@@user-sg6ii3eo9i The fundamental problem with beans and toast (coming from someone with British relatives) is that it's often made with crap Heinz canned beans. The beans are mushy and themselves bland, so to compensate, they're swimming in this sickly sweet diluted ketchup sauce. It's a dish for folks who enjoy eating ketchup as a meal. I love beans, but this dish ain't it. I appreciate that some folks might like it, but with all the delicious dishes in the world, it surprises me that beans and toast landed on someone's top 9.

@@RiotNoobs As an actual Brit. Even though Branston is better. Heinz is nowhere near as horrible as you describe. It is not sickly sweet, it is not ketchup sauce and the beans are not mushy and bland. Beans on toast will land on 99% of every Brit's top 9. We do NOT enjoy eating ketchup as a meal.

I think the difference is that he'd fight for beans and toast hitting a spot that no other dish can hit regardless of nostalgia. From what he described, the combination of flavors seems pretty interesting. While spaghetti bolognese has a very standard flavor profile that many dishes occupy, so you can argue it's not actually GOATed compared to other dishes in its category.

As a manager at Pizza Hut I can tell Garnt they did the edge pizza summer 2022 and I can say it will return. All the pizza is, is a thin crust with the crust cut off and sweet sauce instead of classic pizza sauce. He might be able to talk to a pizza hut into doing the pizza for him

Garnt, the Pizza Hut smell is totally a REAL thing. My theory is that their dough has a specific combination of shortening and yeast types that produce that aroma. Add that powerful smell to the fragrance of onions and bell peppers, and that's the signature Pizza Hut smell you're talking about.

Honestly, most Thai people would probably agree with this, and Garnt did too. It’s not really the “best” so much as a basic go to dish that everyone eats all the time. My girlfriend is from Bangkok and if asked for the “best” she’d probably say either Tom Yum or Khao Soi. But Kra Pao is definitely a staple there.

As someone who worked at a pizza hut for a few months in college, I can attest to pizza hut having a VERY strong and particular smell. I never ate pizza hut as a kid or in general, so it was really weird to smell this weirdly appetizing, yet disgustingly synthetic aroma coming from something meant to be eaten. It smelled simultaneously gross and fake and chemically and somehow mouthwatering and tasty smelling.

OK, I never watched this originally when it came out 2 months ago but man the new Trash Taste ep 191 was actually pretty decent so I decided to watch this. I am glad this exists! You guys seem to actually enjoy doing the podcast again. Seems you guys course corrected the show to have less tours and make more quality, fun episodes.

For the strawberry cake thing. In Sweden we have something called Fika. Its a thing between like one to four a clock where we eat a piece of cake of a cinnabon with a cup of coffe or te. That is the perfect time for cake not after a big dinner.

Connor: "Brisket NEEDS sauce" No Connor, no it doesn't. Stop eating at shitty BBQ joints. Brisket needs absolutely nothing at all when it's done right. It's moist, tender, salty, smoky, peppery, and perfect. If the brisket you're eating needs sauce, they fucked it up. Pastrami and Corned Beef are brisket as well. Condiments can enhance them, but they aren't necessary. It's not so much a "Trash Taste Take", as it is "Connor has only had garbage." Seriously.

Can someone explain the difference in flavor between the meats? Why would Connor, who probably eats steak without sauce, think it's different with brisket? It's not a rhetorical question I genuinely have never had brisket. (Knowingly)

@@destituteanddecadent9106 Steak is a broad term, there are a lot of types from different parts of the cow so I can't really say from that but what I can say is that brisket is usually greasy and has a nice bit of fat with it. Typically you eat it with BBQ sauce and with bread but it's very doable to do it alone because the juices and fat of the meat and whatever it was cooked with, are just flooding out of it. Brisket is also very tender when cooked properly so it doesn't require cutting or a lot of chewing.

Brisket is not overrated. If it's done well, it should be juicy. Dry rubs are great. You should try brisket in other forms like brisket queso fries, brisket sandwiches, Texas sized loaded brisket baked potatoes! Pulled pork is great too, and the sides are elite
