Ante UP thanks but it will never happen. The most possible way to enjoy the norschleife is buying a good driving simulator steering wheels seats shifter and stuff and driving it looking at a monitor for me. When I retire I guess

Don’t do it 😂 I snapped the cambelt on my stage 1 golf tdi first day on the road. My own fault making a bad buy and not changing belt.. but still I think diesels put a lot more stain on the engine than a petrol at higher rpm Hense bye bye belt

A very very nice lap. Though I think Misha had his fingers crossed that the engine doesn’t blow!! Robert on the other hand must definitely have been thinking if he does blow the engine which replacement car will he have to give Misha!

Glad I am not the only one that notices in the car films they are flat out but still change down to over take and have 14 speed gearboxes... plus they love changing engine noises especially on bikes, 4 cylinders on twins, two strokes on four etc plus they always wet the roads on night scenes

When ya do the suspension on the Golf, will ya make a video on it? I'm kinda curious of how to set up a suspension in general, like... people seem to want the stiffest one possible, but that's not great either, a bump and you lose traction... so maybe a brief breakdown on what is good for more uneven roads like the ring?

@@mgcharoudin TYVM for this video. It's a great way to start my Saturday. So excellent to see professional high speed drivers giggling so much in a "shitbox". Makes me miss my Golf Gti even more. Robert said he was looking for the "plow handle" so I guess that means he didn't spend much, if anytime in farm country when he lived in California & Indiana. Hehehe So does that mean a PTO hitch is the ultmate performance mod for the Tracktor??? :-) MUCH LOVE FROM OHIO !!!!!!

what do you mean with not bothering about heel n toe? had the 101hp 1.9 myself as first car ( miss it so much) and never had any problem with heel n toe.

The standard ECU settings in that car does not allow you to press the brake and apply acceleration at the same time. If you brake, it will electronically disengage the throttle if you press on the gas pedal. Therfore, no heel and toe unless you have it altered. You can still go through the motions of H&T, but it will have no effect.

In a cloudy lighting like around 7:30 the video feed pretty much looks identical to modern simulators! Especially with a bit lower video quality like 720p.

So how much HP this car has in the end? I love cars around 200bhp like my Audi. Not too weak but plenty strong aswell + cheap to drive.

Having 200hp in a car isn't a measure of performance, nor economy. Using HP as a measure is like trying to say the bigger a meal, the better it tastes! So, your 200hp. Petrol? Diesel? Turbo or NA? Weight of the car? Gear and final drive ratios? How much torque? Not to mention the effects of aerodynamics. 200hp in a 500kg Caterham is very good, but 200hp in a 2 ton pickup truck with a traditional automatic transmission? Not so good.

My seats make squeaky sounds because of the handle to move teh seat back and forward. Its horrible, I took out the bracket and squeak gone. People just cant move the seat back and forward anymore. :P

Can you talk about why you're riding passenger seat in all your recent videos since you moved? (I know this one is so Robert can drive, but the previous ones is what I'm referencing.) Are you not allowed to drive the taxis now that you're not working at Apex? (Or are you still working for apex part time?)

..well.. the more you let Robert drive, the sooner you will have new tires.. .you should do those first, before suspension, get a few laps that way, then add it.. :D ... slow cars fast is a fun thing... once had a 9000 Aero on Putnam Park in US... 4 wheel slides in corners with moderated throttle... wheeeeee!

Wery nice video! Modern 2.0 TDi (2012-2016) does like 200hp on Stage 2. Mb just put a bit fresher engine in? It will 100% be much more rapid. And may be cheaper than rebuilding this one
