It's especially strange because the German uniforms are pretty good. Maybe they blew the entire budget on those and then had to go Goodwill for Anderson's costume.
Game complete song, after a bit of listening and searching around (Thanks to google's music recognition. Since I am not German). It seems to be a song called Seelensplitter by Advocatus Diaboli from their album called Sternenmarsch. A quick google search shows some weird things timeline wise since it seems to pull all of the info from Spotify. Which says the the album came out in 2011. Obviously weird, so I looked even more into it. I found a listing for the album on ebay. A photo of the back of the CD case shows a release and copyright year of 2006. So it seems to check out. 👍
I did some (admittedly not great) texture work for this game while still in school. It was one of the first design jobs I got paid actual money for, pretty cool deal at the time. As far as I can tell, this game is very much the creation of a single person (the guy who plays Robert D. Anderson in the life action scenes). He paid some people for illustrations, music and assets but did the rest himself in his spare time. He also worked for JoWood as their community manager, which explains why this indie game got a decent publishing deal.
Hey man thanks for commenting, after thinking about if for a while I kinda realized this was most likely the vision of one person. That fact is pretty obfuscated though, I don't know if that was by design or not. I might of gone a little hard on this project, some was for the sake of comedy. However, the fact that he got published by such a big company, and the fact that he never really improved his craft over the years, made me a lot less sympathetic to the short comings of this game. I'm glad to hear auxiliary people involved got compensated though, he honestly seems like a good guy, and I wish him the best.
I looked them up but it sounds like there music is pretty traditional stuff mixed with heavy metal, so I don't think it's them. Thanks for the suggestion though, in all honesty it's probably an original song.
Pretty sure the voice actor for this game was the same voice actor for max payne, if i remember correctly, which is pretty neat. sadly tho, this is a not so great example of fps creator's capabilities, in my opinion. :( i think fpsc is great once you learn it's scripting language, capabilities, limits etc. it's definitely got some jank that you've gotta work with, but overall, i think it's great for making boomer shooters :) anyway sorry to ramble, great video! subbed ♥
Almost half way through the video and there is 0 signs of cthulu in this game Edit: so the only references to Cthulu where some art shittly plastered on the wall and some mentions of them late game.... I see
You didn't mention it but the game has a multiplayer mode. Imagine getting real human beings to play it with. Also, the music loop that plays in the menu of that mode is god awful.
