The Road to El Dorado Shrek Shrek 2 Madagascar Over The Hedge Bee Movie Kung Fu Panda Madagascar Escape 2 Africa Monsters Vs. Aliens Shrek Forever After Megamind Puss in Boots (even when only 1) Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted (even if only one) Penguins of Madagascar Trolls (yes, it has a meme or 2 back-to-back) Captain Underpants Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
The environment and worldbuilding in this film is so underrated. I just rewatched this after about 8 years and it looks so fuckin good. It oozes with character and feels like you're stepping into a world that has customs and happenings that exist without the main characters.
Can’t watch Walking with Dinosaurs anymore without picturing Miguel reading the line "Imagine you could travel back in time…to a time long before man." I just imagine him with glasses reading the script until that first t-Rex roar, making him scream like a little girl…and that makes me smile.🤪
ive just rewatched this in netflix, and realized how this movie is such a hoot to watch. it didnt stick to me when i was a kid except that armadillo hoop thing, but now that im an adult, i highly appreciates everything about this movie. especially the humor 😆
To summarize 2022 at 1:10 Gold = All the good stuff that'll come in 2022 (Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass, Sonic Frontiers and Seven Deadly Sins Origins) Painful, agonizing failure = Dragon Ball Super: Gohan's Wasted Plotential
my college roomie and i started an annual tradition of watching this movie together. it's been almost 10 years since graduation, but we still get together once a year (in person or via FaceTime) to watch this.
Ok 2 things: 1. Judging by the animation, its looks like a Disney animation rather than DreamWorks not gonna lie 2. This movie may have flopped but damn it gave us the memes😎
I’m sorry but the whole scene where they’re explaining why they need a boat to the chief is hilarious & lives in my head rent free: Miguel: Um, we really hate to be ascending so soon, but, uh, some urgent business has come up, you know, family matters, you know, and it's just a bit... [Tulio: Yeah, family.] Badda-bing, budda-boom, you know what I mean. Chief: Oh, we expected you to be staying with us for the next thousand years. Tulio: Well, as we say in the spirit world, there's your plan and then, there's the gods' plan. And our plan, uh, calls for a boat, 'cause we're gonna ascend kind of in a horizontal pattern at first. And then we're gonna go vertical, uh, as we get further out to sea. ME: 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
We could’ve gotten more stuff like this, but we all just wanted more Shrek, don’t get me wrong, Shrek 2 & Shrek forever after were some great additions to the franchise, but what if studios made more adventure movies like this, but this time actually market them so that they don’t bomb 100% of the time
I remember when I was a kid, my parents would get us 1 gift we all had to open together and enjoy. Sometimes it was magical things like SNES, PS2, new tv etc. One year we go to open this tiny little rectangle and my 3 older sisters swore up and down it was Mystery, Alaska cause that was their fav movie all year and would watch it constantly off TiVo. Lo and behold we open it and it’s this movie. They were PISSED and very vocal for their displeasure for this movie. To this day and I think only 1 of them bothered to watch it. Tell you what since I was indifferent to Mystery Alaska I put this on that day and LOVED it. All the songs, colors, plot lines and dumb humor. Still one of my favorite movies to this day. I thank my parents for trying to do us a favor with this movie cause everybody I know who watched it loves it. Def a great gift in hindsight and still one I’ll put on even for my kids when it pops up on any of the streaming services we have
0:06 Apparently I read somewhere that in the original script, Tulio screams “I want my mommy!” but it got cut. I don’t know if this is true or not because I can’t find the original script.
1:33 Me when I see wormy close up from SpongeBob. Tulio and Miguel screaming like girls never gets old!!! LoL!!! 🤣 unfortunately the road to El Dorado was a failure at the box office. People prefer chicken run in 2000. I like both the road to El Dorado and chicken run in my opinion.
