8:28 Actually JFK knew Ted Sorensen VERY well. He was with JFK for 11 years in total, and helped him become President. He referred to Sorensen as his "intellectual blood bank" Great video by the way. : )

There's always that "what if" about JFK and "what could have been. Honestly, I can see how any historian could rank him over Reagan or Obama. He simply was President long enough and/or didn't have the achievements. A tragedy he was killed before he could achieve more.

The more problematic issue is the fact that the bullets were overlapping (according to many witnesses immediately following the incident) in a manner that is impossible from a bolt action rifle. bang-- bang-bang.

@@432b86ed I think it’s safe to say eye witnesses are wrong a lot of the time. Could the sound haven ricocheted off of the over pass? Maybe. Could they have heard the crack of the round passing near them after it was fired? Also more than possible.

D Storm You’re right. They think everybody loves the democrats. The democrats betrayed the forgotten Americans. That’s why we stopped voting for them bums. I stopped supporting the democrats when I grew up and started to question their policies. I call it my age of reason. I haven’t voted for a Democratic in over 20 years and have no plans to ever vote democratic ever again.

Tuber...You nailed it! If he gave any hard truth as Mark Lane or Jim Marrs, (& maybe this Daniel Sheehan I just came across, who sounds awful good) the big NBC, ABC, CBS, etc, will not have Mr Sheehan on...look him up. I was amazed at what he lays out with the facts/& support.) BUT...I read Dallek's stuff, then saw him everywhere to sell his books and he reminds me of many who just have others collect some stuff they can piece into a book and never, ever give us a damn thing...he is a waste of time. This Daniel Sheehan said in video on RU-vid that Gerald Posner and this Bugliosi are full of it, they always support the Warren Commision...they are CIA stooges as most media is. Just think of all the damn fools who get filthy rich and never cared about the brilliance of JFK and make money off his name. Bastards.

EXACTLY!! Goodness gracious, it WAS a conspiracy. LIFE magazine was set to run the expose on LBJ on the 24th, with material given to them by RFK. They WERE going to drop LBJ from the ticket for Terry Sanford of North Carolina, right? They would HAVE to have dropped him from the ticket, because he would've been mired in scandal. This segment here is a damn FAIRY TALE.

This interview focused too much on JFK personal life and his medical problems. Tell me, were those problems affected JFK's Presidency? As a writer or historian, Mr. Dallek imprudently offer his opinion on hypothetical questions such as JFK's second term performance....... He also got it wrong on the assignation bullets. I do not believe he practices sound journalism..... get the fact, doing your research....

5 words, Back and to the left. Kennedy's brains end up on the truck. Watch the Zapruder film. It's Irrefutable. The death shot came from the grassy knoll. The Warren report (or should I say the Dulles Report) is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated. Why do some historians not get it?

Vern Pascal 3 shots. The first shot missed. The second shot shot hit Kennedy in the back of the neck, pierced his throat, and then pierced Connaly’s torso, hit his arm and Ricocheted into his thigh. The bullet was recovered on hospital stretcher. It showed some deformation, but since it was a full jacketed bullet, a whole range of deformation or lack thereof, is possible. The third and fatal shot hit Kennedy in the back of his head, it pierced his skull and exited the front of the head. That’s it, that’s how it happened. X-ray and autopsy photos have proven entry wounds from behind the victims and exit wounds in the front. Ballistic tests prove that the bullets came from Oswald’s rifle to the exclusion of all other weapons. No other bullets, bullet fragments or traces of impact by bullets were discovered at the scene. This has been reported by the Warren commission, substantiated by the house select committee on assassinations, by the Clark panel, and by the Rockefeller commission. CBS News (twice), ABC News, NBC news, and PBS (twice) have all produced studies and documentaries, over four decades, concurring with this conclusion. The case has been solved. If you draw a different conclusion, by definition you must believe that all of these investigations have been willfully fraudulent and that all engaged in a giant conspiracy to deceive the American public. That is absurd position. Oswald acted alone. Dallek Is a logical and intelligent historian. If he suspected fraud or incompetence in all of the investigations of the assassination, why wouldn’t he blow the whistle? Who is he protecting?
