I love watching your channel. It’s more like just spending some relaxing time with good friends than watching videos. ‘Arne, I can hardly see you, Darling’. Sweetest thing ever. 😊
Hi Arne and Carlos! This is Rosanna, from Sacile, Pordenone, Italy. So good to see you both and so relieved you, Carlos, have recovered fully. You have certainly surpassed yourselves with the new "on-the-road" series in Norway, complete with a video on packing the suitcases. I love your dogme style of shooting, you guys are so much more free and playful. I just love it! I feel like we are all there with you, visiting gorgeous places that we would not otherwise get to see. I was pleasantly surprised when you both shared the fun fact about Italy importing the highest percentage of stockfish. Well wadda ya know! Then again, it is such an important dish here....baccalà and polenta...oh yum! Makes me want to go up there and make my contribution 😊 For now I am enjoying the gorgeous scenery. Stay safe and enjoy yourselves! Greetings from Italy 💕
I know that Eric is a great cameraman though I have to say that I am really enjoying your Dogme style videos, you are both more playful, great to see! I’ve just added a stay in one of those chalets onto my holiday wish list too 🌹🌹
Thank you Arne & Carlos. I am now learning how to knit the Norwegian way and it makes me very happy. Today I am grateful to see the Land of the Midnight sun. This is inspiring for my knitting.
You two are so hilarious together, it's wonderful to see you both having so much fun. I love what you are showing us of the Islands, and what a great idea to insulate naturally ! Very well explained Carlos, you would have made a great teacher... very patient. Looking forward to watching 'part 3'. Stay safe. Christinengland 👍🐟
Carlos, as a teacher I would say you are an auditory learner, especially your adeptness at picking up dialects and accents so quickly. Another insightful tour. I did not know how to do a sod roof. Sounds like a great school project. Thank you both for keeping us all in the loop!
Arne and Carlos you are wonderful ambassadors for your country. When world travel is safe again visiting your country will be a treat. Thank you and enjoy your vacation
As I will never have an opportunity to travel as you do, I am loving your videos. Perhaps you should plan more trips like this one in different parts of the world.
My husband had a convention last year in Narvik. We were beyond blessed to drive and have one night in Lofoten. By far the must beautiful place I have EVER been in my journeys! My husband and I enjoyed “revisiting” with you.
What a treat to take a tour of Norway from my couch! Norway is such a beautiful country. The little break from life in Melbourne, Australia (we are in strict lockdown for 6 weeks, with a curfew from 8pm-5am) is much appreciated. Thank you Carlos & Arne.
I think u 2 are great with the camera too😃. Carlos u have a lotsssss of information and story to tell, I can spend hours watching this kind of videos, and again, amazing place, keep enjoying u 2
What a stunning part of the world! I hope, one day, you are able to have your cruises! I would love to come. It's great to see your smiling faces again! Take care and thank you for the podcasts!
You guys!! I am so loving this ..... insulating with grass = WOW. And I love your speaking in your different languages ... impressive. Thank you for doing this. God bless and keep you.
Arne and Carlos. It's so wonderful that you are showing the rurbuer. We stayed there in 2015. It was July and we had such a fantastic time. I am so emotional watching it because there is something very magical to be above the Arctic Circle. The light is so different there
Wonderful to see part 2. The gull laughing when Carlos explained the locals swear alot and RU-vid would not like that made my day. It's nice to see you two so relaxed.
I am Norwegian by heritage, and was married to a Finn, so I've been up there too. I remember waking up at 4 in the morning and getting all excited that we were sleeping so late. I saw the sun up high and thought it was noon or so. Of course, I got laughed at. It's so beautiful there, and the old buildings are amazing. Thanks for showing us about how they're built and about the sod roofing. Very interesting.
Bacala!! When I worked in Toronto's Italian section, shops had it for sale in bins on the sidewalk. My Italian in-laws soaked it and it was served at the traditional Christmas Eve meal.
Beautiful place, looking forward to seeing more. Love hearing Arne speak in Norweigen, even if I don't understand a word of it.😃 Would like to hear him speak it more often.
Sooo beautiful! I love how rustic the cabinet is and yet practical. Looks like a perfect space to sit and relax and enjoy your holiday. I had no idea about the cod. It was so cool looking at the racks. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to the next video byte. Hugs
What a beautiful country! Interesting facts. I laughed out loud when you mentioned lovely ladies swearing! My Dad was from Wales and always said my Mum a Londoner, taught him to swear! 😂 Continue to have fun!
I have enjoyed going along on your trip so much! I love the beautiful scenery, fun banter, fun facts, and language tidbits. It's all so fun and interesting. I look forward to your videos every week and love spending time with you guys. Yay Arne and Carlos!!!!
How wonderful!!! I love traveling with you! I have not been to Norway, but once I visited Denmark and Sweden. I remember Lake Vattern and a peppermint factory in Granna..... I’ve had a difficult day today and coming home to your post could not have made this day any better!!! Thank you! Stay safe!
Carlos, since your language ability lets you almost instantly adjust your accent and tone I suspect you are also very musical. Language and music abilities are often connected since the same part of the brain is involved. What a sweet little stove in your room! It's interesting to see the logs in your room are squared. In the US, logs for a cabin are generally left round. So interesting to see similarities and differences between countries!
Interesting to hear about the insulation on the roof Carlos. So well explained. Thank you for taking us to the land of the midnight sun. Feels like we are right there with you. Looking forward to more episodes.
Thank you for taking us all on our Nordic summer holiday as we shelter wherever home is. Someday I hope to visit Norway to see the midnight sun as well as the northern lights!
To do that, you’ll have to take two trips to Norway as you can not see the Aurora Borealis in the summer, when the sun is up 24/7 ( to see the aurora, it must be completely dark)
Megan McHugh Perfect! Now you have 2 reasons and 2 excuses to make 2 trips here!! We recommend February or early March for Aurora Borealis and you’ll need to go further north, to Tromsø area (preferably far away from the city itself) which is the best place in Norway to see it but if course, it is also visible in Lofoten as well.
Hello Arne and Carlos what a stunning place Norway is it is so magical , and thank you for all the interesting facts I am just off to look at No 3 love you guys XXX
One of my earliest memories as a girl, 60+ years ago (in the U.S.) is of a children's book with a picture of a cow on the roof of a house ... and the roof was all grass. So this video made me feel very nostalgic. I met you both for the first time during quarantine through your wonderful daily videos. So it's very, very nice to see you both out and having a lovely time travelling together. Thanks for the sweet memories and images. 💚💚💚
I'm enjoying your road trip series so much. Such a beautiful country. Carlos, had to laugh when you mentioned that you aren't a fan of the dive bombing birds. It also reminded me of the movie, The Birds. which was probably not the best movie for a youngster to watch. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thank you for sharing your trip. I love seeing Norway. Your life there looks wonderful. It was interesting to see the roof insulation. In Texas, we have the opposite problem to try and stay cooler in the summer. Our temperatures get over 105 degrees during August. I am in the south central region and winters rarely get below freezing.
So much fun being with you on your holiday. Carlos you would make Geography and History lessons so much more fun I love the little quizzes you keep giving Arne 😂. Most of all I love this music🎵 🎶 the tune is stuck in my head very catchy ✨💖 Suz x
Thank you so much for sharing this vid! I enjoyed it very much. I knew the grass roofs from Laufas, Iceland already. I didn't know they were also used in Norway. You always learn something new :-) !
So interesting, thanks again for showing the details, the log cabin and room is so cozy and I the stove!,! So homely, a really enjoyable virtual visit 😊
