PC gaming is hilarious because people will make a 31 minute video about how a 23 year old game is barely functional and crashes all the time and then end it with a glowing recommendation lmao
It's funny: I was looking for reviews or something of this game only a few weeks ago, and here is one now. It was an oddity I barely remember seeing as a kid, but never getting enough interest to try and play through it now, so it's interesting to see now how the whole thing plays out.
I remember playing through the game without any hiccups like you encountered a long time ago. Such a cool game, I hope it is brought back bug free. I still to this day love its atmosphere and the little hidden stuff in it, but I also remember all my frustration at finding the items needed to progress. Btw, after finishing the game you can also play through it in first person as an extra camera mode.

Fantastic game, got to the same conclusion as well. Despite all (especially getting instakilled at the last fight) I couldn't bring myself to not like it.
14:36 I think what actually breaks certain events in this game is that this game has issues with modern CPUs, probably because of multi threading, some specific events seem to fire in wrong order or not at all.
