Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow on The Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1 talking about how they became friends again after Robbie left Take That. For the full video go to bbc.co.uk/radio1
@johnevans200 Half truth. Firstly, it was Gas who denyied & left Rob. Then he regretted but it was too late. You can find it easily in the lyrics. Rob blamed "someone" who didn't ask the truth, changed his dreams & didn't admit the truth (One fine day, You are history, Ghost, These dreams & many others). Gas said sorry for beeing not able to say the truth & to say I love you (Are you ready now, I miss it all, All that I've given away, The Circus & many others). So glad they returned together
Ok. I love Robbie Williams and also Take That. I've always wanted to see if they get back 2gether as a five. Robbie is not fun like he used to be, but he has settled down. I just HOPE nothing goes wrong with the whole TT reunion, I still have faith in Rob. x
@rhymeandreasoning By '95 Rob wanted to leave the band, his unhappiness and drug abuse was growing worse and when they confronted him over it during rehearsals of the '95 tour he walked out. Rob was bitter and lashed out at Gary through the media at every given opportunity. Gary has since said that they didn't take enough care of him and handled it all wrong. Rob wouldn't take Gary's calls and continued to slag him off for the next 10 yrs. You should read their biogs for the full versions.
Why don't you go to the video of the band or singer you like and leave a nice comment, instead of spending your time and writing a comment on something you don't like????????????????????????????????????????
@princesske rob was given a choice - IF you want to leave, do you want to go now, or do you want to try and get yourself together for our large, expensive worldwide tour? (i.e stop the drink and drugs and maybe show up to rehearsals). he CHOSE to leave. admittidly he never got the support he needed, but he never did anything for himself either. simple fact was, he didn't WANT to be in TT anymore at that point. he thought he was better (hence the famous oasis faze)
@MrNodzilla sorry but we are going to have to agree to disagree, because I didnt think Robbie was mumbling at all. He was trying to explain a very sensitive issue about both their pasts, and I think thats very difficult live. He doesnt mumble on the stage (even you know that) and thats whats really important in the end......I know what falling off the wagon means. As I said I work with them! A lot of its down to strength and will power. The physical dependancy gradually disappears over the years
A little bit concerned that you seem to think Gary Barlow devoted his entire career to writing songs about Robbie Williams, who by this point was just as much of a distant Celebrity to him as he was to any of us. Yeah, the odd song here or there... but I hardly think the likes of All That I've Given Away were about Rob.
@EnglishChannel1 well robbie is listed as Englands richest male voice artist so..... i really dont think he joined them for fame or cash as you claim. I would say your claim was just a assumption based on no research. you want to know why he joined them? because they are all friends and in his and garys song lyrics you can see that they discovered that hate is baggage.
@toasties4 - erm are you deaf? Robbie can sing, especially in the 90s and early '00s he was one of the best acts in british music, and still is. He's not perfect, and no one expects him to be, that is why he is loved by many.
I am Canadian..of course familiar with Robbie and Gary , but don't know their backstory that brought them to this point..i assume there was some kind of tension between the two? can anyone fill me in..thank you.. :-)
@princesske i agree with you in he probably wouldnt have got the support that he needed but i disagree that he wouldve wanted it at the time. rob kept everything very close to his chest and hidden, sometimes under the bravado of being funny, but hidden. none of the guys knew there was anything seriously wrong - not even mark! they just thought he was pissing about being lazy, and had no idea what he was taking. rob said he wouldve gone down that path, and had already taken numerous drugs b4 TT.
@pipsicalpopsical in everything they do together Gary is very reserved - so not him. For some reason he does not want to upset Bob? Who knows why. Bob has never worried about upsetting the rest of TT. But anyway they say they want to put it behind them we have to accept it
I Incepted Robbie Williams dream. I played the part of a financial advisor. I recommended him to meet up with Gary and apologise so that he can be in the spotlight with take that once again and make big bucks. Looks like i had some effect on his subconscious.
@yinksta Its Gary (not garry) and Robbie (not Robby). Sorry, you need to be spot on if your going to quote people, and have conviction in what you say!
@comanchio1976,great your still waffling on like a grade A knob end! Much amusement! PLEASE carry on! PLEASE PLEASE! bless you! LOL (yes im laughing out loud, like your 6 yr old neice) bless her too! Awwwwwww
@809Ollie Exactly but I never said I was a hater I just like to read differences of opinion and we should be allowed to express it without people like sassymiss calling us stupid.
@MrNodzilla but you already knew you didnt like these two "before" you watched it right? So why watch it and torment yourself more? Doesnt make sense! I work with people who are alcohol & substance users. Taking pain killers (analgesics) in tablet form often contains paracetamol which you can buy over the counter to relieve localised pain. You really need to do your research before making flippant comments like that. Oh, and he "was" an alcoholic, not now!
@dazmorland That's almost exactly what you said last time cup-cake, never mind at least you're trying! Aw look, you type 'LOL'..my 6 year old niece does that! I'd ask if you're in the same class, but she's in a regular school, I hope the special school attends to all your needs! Oh, dont forget, if they aren't changing your nappy on a regular basis, get a grown up to complain for you!
@happydaiz82 I hear ya and agree! Trouble is, I get drawn into arguments with the likes of a certain repressed homosexual hell-'bent' on defending take that on 'musical' grounds...coz they're still in denial about their own sexuality! They duth pretest too much!
radio one replaces djs because they think they are to old in order to pander to there teenage audiance, getting rid of knowledgable ones like jo willy and very funny and talented ones like mark and lard (legends) and replaces them with people with no soh but tons of enthusiasm ie cotton and verne whatshis name
@MrNodzilla - "Being in a boy band at that age and doing sexualised dance routines for 10 year olds is just distasteful" It would be if that was actually the correct demographic. the average fan is about 27
i have to admit it, but gary does look quite worried about this interview which is a shame because on normal chris moyles interviews he is laughing and messing around with chris and its not here! :( booo!!
@Antelope6 i'm 18 and i positively adore take that as a LOT of young people do. to be frank your perception of what young people listen to is quite laughable and a little bit insulting. n-dubz have the odd good song here and there but i hate them overall - total chavs! tinchy, again here and there. take him or leave him. mainly leave him. don't even start me on flo rida! this "middle aged manband" are classy, lovely, decent, down to earth guys who come out with consistantly cracking tunes. ACE!
@samhain81 Yes they are very! And no they dont hide it well, thats why they write absolute shite on here! LOL Bless them, im sure they are loved by someone, somewere!
@dazmorland and also who said paracetamol is used to cure alcoholics? I said paracetamol can be used as a pain killer, and wouldnt affect a drug user or an alcoholic who was on a script (that means medication for you son) and would be able to use it as prescribed. Your very judgemental of people and it shows here! I hope the rest of the readers feel sorry for your bitterness towards the wealthy and talented. Ah well......
I still wont buy there lame albums..but this was overdue..for the fans...and no chris isnt to old..and they dont choose the music played on the air..and if you think putting 'children' on the air will save the station...go watch cbbc!
