Patiently waiting for a new video. Love your videos and your raising your wonderful kids perfectly. I’m in the USA and they don’t have these. We’re waiting 19 moths for 4wheel camper truck camper. You tempting me to think I want to figure out how to get one of these. Off topic but would love to know how you are in Italy and your journey to camping. My journey started years ago in a tent in the uk. It got awakened by you tube and watching someone camping ..vanlife..then truck camping so we can off road and wild camping. All of the truck camping is learning from others on here.
Hi Lorraine, many thanks for your lovely message and apologies for the slow reply. Yes, theres a lot of learning from others on YT amd also finding inspiration. We are in Italy due to work reasons…we came and then stayed as we loved it. We’ve always loved road trips and touring so with kids we wanted to continue and enjoy exploring under our own steam as a family…the campervan is brilliant for this! My kids have visited the uk twice. Were never been to Italy and I don't want to go to Rome. I like the Italy you show and its more appealingly if we ever get there.

Thank you! Yes, the chairs are brilliant. We can fit 5 in the small cupboard next to the sliding door. We bought them from a store called Decathlon. Similar are available from Amazon however, but we don’t know if they are as good as these ones. Thanks for watching, Jordan.

Ciao Stefan! It is call a Atera Strada DL. Perfect for the Nugget tailgate. Have a look at our Instagram account as I’ve just made an adaptation to carry skis 🎿 too. We are thinking of taking our new Nugget to Rome, maybe this summer…you might know of somewhere safe to park in the centre ofnthe city for a night or two🤔☺️
Would be curious to see how you guys pack for trips in the Nugget vs your video you did in the Cali a while back. We are thinking of switching as love the Nugget layout but not sure how we can juggle things like our awning, pushchair and all the kids stuff without the dedicated boot space you get with the Cali
Hi Tom. Always an interesting question this and I ought to do a video on it, like you say! IMHO, the Nugget is a much better solution than the California layout, providing you don’t need it to be a work horse of a van for work etc. The boot is always a talking point, but it is actually much, much better than a California mainly because we always had to empty the boot on our California to set up the downstairs bed. This meant it was hard to stealth or free camp anywhere (in a town etc). Also, as the downstairs bed swamps the downstairs area, you need outside space when set up. With the Nugget, you pack the cupboards and place overflow/bulky items in the kitchen (awning, push chair etc)…but you can still use both beds with things in the ‘boot’. Hope that helps! 😎

Hi there - what tow bar bike rack are you using please? Does the tilt allow the back tailgate to open up unobstructed even if only by a few inches? Are there any problems with this? Thanks
Hi Phil. The bike rack is called an Atera Strada DL. This is the 3rd van we have used it on and it works perfectly. On the Transit, the tailgate clears the rack by about 10mm…I’m always careful though. If your towbar is mounted quite low, then you may ground out the rack when sliding it rearwards which means the tailgate may not clear it….particularly important when you park with rising ground behind you. Depending on your towbar, you might be able to add spacers or alter the height of the tow ball to suit. I must have done over 20,000miles with this one and apart from an issue with a worn safety catch, its been awesome. Expensive but its justified. Thanks for watching, J.
