I don't really understand the car driver's problem. There's a red light - how much difference does it make if a motorcycle gets in front of you at the lights and shoots off before you do? Why are you even bothering to get into it - when it's not going to avail you anything. It doesn't change your day at all. The rider is being a bit "optimistic" with his riding, though. Filtering is great, but passing the leading car and cutting in like that is going to cause a certain kind of person to get on their hind legs at you. Those two observations have nothing to do with one another, incidentally. Getting into a verbal altercation is pointless. You're not going to "win" anything. Just ignore it. Literally if someone shouts at you, don't make eye contact and don't answer back - just act like you didn't hear them.
He was in the right turn lane and wanted to go fast to get ahead of traffic in the correct lane going straight. He didn't want a bike potentially stopping him from doing that. Thing is I wasn't even gonna stop in front of him but the car to his left like the bike that was in front of me lol. I was just going around him. And I agree my riding was bad but I had a lot of adrenaline after that argument with them
I was mostly pissed cos my bike was literally a month old and this idiot drove into it. That's why I started shouting at him. Fortunately there was no damage.
@@singleservingjack4547 no I was gonna go around the car and end up at the front of the lane to the left. That's where the bike I was following ended up too
I've been riding since I was 16, motorcycle courier for two years and cycle courier for 1. Now in my 40s and still riding bikes I have to say you shouldn't be on the road. Riding a bike across the chevrons and riding at such speed is very dangerous. If a child had stepped out..bam DEAD. Do us all a favour and check your ego before putting on your helmet.
The guy in the back folded like a lunchbox. Started spraying water with the cap on. He must look I right twat to all his mates who have watched this. Cracked me up though that line. Your sat in the back you havnt even got a car. Brilliant
@@paulnolan6866: Being in the chevrons can be excused because they have a broken border, the crossing of the stop line can't though (at the start, where the car beef happened and the other biker did too).
As a rule, if I’m filtering and there’s no gap in front of the first car before the stop line or no reasonable gap between the cars I will not filter, or stop just behind the lead car. In any case, a gap to pass through will often open up once everyone’s on the move again. Some of that riding made me wince a little, take it easy out there!
Agreed, don't agree with crossing stop lines (including additional stop lines, those areas are for pedal bikes!) though the car guys were pricks for no reason. That said if the biker waited a bit he'd have been through, more could be said but that's another matter lol
As a biker, I have to say that I have just witnessed some of the worst riding I've ever seen. How you have not been clipped and killed I will never know.
No excuse for the car driver that nudged you but you might wish examine your own road skills… Many undertakes, contravening hashed white lines and entering a right turn only lane when you don’t intent to turn. I’ve been a biker for more than 40 years and you are a classic example of why all bikers are tarred with a bad name.
You can’t “contravene” a hashed white line. The only lines that a rider is not usually allowed to cross is a solid white line. It’s also acceptable to a turning lane if you don’t intent to turn unless it’s a filter lane.
@@GregTMann 'If the area is bordered by a broken white line, you should not enter the area unless it is necessary and you can see that it is safe to do so.' my instructor for my bike license recommended using that area to filter as it is the safest place for a biker to do so.
@@TheFlyingClutchman your driving was absolutely shocking after the incident. Your instructor didn't do a very good job. I love you didn't address one undertake either
@@robbiem1961 If, however, it is bordered by a broken white line then you can enter it to overtake if you have to, but it is generally understood that you shouldn’t use it.
@@StephenSwindells "generally" is not in the highway code; if the line is broken, you CAN enter: the hatched area is a representation, a "ghost island" The lads in the car were bolshie because the motorcyclist can filter, and they're stuck; methinks they were having a tantrum: I know, I ride motorcycles
I watched enough. This guy on the bike seems to want to break every rule in the highway code. Speeding excelerating too fast Not allowing enough room for cycles Overtaking on hatched lines Not giving way to other road users NEED I GO ON??!
That's what happens when your adrenaline is spiked by altercations like this. I am not justifying bad riding I'm just giving an insight into what can contribute to it. If those guys hadn't have driven into him on purpose, threatening him with a 2 tonne weapon and then gotten aggressive on top of it he'd not have those chemicals coursing through his veins nor his nervous system triggered into fight or flight. They were bullies and just disgusting. I come across them far too much sadly. People endanger your life and property and don't give a damn.
