Yep. The wallaby had actually run into the side of the filming car. Where you see it here was when it had picked itself up.

Never sell the old one before buying the new one! Or at least buy the new one as soon as you sell the old one :)

Hope my day will come ! Here in Brasil things are starting to get better. I really value all kinds of freedom and THIS VIDEO is just an amazing example of it! Freedom for the rider, for the bike and for the nature. ALSO 4 minutes of freedom for the viewer!

Roads We Ride is actually a motorcycle safety series, commissioned by the state government. But I try to do it in a why that is more about learning about a new place to ride.

Well done - the safety message is not rammed down your throat but delivered in a articulate mature way. Having driven this road, sometimes too quickly, it IS a road to be treated with care. I will head down there on the moto shortly, and will enjoy the ride rather than do the fast thing. You are not close to great emergency care on these great roads...

I’m glad it mentions the safety aspects. I love riding my bike. I love being on the road. I hate watching people die, put themselves at risk and put others at risk. I got overtaken going up Macquarie pass by a guy on a GS1200 with a pillion, doing a wheelie, over double lines, with an oncoming car - people can be total morons on bikes sometimes (yes in cars and trucks etc etc too but this is a bike video). I love the motorcycling community, I hate the morons that just have to speed and ride dangerously. I’ve seen people dead on the side of the road with a mangled bike next to them before, I don’t want to see it again. Ride safe, ride to live, live to ride.

Just a reminder that this is actually s commissioned motorcycle safety video by the state government. Dan is a pretty solid rider and would happily tear strips off his competition on the race track. Also, did you not see the wallaby nearly take his front wheel off?!

My point is if you worry about everything that can go wrong don’t ride. We are all adults and it is our choice to ride . We know the dangers.

I think the simple point here is that it's just stuff to be aware of. Practice it often enough and you won't need to worry about it. Plus we all want to ride so that we can't keep riding. For me, a little bit of worry has always kept me safe while not getting in the way of fun.

Practice all you want it won’t change a dam thing when your card is delt. 7 months ago I was riding home from work at knight. I came out of a corner to find a group of cows on the road. I was travelling at 100km and barely had time to get on the brakes when I hit one. As a result I’ve spent 7 months in and out of hospital I fractured my spine my right wrist tore tendon and ligaments in my hand had my wrist fused and still can’t use my hand properly plus a lot more. I was self employed mechanic and have lost my business and trying to keep my house at the moment . All this on a road I’ve ridden for 15+ years so spare me your lecture I have ernt the right to my opinion have you?
