I remember him Edwin Valero very well when he was first starting off with Joe chavez and Rudy Hernandez back in LA boxing and we would go spar and and a few times we spared with Edwin Valero and he was a very strong puncher once he spared with urbano antillon and I recall Edwin Valero hit him pretty good to where it sat him down... alot of fighters didn't like him and some champions that I can't say any names.. they would talk bad about him but couldn't do anything to him in the ring... Edwin and ponce de Leon realy liked each other ;) not!!!! and also the Santa Cruz brothers knew him pretty well....
