and I don't think many armatures have the balls to go through going 120. I think you misspoke. I've only been there once and going again this spring. The first time I hit turn 12 I was over to far left and went into the pits lol. I played it off like I was checking something on my car. It's intimidating, but fun after a few laps.

I hated coming up that hill before 12. Always feared blindly coming over that crest.
