Who would be the American equivalent of Robbie Williams? By that I mean who would be a pop star who is well known in the U.S.. but unknown in the U.K.? I’m not trying to rile up the U. S. fans he has but walk down any city street in the U.S. and say “who is Robbie Williams/name a Robbie Williams song” & you’ll get blank stares or people thinking you meant Robin Williams. What U,S. pop star would get a similarly low recognition rate in the U.K.?
