Indeed We need to see the fall of the dragons first that made Robert rebellion is so successful, no house could challenge the Targaryen if they had their dragons 😬
Oh yeah I'm always talking about walking about with swords on the kings road and getting some tavern wenches. Just an everyday conversation for any modern man
@Callum Walters I walked it just a few days ago. Had to slave a few thieves but we saved a few maidens. Well maidens till they met us. The stories will always be sang of the brave few and those tits!
The sad thing is: the Rebellion was only like 2 years long. Robert spent all his other years whoring and drinking. He didn’t miss out on youth. He missed out on adulthood, being a parent, husband and King.
@@varbergessamo6045 it's not really important. I just thought it was funny that ned remembered the name of a girl that Robert hooked up with from years ago and all Robert had to do was mention that she had really big boobs. He was just like "ah say no more, I remember her well" Was just a funny little interaction that made me giggle
Sure, it was all cool after killing the mad king but was it really though. He was a skilled soldier and militant but he became a fat, self indulgent king. Realm was in debt basically to the lannisters and he treated Cersei like shit. He had good qualities but he’s kind of a shit head
@@FedeZande08 he drove the realm into debt and cersei was optimistic about their relationship at first being depressed does not excuse adultery, treason, and willful ignorance to ruling of a kingdom he did nothing he just got lucky there were no wars or famines when he riled
Also, Ned only had 1 moment of “loosened behavior”. That was the tournament at Harrenhal when he saw Ashara Dayne. He was too shy to talk to her so his Brother Brandon went and introduced him to her. Now EVERYONE wanted Ashara Dayne. She was the most beautiful woman in Westeros at the time. Even Barristan Selmy was jocking her. The Dayne Family says that they fell in love that day. After he lost her during the war Ned Stark went back to being quiet and cold. In Catelyn’s words when he took her “maidenhood” it felt more of duty than passion. And it makes sense since Ned didn’t want her. He had to marry her or Robert would’ve died at the battle of the bells. And it’s not like Catelyn wasn’t disappointed in Ned as well. Brandon was more handsome, about 6’5 or 6’6 and obviously wild as a wolf. Wolf blood usually gives one of two traits. Wild like lyanna and Brandon or Cold like Ned Stark, Cregan Stark and Lord Alaric Stark. Lol Alaric stark was so cold and stern then Jaehaerys wouldn’t even consider him as Hand of the King because he’d be too much for the lord of Westeros to handle
@erosion271 Not really. I mean, yes, ultimately, but more so for Ned. Cus Cate was easy enough to switch sides if you were. She latched on to him real quickly. She was more like Sansa in that regard.
I would like to see a series of Robert and Ned on horseback going around Westeros in a buddy comedy set in the GoT universe. Tell me you wouldn't watch it.
I can already picture the opening episode with Jon Arryn going around his castle looking for them while Ned and Robert is riding away from the Eyrie looking for adventure!
I demand the alt universe story where Robert decides to support the Summer Island king exiled to his court and ends up screwing the entire archipelago and returning with a fleet of Robert's Extra Children
I love these scenes it really illustrates how equal they really are outside of kings landing away from the politics. But it also contrast why Robert was a bad manager of the realm
Ned always knew what Robert was, but he just learned to laugh with Robert instead of convincing him to change cause lets be real Baratheons are extremely stubborn
If they hadn't both been raised together by Jon Arryn I wonder if they even would've been friends due to how different they are. An absolute introvert and absolute extrovert
I wish they would have been around longer they were good characters. The thoughts to live like the young again and talk like mad men. Who never lived Life but fought great wars.
As much as the castings for this show were pretty great.. I didn't like how they made they made Robert Baratheon and even Renly and Stannis much smaller than they were in the books. They made the mountain seem 8 feet tall. Robert was supposed to tower over Ned Stark though..
I do think this is when Ned truly started to regret pushing Lyanna to marry Robert. Seeing what robert had turned into and knowing just how miserable Lyanna would have been
Question, if I could figure out a way to petition for an HBO show based on "Robert's Rebellion" and the surrounding years, would y'all sign and/or fund it?
god. almighty I would support and use my real name if I had too.... senior lady of color here.... I like these guys ....Nedds smile is so warm... beautiful bond these two
So jarring to see this video after watching one where folks are trying to figure out what to do about the White Walkers, and these two have been moldering in their graves for years, and there hasn’t been a scene shot w/sunlight in almost that long.
im right here hoping and praying for the rumors about GOT making the show sequence during Robert rebellion is true ! 85% me wanted Robert rebellions rather than Aegon Conquering westeros 🐉🔥
