Roadside Safety Device Analysis, Testing, and Evaluation Program 0-7086 

Crashes due to a vehicle leaving the roadway account for more than 45% of fatal crashes statewide, based on research from 2010-2016.
With more and heavier vehicles traveling faster on the roads, the Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute researched ways to develop roadway safety devices that are adaptable to diverse conditions and evolving road dynamics.
