Recap of my cleaning business' progress in August 2024. Not the best revenue month but recurring revenue stayed pretty steady and we are making progress on the commercial side of the business.
I believe commercial cleaning contracts is what will bring us up to the $50k/month mark plus it'll be much easier to maintain at that scale compared to residential.
Not having subcontractors ready is holding me back so my main focus is to recruit as many quality people as possible. Right now, this is kind of a mix between a remote cleaning business and traditional where we do some of the cleans. Subcontractors are priority number 1 for me now.
Not gonna let this low month bring me down - just have to stay steady!

wow I just realized you're in my market after watching a few of your videos. My family has owned an airbnb in Hollywood florida for a few years now and I just moved to Hollywood from Chicago. I originally wanted to create an airbnb management company but after doing more research the process of running a cleaning company seems very straight forward and dropservice is already something I have experience in. Exactly! When you look on the bright side, it’s easy to see how all of this is a blessing. It’s great that you lost so much help before you take on bigger commercial deals and potentially lose out on a big client(s). Are you going to have all those ten cleaners do test cleans ahead of time and then keep them on call? I’m curious because I’d be toast if I had to go clean. lol

Great point! I didn’t think of it like that haha Never know how things turn out good or bad. For commercial cleaning, I’m just gonna send them to the job, do a walkthrough first so they know what to do, then check their work after the cleaning. For residential I do a test clean first or have them go with one of us to clean

@@toastybrown yeah, we are always being helped along our path if we look for the lesson. It makes sense that you do it that way for commercial because it’s tougher for them to take your client. I’m really curious if you let cleaners know it’s a test clean because I think they may act differently if they know they’re being tested.

They will act different if you tell them lol so now I just say we start off usually with a “small clean” and that’s seems to work out well

This is very interesting, never thought about drop services. I recentley got into the cleaning business but I want to go the w2 route, I want to learn the systems and what its like to hire/payrollw etc. Im going to tap in on your channel often, this is very valuable information and it motivates me for sure seeing your journey.
