Seeing Curtis with Winnie while she tried her glasses on really brought a tear to my eye. Some of us were not as lucky growing up and didn’t have such an amazing dad around to show us unconditional love. Love to see all the love between your family❤️
What a fun day! I love shopping in the States too. Their selection is incredible. I go abt every 6weeks or so. Eating in the States used to be so cheap, but not anymore. Their prices have shkyrocketed since the border re-opened.

Fishing glasses are "polarized". When looking at water there is no glare and you are able to see into the water. Try it, once you use them you will not go back to regular sunglasses.
Love the US shopping vlogs! I just watched another video of someone that crosses the border between Ontario and Buffalo NY and they never get charged duty. She said they always tell them they got groceries and home goods, and they just let them go through. Wonder why it’s different at the New Brunswick boarder? I’m in NS and hoping I can cross the boarder for a shopping trip trip this summer!
I could be wrong but I think it also depends on how long you are staying in the US. Like the extra fees and duties are much less if you were outside of Canada for more than 24/48 hours.
@@jamiecolbert Yes! You’re allowed $200 duty free after 24 hours and $800 duty free after 48 hours. The other video I saw they were only in the US for a few hours so they technically would have to pay duty on anything they purchased, but said they never get charged any duty.
They’re pretty strict here - the only groceries we don’t have to pay duty on are fruit, veg, meat & milk I think - and we can’t bring a lot of that back with us anyways 🤷♀️

Glad you had a great trip. We’re going to visit family that are 2 & 1/2 hours away. Next time we should plan to drive another 1 hr & 45 mins after our visit & we’d be in Minot, ND. We used to go there when the kids were young for just a little getaway. We’ll have to go on a Fri or Sat though, not on a Sunday as I’m sure things close down earlier. Have a great Sunday!! I was so po'd when they took Bugles off the market up here. I didn't eat them often but when I wanted them, I WANTED them, now. Oue Walmarts don't being in the Bratz dolls either. My adult niece is an avid collector of them and the USA Walmart has the Pride dolls and we cant get our hands on them! 😢

Here in uk government have just decided that basic food like milk,bread,eggs,cheese are to expensive now they have told manufacturers and food stores they have bring price basic down some family can not afford to buy butter that's 7 pound a tub in Canada its 11 dollars 76 cent people can't afford that miranda and basic bread that's not very nice is crap but next brand of bread that's nice is 2 pound is about 3 dollars 36 cent in Canada milk is about 4 pounds in Canada that's 6dollars 76 cent 33 0/0 price increase since covid started here England 🇬🇧
Marden's gets alot of stuff trucks that have accidents, or a warehouse that had a fire, but it's a great place to buy material, I bought polar fleece material for my dog, it was 5 dollars for a huge blanket used in my cars backseat no sewing required, it's like Kent discount in St Antoine

I have a silly question. When you just do a day trip to the states, do you bring American money? Or can you pay with Canadian? How does it work?? We’re heading to Buffalo next month and I don’t what to bring 😩
I cross border shop in Niagara Falls and Buffalo. About 90% of stores take your debit, but you have to use chip not tap. For the other 10% either be ok with a back up credit card or have US cash. Don't know if anywhere takes Cdn cash anymore. Being border town most stores are used to Cdn"s maybe having trouble with cards. I have trouble at 5 Below and Burlington for sure.

OMGoodness date day w/the southern couple from Canada,You two crack me up🤣I'm about as southern as you can get in Fla here but I don't have an accent.My husband of 32yrs is from Louisiana he has an accent🤣But we do have great food fried chicken is the bomb,But I airfry everything keep weight down that way and eat alot of salad.I've bartended and been a server for decades people from everywhere I've waited on....Everyone has some type of draw weather it's Minnesota or Kentucky they all are pretty great people.Love ya always Lynn🥰
