Super mega unpopular opinion: I think Frank and Hazel are really underrated and l love them. Hazel has such an interesting backstory and Frank has great development in HOH.
The first one already ticks me off haha Frank is such a gentle yet strong soul, he shows incredible growth throughout the series - I enjoyed each of his chapters. Jason on the other hand… he was so bland. I don’t hate him, but there was just nothing about him. If you’d ask me what his personality is like, I would not be able to tell you.
Unpopular opinion: I really love Rachels character... I know that she got in the way of Percabeth.. BUT THEY STILL ENDED UP TOGETHER- AND IT JUST HELPED THE STORY MOVE ALONG... And TLH even insinuates that Rachel and Annabeth are friends.. so why all the hateeeeeeee?? My personal opinion: is that my fav characters are Annabeth, Leo, Rachel, Percy & Zoe Nightshade~ ⚠I do not ship Perachel⚠ (I hate the ship I just like the character)

I’m sorry to all the Piper fans, but I hate Piper with a passion! She’s always just annoyed me a bit and it took me an hour to read all the piper chapters purely because I kept putting it down out of boredom. (If you like Piper then that’s brilliant, I’m so happy for you!)
I just...frank was the only representation I got...and I loved his character and the stick thing and the shapeshifting and the archery and frazel is adorable...
A lot of people like to pretend that Annabeth is abusive to Percy to excuse not liking her and I think it’s a piss poor take. They match each other’s energy all the time. Seaweed Brain was an insult for like three seconds when they were twelve and has been a term of endearment that Percy LIKES ever since. She judo flipped him when she fully believed he still had the invulnerability and it wouldn’t actually hurt. Percy has never been scared of her, she’s never caused any real blow to his self esteem or sense of self worth in her teasing (which has been playful since they were kids). They just have a playful relationship where they jab at each other sometimes. Yes, Annabeth could be a pain sometimes when she was a scared, traumatized child trying to navigate a war and a relationship with someone she thought she was destined to lose. That doesn’t make her a bad person, and it doesn’t make her abusive. Everyone is a pain sometimes. Everyone has their moments. But Percy isn’t some poor little baby who can’t stand up for himself. Loyalty or no, if Annabeth was genuinely making him feel bad consistently, he would tell her. AND SHE WOULD STOP. BECAUSE SHE CARES ABOUT HIM.
@@adarshraj2978 If you get flipped flat on your back, you’re gonna mostly feel it in areas other than the small of it unless you land really weird. Also, sparring is really common at Camp Half-Blood. I’m sure they do it regularly and she knows how to flip a person without causing real injuries. So there’s the fact that she thought he was still invulnerable and the fact that we have every reason to believe she knows how to do that safely.

