Coaching fooball might be the toughest of the coaching jobs and as a football coach I can genuinely say that out of all the coaches out there, probably 30-40% really know football at high level. Now out of all the football players how many can run a 4.3? Beat an all-pro corner? Beat an NFL OT? How many basketball players can guard an NBA PG? Or shoot over 50% from the field in the NBA? Thats the diffence when talking about competitive sports...the players are the 1% and should be. Could all these coaches and front office people eventually got jobs on their own? Its a far better chance than a player.

Rob is right when he says “you know how many great players don’t make it” but that also opens the possibility that bronny COULD BE THAT GREAT PLAYER THAT NEVER MADE IT THAT WILL MAKE IT NOW.

Rob is 99% on point. Only thing I disagree with is Bronny never playing a minute in the G-League as long as Lebron is a Laker. Even Lebron would allow that to happen because when they/JJ Redick realizes Bronny doesn't belong, Lebron would know it's best for Bronny and his development to get playing time in the G-League. He's get some games to start the season but they'll quickly realize he's not ready. Only reason he'll get those games is because of Lebron. Everything else is accurate though. And I'm also tired of Thanasis being brought up. Rob is right, Thanasis was drafted a year after Giannis, Giannis wasn't even a star when he was drafted. Thanasis got to the league on his own merit, not off his name. You cannot say the same for Bronny.

Whether you agree or don't with the decision to pick bronny, the fact is the media has done the 2024 draft class dirty. I don't have an issue with bronny getting drafted, but he is the 55th pick and he's the only person everybody is talking about. You can't blame lebron or bronny for that. That blame falls on the talking heads. Time to move on to the rookies who are actually gonna make an impact.

Two things can be true. It’s amazing that Lebron has the power to get his kid in the league and also, per NBA scouts who’ve see Bronny play, he’s not a league caliber player.

Honestly I never thought I'ld say this about a kid that just got drafted to the NBA but I feel bad for bronny. The expectations on this kid already are unreasonable and it's even worse being on the same team as LeBron cause some players and coaches will treat him differently (good and bad) and opposing players are gonna go at bronny to be a headline. And Im sorry but being drafted to a pro sport is completely different than some rich dude getting his son or nephew a job in a random company.

Rich Paul called teams to not draft Bronny because those teams thought that if they drafted Bronny then Lebron would come to play with him. And Lebron might have actually felt compelled to do it but he prefers to play in LA.
