Some more road trains filmed in the hills between Mt Isa, and Cloncurry, in nth western Queensland. Trucks shown include Kenworth, Mack, Western Star, Freightliner, and Volvo. All views are between Mt Isa & Cloncurry except for the final three, which are around WInton at sunset.

I remember comming around that curv heading in to MtIsa following a 4 trailer semi when it started raining. Although the last trailer was only 50m in front of me when the rain cloud moved over and we were traveling at 100kmh for 10 minutes I could not see the trailer in front of me because of the torential rain fall, it was 40 degrees C and we had all the windows open in the 4 wheel drive cruser and the rain felt great.

been in Mount Isa twice, drove all the way from Cairns to Townsville then to Charters towers, Julia Creek, Hughenden, Cloncurry, all the way to Isa.

Ahh, Home Sweet Home! (Mt Isa). Been living in Sydney for the last 4 years and loading trucks, with general freight for the last 18mnths, and really miss seeing 50m long trains. Not to mention seeing something other than Volvo and Scania cabovers. Road Trains: Keeping Australia Moving!

What was the problem with the RTA C509 and Titan??? They're going surprisingly slow compared to the other road trains. Another excellent video Steve, you filmed a lot of beautiful monsters for us. :)

No problems, just bogging down going up the hill, it's a fairly long steady climb. I had missed a Shaws Kenworth going up as I arrived, I think he was going even slower than the two RTA's were.

Looks like the Mary K jump up. With 6 decks on I'd be well into the bottom box with the CAT screen showing 150 metres to the litre.

The colleagues in Australia are allowed to drive 100 KM / h with their maximum 54 meter long road trains. Everyone who wants to discuss the whole thing as a car driver first does not need to think long about what he says. His "famous last words" can be found in one of the abundant tires. So do not try to get such a driver stupid. You will not be the one who talks to him when it bangs. Your knowledge is that make such trucks and their tours only possible without accidents.
