Brydon is very good with his Michael Caine... but when Coogan goes into "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" was as good.

For anyone who doesn't know this and the previous trip were tv series before they were films and its a shame because as much as I liked these two films I would have liked to see both series in their original cuts but there is still no word of a dvd release here in america (the tv shows that is)

The Bane impression from Coogan is exactly the same voice he uses when he puts his foot on a spike in Partridge.

I laughed so hard by the part "He's basically yodeling", I had to go back & watch again. Both of these "Trip" movies aren't super-great, but the Michael Caine sections in both, and other imitations, especially by Brydon, are genius.

i'm an ignorant american and am unfamiliar with rob brydon. i'm ashamed to say i'd never heard of him until now, and yet i'm telling the world, but i do appreciate the brilliant steve coogan. a fellow caine (and quality comedy) fan sent me a link to the earlier version of this. (they've improved upon their already fantastic work.) i don't know how much editing was done to extract giggle fits, but how these two were able to maintain some semblance of composure - enough to channel a more than passable michael caine - with that presumably improvised, hilarious dialogue without completely corpsing is astonishing. you can see them suppressing laughter, but they don't break. people on the set must have been thinking "corona corona corona corona" - anything grim and somber - to keep from ruining the scene. i work in film. i'd have had to flee the scene. i must see the original "the trip" ASAP. #mycocaine4ever
