I met Steve yesterday (24th Feb 23) he came to my Grandma's funeral. With his mother, after the service he took his mother home and then came to the wake on his own. Spoke to my mum, my aunts 1 by 1 and then my Grandad. It was very wholesome and I appreciated it so much that he did that.

@DonJuanDM yeah, he grew up with my mum and her sisters. His mother was my Grandma's best friend back in Blackley. That was the first time I met him, sad way to meet him but yeah.

@RU-vid Man meh did meet Steve at his Grandma's funeral. I should know, I am the Grandad referred to. During the funeral he was asked to say a few words and did a Ronnie Corbett meets Silvester Stallone skit. My wife would have appreciated it because she loved both of them. Afterwards Steve invited us to his Beverley Hills mansion. He flew us out on his private jet ... I know what you are thinking....

I wonder if Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon have seen Netflix's auto-created preview videos for their Trip movies like The Trip To Italy? (The ones that play automatically when you are just browsing.) They are awesome - the artificial intelligence doesn't understand the movies are comedy, so it auto created previews with flowery music and clips that make it seem like they're a gay couple on a romantic holiday, complete with drama and romance. So hysterical. Edit: Looks like only The Trip To Spain is available now, and the music/preview (which comes up on the Apple TV) is more like a serious drama. :-)

I think most people can sometimes be a bit rude and arrogant. Incidentally, I've heard the opposite - that he's extremely down to earth and warm. I suppose people just believe what they want to believe