Do you even know the Highway Code? Sounds like you have no idea. There wasn’t one situation in the video where he had to give way to anyone. He can overtake on broken white lines and he was nowhere near the left side of the road you plonker
@Zach well, Zach the PLONKER!! Slowing down for a speed camera then speeding up again. Overtaking on hatched lines and almost hit a predestination island, that's what the hatched lines are for, PLONKER! Maybe you need to retake your test!!
So in the UK you can just ride your bike where-ever you want and none of the road markings/lines mean anything? You're gonna be under a truck one of these days the way you zip around...
Other than crossing the stop line (where the argument with the car took place) and the speed in which he was moving, most of the moves he made were technically not illegal. Interestingly enough, he didn't do one of the most common sins of motorbikes: overtaking at pedestrian crossings! Of course, just because you're not prevented from doing something, doesn't mean you should do it!
I totally agree with you He should have got off Bike & asked them to step out the Car Given them first go then teach them some manners Should've take him about 2.minutes to sort out the 3 Little Sheep
@@johnspencer1236 bahahahaha glad I interrupted your sleep! :D You definitley dont ride motorbikes in a big city, probably dont even ride motorbikes at all so dont even know why your here
Message to the biker dude. Just be careful mate and value your life. You might be the best biker in the world but you don’t know what the other road users are like. Tragedies happen. Ride safe
This happened on the Juntion of Dock Street, Vaughan way and the A1203. East London UK. You riding is dreadful at best. You passed the stop line when the light was red = red light jump 3 points on your licence. You went straight ahead in the right turn only lane. At 2:31 your average speed was 54Mph in a 30MPH limit, that's almost double the speed limit. The hazard warning lines that divide the driving lanes at 2:29 are 4 Meters in length with a 2 meter gap between each one, that is the standard format for hazard warning lines in the UK, you passed 12 of those lines and 11 gaps between the lines in 2.88 Seconds thats 70 meters in 2.88 seconds = 54MPH The guys in the car are idiots but you don't help yourself by riding like an idiot.
Pacman Seven whole bike didn't cross so it's not a rlj. I wasn't planning to but the car didn't let me go over to the left lane. He also went straight on from that lane. Also how can you tell my average speed from a wide angle video you must have super powers? It's legal to temporarily pass the limit in order to overtake check the highway code.
The Flying Clutchman please show me where it says that it is ok to temporarily pass the speed limit when overtaking? What section is that because I think you are misinformed.
The biker seems unreasonably proud of his riding performance. If that is the standard that gets you a full and unrestricted bike licence - the UK licensing authorities have gone backwards.
Hi I have just read up on this and apparently there is no law against overtaking on the inside although the highway code does discourage it! I stand by my opinion the guy on the bike was driving dangerously though, and also can't wait to see the police officer who pulled me over for this a while ago and tell him he's wrong! Apologies. :)
The Flying Clutchman You are all over the road, squeezing through tiny gaps, under taking vehicles, speeding to over take more vehicles and at 1:12 you verbally abuse the people in the car which can be seen by the police as a credible threat of violence in which you could get charged for. You are the danger here and to be honest shouldn't be allowed to drive.
I will admit he's driving slightly bad but there was no gap that was too tight, I didn't see a single undertake and the threat could be argued as self defense.
@@MohammedAli-lu6ry Only allowed to filter when other traffic is stationary? What law is that? Also it’s quite legal to enter a turning lane and go straight on unless it’s a dedicated filter lane.
Dan anonymous he did it as a threat that he's lucky it wasn't acid. it's what these pussies do nowadays. they carry little bottles of acid on them and chuck it in peoples faces
Loool people on RU-vid r the funniest they saw the camera on his helmet I bet if he got out and smashed the guy off his bike you'd still talk shit and if you was there wouldn't say nish
What i take from this is a motorcyclist with a death wish, i was cringing at the tiny gaps he went through, you also don't know what other people are going to do, they may not see you until it's too late, stay safe!
No, he pretended it was a gun and they laughed at how he flinched. Yes, they are twats but you hardly think they would be foolish enough to incriminate themselves when they clearly observed they were being recorded now? Let me serve a warning to all here, when involved with such a situation, be the bigger person and take control by walking away, not antagonising them instead. You never know who these people are or what lengths they are willing to go to for 'disrespect'. I remember a headline years ago about some guy getting stabbed to death because he spoke back at some youths that threw a bar of chocolate at his car. Can you imagine? Dead over chocolate.
