One of the few times Rob is actually right. If he’s really good at baseball, he will definitely make more money in baseball than football. Like Unc said, look at how much these guys are worth. I'm with Skip. I think with the new offenses and rules Kyler Murray would do just fine in the NFL, maybe even good to great. If Lamar Jackson can have success as a running QB, Mayfeild, and especially Mahomes as these non-traditional hybrid/scramblers QBs he can have success as well. I'm going to use a little experience, but DEFINITELY not near Murray's level In high schoo junior yesrl, I was being looked at by the bigs. A projected 3rd rounder. I also ran track, which as yall know is during the same season. As more offers came in for track, and more teams started visiting for baseball, I got a C in math that quarter. Mama stepped in, called the school to meet with the AD, baseball and track coach. Told them all, "we don't allow C's in our house" then she looked at me and said, "choose which sport you want to do. You're not doing both. You ha e until tomorrow morning to make your decision". Later that night daddy was doing his best to convince me to play baseball, but he said be a man and make your decision. I chose track. Why? Because it was in my heart. I believe football is in Kyler's heart. He wants to give it a shot. I have no problem with that. As a man, you have to go with your heart. If you fail, you fail on your own with NO regrets. And when I made the decision, that's what my daddy told me. Be a man, make the decision what's in your heart so you have no regrets. Mama didn't care. I was going to college regardless haha Kyler is young. He will get drafted and give it a shot, and the off season do the Russell Wilson thing and do the sprng training and gauge where he is at. I like the move.

I'm just saying if he does make it and becomes a good QB it's a success the only reason people are saying it's a mistake is because the risk of him not making it in the NFL is high Edit: I'm saying risk as a QB to make the huge money, he could play some other positions

STREET SPIRIT Exactly. Rob Parker is doing this to please his own like for baseball. Kyler will not be very popular or well known in baseball. It’s just a fact, Tom Brady is more well known then everybody playing baseball to this day.

The thing about it hes better at football than baseball. He got drafted purely off of potential in baseball he wasnt all that people dont realize that

Another good point though that I think every young athlete should do is at least play multiple sports. Regardless of the level. Even playing catch helps. Each sport has a trait you can learn from and use it in another sport, even maybe a mentality. I think thats an underrated thing, is the different things you can use for other sports. Might be an advantage if you know certain skills from each sport.

Kyler Murray isn't just short, he's tiny for a QB, Brees is 6'1", Russell is 5'11". Murray is 5'9" on a good day, and on tape he looks shorter, you can't roll out to find your throwing lanes all the time in the NFL, you have to sit in the pocket and throw, no gimmick offense can mask that height disadvantage. In baseball the smaller you are, the smaller your strike zone becomes to the umpire.

Yea..... Idk I think ummm... Kyler does fine throwing from the pocket actually.... looks pretty beast in the nfl.

If I’m Kyler Murray I’m telling teams I want to do both and I can do it and if you don’t believe I can do that then your team will miss out. Also that AAU story is real kids are being told to only focus on sports but it cuts them off from becoming well rounded individuals

The question is very simple... where is his heart at? What is his dream? Whatever it is he should do that.
@spartacus1577

What he SHOULD do and the RIGHT decision is to pick which sport he LOVES!! He has guaranteed money and a position in the MLB and possibility of longevity and less injuries he knows all this. And yet he CANNOT let football go he cannot escape his dream of the NFL forget what’s “best” for you if you’d be miserable wandering what could’ve been if you had played the game you truly love. Stick with Football Kyler and whatever happens know that you chose what you loved and hopefully you’ll succeed!!! Don’t settle!!!
