I can't believe that you drilled holes on top of a leather dash. Check out proclip company and you will see what i mean for a better way to mount a monitor instead of damaging a new new dash. I work for Chrysler as a mechanic and they won't warranty the dash if you already butchered it. And another thing , build a cover for the generator that locks because it looks easy to steal. I still think it a great looking truck though.
Do you have to buy a 4 door truck an center size chassis? I thinking about starting this but put a retired friend doing it... I guess what I am asking what's the best set up in truck to buy motor ,gears an chassis.....thank you.
Roger, I'd suggest contacting Cooper Motor Company. They handle a great deal of trucks that we convert. You can reach them at 888-296-1180. Tell them we sent you!
Hello! My name is Bauyrzhan! I'm from Kazakhstan;). How much(with tax and another thinks for another country) pricely model like this + with more biggest gallon dizel tank??? (sorry for my broken english) In video Biuld 5
Scott Meyer we haven’t had any of the new model Chevy 5500s in yet, but we’re also pretty booked up so it might take a while but I’m sure we’ll see them soon.
It looks like there 1st project, trial and lots of error. 25 or 30 more might start looking ok, definitely not worth $135,000. That's just crazy. Don't see it.
@@dianemcintire9312 Uh, I’ve got a 2021 Ram 4500 6.7 with Aisin transmission and while I am eagerly awaiting either the 8 speed ZF upgrade or similar they still have the 6 speed as of now.
The 2021 Ram Laramie costs 60k to 70k depending on the options you choose. Roadmaster Sleeper costs 10k to 20k, depending upon the options you choose and if you "don't" need to stretch the chassis. Roadmaster Sleeper will cost 20k to 30k, depending upon the options you choose and if you "do" need to stretch the chassis. If you're hauling rv trailers on a 5th wheel, you'll probably need to have the chassis stretched (lengthened) otherwise the overhang from the rv on the 5th wheel, might hit the sleeper and cause damage to both the rv and sleeper.
If your truck and trailer are GCVWR over 26,001and the trailer is GVWR over 10,000, you need a class A. If your vehicle is GVWR over 26,001 and the trailer is GVWR less than 10,000, you need a class B. Either one, you can take the test in that truck and trailer. You don't need to go to school.
DeAndre, our base model cab starts at $9,900.00. For pricing on a custom build such as this one, please give us a call! Our contact information is listed at roadmastertruck.com. Thank you!
@@NYVET48TFW We convert whatever model truck you bring to the table. The majority of trucks we do these cabs on are Dodge, however we do plenty of Fords and the occasional Chevy.
@@NYVET48TFW Please see my previous post regarding pricing. We don't post exact prices of custom built trucks online, but we'd be happy to discuss the details with you via phone call.
Our base cab starts at $9900. Custom additions will increase the price. We don't post exact prices of custom rigs such as this one, out of respect for the owner of the rig. We're more than willing to discuss exact price details via phone call.
@@curtekstrom6600 This isnt a 3500. this is the 5500 model. Base is 67,000. Its priced differently actually in the range if the LoneStar models of the 3500 Rams. Also, ram is cheaper by a few grand then ford or chevy. This is a larmie model so it has more comfort and thats in the $74,000 range. Then the sleeper and what ever options. Its hitting 90k when done. Easier to just dropnthe extra 30 and get a new semi
News that matter Yes, that is an option. Customers generally remove them for more space and access, but we have done conversions that have left the rear bench seat in place.
Our base cab starts at $9900. Total vehicle cost depends on what you bring to be converted. We'd be happy to discuss exact pricing over the phone. It's our policy to not post exact prices of these custom trucks, out of respect for their owners.
Brandon Caldwell For the whole vehicle, I don’t need to be able to afford the whole vehicle though, just the conversion which as they stated starts at $9900. Which is not a huge amount.
I doubt with that Peterbilt you will have 50% less Operating Expenses. Hauling $4.25 a Mile Freight. My Fleet of 14 4500 Rams running circles around Class 8 trucks. I have had the same Contracts since 1990.
@@truckr74 All 14 are Ram 4500 Crew Cab with Sleeper. Cummins "Tuned" Powered. And all with Manual Transmissions. My 2014's are surpassing the 450,000 miles.
Curt Ekstrom the ram is a nice truck but my 87 Mack superliner gets the same mileage as my 17 ram 5500 and my ram had to go back to the dealer for warranty work at 1,500 miles when the check engine light came on. The aisin 6 speed auto is nice but I wish I had a manual
moblack it’s because no one actually cares. It’s the same truck no matter what. Sometimes you hear people say “dodge diesel” even if it has a cummins but as long as you’re not a nazi you won’t take the time to “b-b-but it’s a cummins”
Yeah and spend an ass load more money, and why the hell would a toy holler need to pull 80,000 pounds ? First off you can’t tow 80,000 pounds, you can only be 80,000 gross. Man what the, never mind
@@richardw9057 Tow / Haul Both have something to do with towing, but what's the difference between the two? The answer is actually found in your trailer hitch. ... The vehicle's towing weight, also known as its weight distributing towing capacity, is the total amount of weight the vehicle can tow using a weight-distribution towing hitch. Gee I wonder. - nevermind... Why - it's simple.... A class 8 could be used to pay for itself any place.. to use a Heavy Lite Truck is very limited in cargo. You don't need a CDL to drive a truck like this. A lot of companies would rather do this than buy full size rigs as they don't need the towing capacity. I see a lot of these conversions done on trucks around my town, a lot of them are used for vehicle transport with tri-axle car carriers
Pretty useless. All that extra weight has to come off somewhere. And if you're hot shotting, highway patrol is all over your ass about gcvwr in EVERY STATE. The heavier the truck, the less you can carry (as far as these pickups anyway).
At 1:08 notice the cheap wood used for that trap door almost looks wet and some kind of fungus growing and the fabric how it's not even intact fully. I hope the price Isnt a 5k over for how simple this add on is. Would flow much better with better materials. It's like having a new truck but with early 2000s engineering inside the addon sleeper.