Dan Bate I deal with these sorts all the time in my line of work. Their ways catch up to them eventually so I wouldn't worry about that. 80 deaths from stabbings last year in London alone, don't become a statistic.
So, riding obviously over the speed limits (going by how much you slowed down to go through speed cameras), how quickly you were filtering through traffic in which cars and other vehicles were changing lanes, and tearing up the middle of a road riding 200yds or so right through a chevron'd section of road put there to seperate traffic..... and you think you have the right to criticise other road users???
@@leightonboreham8623 nope not the case, it’s very scary to think your gonna hurt someone when driving, we should all follow the rules when driving and motorcyclist should not be filtering through traffic it’s all for their safety! Cars don’t so why any other vehicle, if you drive then you’ll understand lol.
As much as you were originally in the right, you now have footage of yourself being the only person to actually make a threat of physical violence during this exchange. Well done genius 👏
" Do you even have a car bruv ? you sat in the back seat " LMFAO the guys face and i loved how the other motorcyclist shot off at the lights wanted to get away as far as possible haha
Hahaha haha haha! I love the whole total anti biker response things that go on RU-vid and what not. All bikers are twats! ( my wife won’t let me have one) I’d kill myself on one of those ( my wife won’t let me have one and I’m an incompetent dick who can’t control my own actions) Dangerous idiots! ( My wife won’t let me have one but I wish my balls were that big) Makes this hairy old biker chuckle! Sorry dudes, you do not know what you are missing, and never will, unless you grow some.
To be honest all I saw here was dangerous driving by the motorcyclist, keep driving like that one day you will end up under a bus or lorry and believe me I once saw it and the shit is totally unreal, skinned to the bone
Being afraid of having liquid thrown over you in London isn't about being scared of getting wet. Per capita London has one of the highest acid attack rates in the World. He was attempting to intimidate the motorcyclist by pretending to carry out an acid attack.
MagicalFlash precisely, and the fact that there was like 6 bikers behind them, and i was geared up lol what did they think would happen? My only regret is that I didn't take his mirror off as I overtook him tbh
nar man next time you get a bunch of pretend gangsters like that lob a lit road flare into their car and watch them panic and drive off it will make a great video
Well play to him for knowingly having a camera trying to get brave to people? Lol goes to show what you lot are you bunch of idiots probably run straight to the police at the first sign of trouble lol you lot are the real wankers.
I think it really hurt his confidence when you called his car shit. And then "do you even have a car bruv, you're sitting in the back seat?" LOL. Man this is great.
I mean....the guy gets pissed off with the car and then eats all the road lines till the next traffic light....welcome to the jungle. Btw im a biker too.
"Yes - I accept that I should have stayed behind him." Great. When he asked why, you said "because I can". Just because you *can* do it doesn't mean you *may* do it vis-à-vis traffic law. Driving between cars is something you can do, but it is also something you may not do. Stick to a lane and pass responsibly. IMHO - which counts for nothing - you were both jerks.
@@danriches219 Yes, I ride a bike and yes there is nothing wrong with filtering BUT there are rules of the road that do govern filtering - it is not a free for all. 1) The highway code clearly makes specific provisions for both motorcyclists and cyclists to filter. 2) There is, however, no explicit mention of entitlement to filter, and no expectation should be made of other road users to allow you to filter. According to rule 191 of the Highway code: "You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians." Please see: www.gov.uk/guidance/the-highway-code/using-the-road-159-to-203 The jerk in the video broke this rule. I repeat my comment: "IMHO - which counts for nothing" - they were both jerks with respect to attitude and mutual respect.
The bikers are in the wrong, they went in front of the ford and went over the white line where pedestrians cross, he was also weaving in and out of traffic.
For those jealous immature car drivers out there, this procedure is called 'filtering'...it is 100% LEGAL!!! It is both taught in the run up to and (should a traffic jam arise) also included in today's full motorcycle riding test. We do not do this to frustrate you...it should always be carried out safely with respect shown towards you the car driver. It is actually designed to reduce the build up of traffic...not to piss you off. Imagine if every single biker had to by law, wait in line like the car drivers each busy London (or any rush hour) morning. Your traffic jam experience would be multiplied dramatically. Please understand that us bikers would not be doing it (or getting away with it for long!) if it wasn't legal. We love our bike licences more than our wives! 😉
