People don't watch the Lakers for Jeanie Buss, they watch it for the biggest star in the game LeBron James. If LeBron wants a roster spot for his son, then that is good enough for me, because you are getting two for one.
He can be our back up point guard immediately he’s a great all handler and facilitator and would get better and better on defense it’ll be like lonzo ball if he was a second round pick
If he listens to his father, he will have a long career. But the problem is that a lot of kids think that they are smarter than their parents and want to go their own direction. If Bronny decides that he doesn't want to take his father's advice, then he will be out of the league in a couple of years.
I think more ppl just think it’s not earned, not counting him out as much. But we have seen others that were not so good in college step up and be a good solid nba player
Crazy how many dudes hating on Bronny, the kid literally went to the NBA combine, and was ranked 58th. He went 55th, just move on from your Lebron hate 😂
if a toddler was drafted by the Lakers people wouldn't be hating on the toddler, they would be hating on the father for forcing it to happen. If LeBron really wanted him to succeed he would kept out of it. This is about him playing with his son at all costs, nothing more.
You sound ridiculous. People having an opinion is not hate. The facts are this is an example of what's been wrong with LeBrons teams as of late. He has too much control. His kid who I hope be great isn't even a good player at any level. People commenting on that only. I have yet to read any comments hating on him as a person
When you become a Lakers part owner you can fire all the James family. I am routing for you to stop drowning in Lebron's seminal fluid and make something of your life so you can make such decisions. Routing for you Mr. Esgue008!
Bronny will be just fine. To be honest, he cannot do any worse than the garbage the Lakers had coming off the bench last year. Dinwiddie, Vincent and Hayes averaged 5 points combined in the playoffs....just saying!
@@purpleperc1012 It's not apart of sports because Jordan didn't do it? Jordan is a different human being bro. He straight up told everyone his sons buns... you make no sense.
at this point Lakers fan should do like Europe fans does. go in front of the staples center and ask for Rob Pelinka To step down. and ask for Lebron to leave the Team 😅

And clowning and shaming those who use it has been also.
@@thefourfourfour9512 never said there was hate. Go into any comment section and you'll find people legitimately hating on him cause of who is dad is. Let me rephrase then, I hope he can prove the doubters wrong.
its not about hate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬 its simple fact the kid is not good did you watch his game at USC???? and To be honnest with you i think Bryce is better .
I love seeing young lakers fans that don’t know the history thinking it’s ok to have lebron hold this team hostage with threats to leave if his demands aren’t met.
This is not the Laker team that we know they're not about winning championships they're about selling tickets to the clown show they should change the name to the Los Angeles LeBron's
It’s arguably the greatest player of all time. 10 years from now we will remember this moment of father and son playing together, we won’t remember the 55th pick we would have gotten that would have probably got cut. Don’t be a hater, be happy for folks.
Ppl have incredibly short memories. Magic left cause Pelinka snaked him out of that job. Magic has lierally done interviews on this. Do any of u goofs even watch the NBA or are u just getting info from Tik Tok or whatever?
Two things most ordinary people hate in life. 1. Working for a boss with no credentials who got the job because they’re ‘mates’ with someone. 2. A person with 0 talent who you have to work with because their parent got them the job. The Lakers have both scenarios in the team at the same time. Watch them implode the next 12 months when the losses start to mount. You’ll then see the brutal reality of life and sports. Something Buss will never understand growing up in her ivory tower. Don’t be shocked if the Lakers own fans boo ‘Bronny’ wildly when the losses rack up…

People don’t want to give Bronny credit and say he got this all because of his Dad but before Bronny’s cardiac arrest he was an incredible player who looked like an NBA prospect in high school. If that unfortunate event never happened (when he almost died) Bronny would probably be a valuable first-round pick and couldn’t be discredited. We should be celebrating him for coming back and recovering not tearing him down.
In a way though its a good thing it did happen. It allowed him to get the surgery he needed. Better than finding it out late and missing NBA development time...or worse.
@xb1206 Cool story bro.... Doesn't mean he was worthy of being drafted tonight! What happens when the average collegate star prospect suffers bronnys cardiac arrest setback.... 9/10 times their pro aspirations are OVER right then and there!
2012 - Michael Jordan son Marcus Undrafted 2014 - John Stockton son David Undrafted 2016 - Gary Payton son GP2 Undrafted 2022- Scottie Pipen son Justin Undrafted 2022 - Shaquille Oneil son Shareef Undrafted All of them with better college careers then Bronny James.
What about Giannis and his brothers? The Bucks knew they wouldn’t have him if they didn’t have his brothers on the team back in 2019-to this current season. I’m just saying you gotta have juice to pull it off
No he aint he talking like a guy that's not trying to get fined by the nba he choosing his words carefully plus lebron already posted a pic of him and bronny in a laker uniform so we know he coming back and he knows he just hasn't made it official until lebron is ready
If I wanted to see a father and son show I would go to the park. What happened to putting winning real regular season NBA championships as the priority?