I personally love annabeth! she's amazing. i dont know how people find her boring or dislike her, because i think she's a lovely character and i love her relationship with percy. my favourite characters are nico, thalia & percy!!!
I'm going to get hate for this, but Leo is my least favorite character of the 7. He isn't so bad in The Lost Hero, but any time after that he had a POV I was just WAITING for it to be over. I think whether you think Sea of Monsters is bad really depends on when you read it. I had no knowledge of what happens in The Odyssey when I read that book, so I loved it then and still do, but I totally get how people who had already read or with familiar with The Odyssey could not enjoy it. It's definitely the least *original* thing Rick Riordan has written. My unpopular opinion is that Calypso should have joined the Hunters instead of Reyna. Reyna spent the entirety of HOO being devoted to Camp Jupiter, and to decide to suddenly give that up just felt so wrong to me. I love aroace Reyna, but she needs to do the work to get there without joining the Hunters, and if Uncle Rick really wanted her out of the way, he could have just had her go off to college or something. Calypso, meanwhile, gets to escape her toxic relationship with men (Leo is part of the problem but not all of it) and see the world without the fear of growing old and dying.
My Unpopular Percy Jackson Opinions🩵✨ (also I haven't read all the books and I don't know all the info, so these might change) 1. Rachel is one of my fav characters. I don't really know why i just thought she was cool and nice. I also think that Percy did have a small crush on her, just not as much as Annabeth. They are a cute ship but i don't think it would of worked out, and percabeth is better. I also don't agree that Rachel was friends with Percy just to try to be a part the godly world bc she befriended Percy without actually knowing about the gods and she was destined to be the oracle anyways so she was already connected to it. 2. This next one is a VERY Unpopular Opinion so please hear me out and don't kill me ❤ The 1st Percy Jackson movie is good. let me explain. So many people hate on it which i get to an extent but i think its way to much. let me clarify that I DO NOT think it is a good adaptation. be honest you can barely call it an adaptation bc it is nothing like the book. but this does not make it a bad movie. I am really into films and movie, i love doing acting, film directing and script writing so i am pretty good at telling when something is good or not. and the Percy Jackson movie is a good film. It has good writing, acting, design, editing and a plot line that makes sense even if it is not like the books. it isn't the most amazing movie but it is enjoyable and fun to watch. i really wish that people could see that and not hate on it bc the strong hate of the movie from the fandom has lead to others to not being allowed to like the movie which is really disappointing. don't get me wrong i love making fun of the inaccuracy of it from time to time but that doesn't make it a bad movie. Overall i think it was a well made movie (not adaptation) that was inspired by the book and it does not deserve the hate it gets. (also if you disagree just watch the movie again and completely disconnect it from the books. So you can truly judge the movie for being a movie not an adaptation.)
Rachel only became friends with Percy AFTER she knew about the magical world since their friendship only became a thing after she helped them on the quest. And Rachel herself admitted that so I don't see why you're trying to deny it. Percy was the only connection she had to a world that she wanted to and was destined to be part of and that was her attraction to him (her own words).
I would disagree. They didn’t initially get along, so for Calypso it was the first time she didn’t instantly fall in love but discovered actual feelings for a person as she got to know him. It was major character development for her, in my opinion. I haven’t read ToA yet, but this argument remains valid even if their relationship takes a turn for the worse.
@@ArtisticAphrodite because she absolutely acts and is described as someone who is mentally on exactly the same level as them. And for the greater part of those years she was stuck isolated on an island, you can’t exactly call her an experienced adult.
I LOVE Frank, Hazel, and Jason! Frank is such a sweetie and has great character development (he reminds me of Neville Longbottom, who is one of my favourite HP characters of all time). He's genuine, polite, and a gentleman. He's just so lovely. Hazel is so sweet as well, and she's so friendly towards everyone. She's also super brave and always stands up for what she thinks is right. And while she's a child of Pluto, she's probably the opposite of what you'd expect one to be. She is just the kindest person and I love her so much! She's my cinnamon bun, and Frank is my teddy bear. Frazel is one of my OTPs
Unpopular Opinions: The ending of Blood of Olympus was a hot mess (just too many things to be wrapped up at once) Caleo is toxic Jasper/Jiper was also toxic (did everyone just skim over the part where Hera basically forced it to happen??) The first POVs were better perspectives than third POVs Bianca and Silena were NOT heroes (causing a problem and then solving it does not make you a hero) Annabeth is a good character but the story should have held her accountable for the mistakes she made Leo angst is the only one given a ton of attention by the fandom HOO should have been seven books Percy>Hazel>Leo>Annabeth>Frank>Jason/Piper Artemis should not be pressuring children into immortality. Thank the gods I'm not the only one who thinks that Leo's angst is talked about ENOUGH. Everyone in the Riordanverse has trauma but Leo's is the most popular one. AND PEOPLE STILL SAY THAT HIS TRAUMA ISN'T TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH. Its literally the most talked about. I agree with the whole Artemis pressuring children, like, let them be kids!
At first when I was reading Lost Hero I really found Pipers POVs boring but her Arc is so good though the series that I found myself looking forward to them.
I'm gonna say something wild I love Percy as a character and his POV in the og series was amazing but in hoo his obsession with being manly and the idea of not being 100% manly made him useless gave me a migraine to the point that I wanted to skip his chapters im also not done with the series so who knows my opinion may change
Not really an opinion, but a friend of mine told me that one of the characters in the Lightning theif is actually evil, I was suspecting Grover the whole time😂. Poor Grover.
noooo Annabeth is one of the characters (or maybe the only one???) make Percy not go to arrogant path. He doesn't baby Percy also and it feels good to read a character that make an OP character humble and double guessing his choices/plans. Also percabeth is a perfect duo if they are not arguing/cold to each other 😆
Unpopular opinion: Bianca is a bad person and i cant bring myself to feel bad for her. As the oldest sibling of my family who had to take care of my younger siblings all the time cause our only parent was rarely there i understand that it sucks to have to take care of them all the time and almost be their only caretaker, but i dont think that is an excuse. Especially considering their time in the hotel. I still dont think she's badly written, i just never understood how people tried to argue that what she did was valid and understandable.
Personally I really loved ToA because it offered a chance to go back to the world of PJO and see all the characters (besides Annabeth except at the end, but she was too involved with Magnus in the timeline) but from a completely new and hilarious perspective. Yes Percy is amazing and funny but personally I find Lester and also Magnus narration funnier
My unpopular opinion is that Jason is a much better character than frank and piper . Also hazel should’ve ended up with Leo . The relationship with calypso is so weird . (Before anyone comes at me for race reasons , I’m Indian myself , I like characters for who they are first and representation second )

Unpopular opinion: The Blood of Olympus is one of my favorite books that Rick Riordan has written. I honestly think it is better than The Battle of the Labyrinth and I don’t understand all of the hate it gets
The problem was with the final fight. It was really pathetic, it used 3/7 prophecies and it also took like 5 pages of Piper telling the goddess to sleep. Not only did that make charmspeak extremely overpowered it also made Gaea look way less powerful than Kronos. Also so many loose knots and plots that were never solved for it to feel satisfying. It should have taken another book for Gaea to actually start the fight. Kinda how Kronos took over in book 4 but wasn’t defeated till book 5.
I love Annabeth but I found the depiction of her in Heroes of Olympus... not really boring but not really good? She was like a lite version of herself, and HoO in general made me dislike Percabeth as a couple, even though I was actively routing for them in PJO for the most part. Also my least favorite of the 7 is Leo, and my favorite would be Hazel.
Or maybe Annabeth grew up? People keep expecting her to be the same character she was when she was 12 in PJO which is weird. After everything she went through she's going to more mature which is what she was in HoO. Percy and Annabeth are older than the rest of the seven. They should be more mature.

I kinda agree cause I LOVE READING PIPER and Leo is really fun too (i love Jason but his POV's are boring) And honestly, Percy was The only interesting POV for me in SoN (Hope I dont get murdered in cold blood for this)
Listen the story's are both great but I like son of neptune because the characters are way better I love frank because he's a nice guy and a chinese canadian, I am also I chinese canaidian.and percy cause we can all agree he's awesome.and piper is my least favorite of the 7 but hazel is pretty cool