Extremely excited and happy for Bronny. People need to lay off the negativity and embrace this special moment. I am optimistic that he will have the development and support to transform into a good 3 and D point guard. What a legacy defining moment!!
Thank you NBA, it is a pleasure to experience this history in my lifetime instead of reading it in a history book. The action in meaning is deeper than most ppl can understand right now. Aspiration and inspiration 👍👍👏🏽
We made history in Puerto Rico to with a similar nepotism case. We had to kick the governor out because how terrible and incompetent he was before his term was due.
What potential? He only got drafted to make lebron happy. He has a questionable heart, he wasn't good in college and now throw him into the nba on a nationally spotlight team. They destroyed this kid before he had any opportunity. He should've stayed in college and grew
Dude relax…it’s pick 55… there’s 58 total picks…he would be available after the draft if they didn’t take him at 55…it’s for lebron to be happy and resign and for bronnys own 19 year old ego and development..what’s wrong with that? Don’t be a hater use your brain dummy
What's funny is that we actually drafted a top 10 player at #17 Dalton Knecht but folks complaining about who we picked at 55 😂😂😂 bunch of clowns claiming they laker fans
I’m a die hard lakers fan but we gotta be realistic . What were you hoping to get out of a 55th pick if it wasn’t bronny at that pick we can’t expect much tbh
This is a low risk, high reward pick on a basketball standpoint. Very seldom you get a quality pick that late in the draft. And due to his cardiac incident he didnt reach his college potential, but his work ethic & maturity can really be valuable. Marketing wise, the lakers can really milk this.
Fact of the matter is because of his dad, he was put on the radar. So if any other team out there wanted him that’s great. But the fact that the Lakers are the ones that shows him is pure nepotism and sickening. Any other team if they chose him would have no other choice or basis to select him other than talent and what he brought to the floor. The Lakers did it to keep LeBron happy. Not because of what the kid actually brings to the table. It’s bullshit for the franchise, the fans and Bronny himself. Like if he was selected by Phoenix or Dallas, at least he would’ve been legitimately selected based on talents of some sort that they saw
Cry more, it’s good to know that yall think yall know better then Bronny pops Lebron what’s better for Bronny 🤦🏾♂️ 😂😂 they got this yall just sit back and watch
@@sphinxowl Bronny wasn't even on the radar for ANY other team. His *ONLY* chance at the NBA was the Lakers drafting him to keep Lebron happy and with the team, or LONG SHOT Cleveland drafting him to convince Lebron to move.
@@bricefleckenstein9666 he was invited to workout with 10 teams TEN! Let that sink in. The suns were interested, Toronto was interested, the Mavs were interested, THE CELTICS were interested. I understand you guys don’t like Bronny but they really were looking
@@sphinxowl I'm amazed there were that many teams that showed ANY interest. At best, given his college level VERY LOW performance, he'll be a bench-warmer and not a very good one.
This is not ideal for Bronny...if you watched him play his 10 minutes in college you know he is about to get manhandled in this league and EVERYONE is going to see it. He needed a few more years.
How are you going to beat the Mavericks, Nuggets or the Timberwolves to make it to the finals? You need to make some block buster trade by trading Anthony Davis for someone that is reliable.
The lakers just destroyed their season with this and if lebron takes the extension the lakers destroyed their future for years to come. Bronny is done. Hes thrown onto a major team with expectations. He wasn't good in college and now to play in the NBA? Yeah ok, this isnt going to be a disaster for the kid. And when the criticism really starts, the media will have to play some race card.
Comment section is crazy, lmao… Laker fan since 96 here. I find it comical the “arguments” non fans make. Just watch the game. If it ain’t a Chip, it ain’t a factor. If the “bubble” was such a simple win, why didn’t YOUR team win? If the Lakers are so bad as a franchise why are most the best players ever from here? If Bronny playing for the Lakers is nepotism, you clearly don’t watch ANY sport. 2 of the 3 goat players played for the LAKESHOW…not your team. Some of the GREATEST coaches ever coached the Lakers…. We’re the most watched team… Rep the best city… Like need I add more? And this isn’t an opinion…FACTS.
The fact that he can make a giant comeback from a cardiac arrest and prove to teams your work ethic and to work for his goals is a giant achievement. LeBron is letting Bronny be himself and not be the shadow of his legacy. Yes there will never be haters but he truly is taking full advantage of the opportunities he is given. If he goes to g-league and gets called up after his skills develop like other stars have due to the potential he has confirms his love and passion for the game. He is a smart young guy. Let him be himself
