For F’s sake, the bloke is 74 years old now and it’s 60 years since since he first sang these. We’re lucky he’s still performing anything. Rock on Robert. ✌️
74 not old when you get there. Yeah, we might be a little slower and tired at times but we grew in the best of times where there was hardly no crime to speak of and had the greatest musicians of all time! Rock on Plant! My 49 yo son and wife was asked by Plant to be backstage earlier this month. He is a great friend of the family. Very cool crazy lovable guy. ❤❤❤ ❤
Robert doesnt have to answer to anyone. Lets just enjoy the old memories, and be thankful for the new memories he has graciously given us. Thank you Robert! ♥️♥️♥️
It's fantastic how Robert just keeps moving along and never gets boring. This is great stuff. For those who want to hear Led Zep redux, there are about a billion recordings and videos out there. Robert is 75 soon, and he still keeps it fresh. A fabulous talent.
Huuuuuge lifelong Robert Plant fan, and HES STILL GOT IT ALL! 😍😍😍 But haters gonna hate, right? Hell I’ll guarantee ya that none of these haters are fit to shine this legends shoes and there is no way they can perform as well as Mr. Plant on his worst day!
Robert was never afraid to reinvent himself and follow other musical ways, he still brings a fresh presentation with a modern sound of very good taste, without let the old references of the past
Everyone needs to chill. It sounds fine. It’s his song, and can do anything he wants with it. Trivia for the haters: there’s more than one genre of music. Crawl out of your cave, and you might just find that out.
Fabulous.....as a gal that saw Led Zeppelin, Page and Plant and then Robert with all his other bands -this was so fun.......he is having a great time exploring new and old things.....rock on Robert..however the hell you want to you have earned it. I have been Alison and Robert twice and there were folks from 12 to 85 rocking and digging the music.....I will admit here Alison seems super worn down. They have been touring for over a year...USA, Europe, back to USA.....we saw them at the start of the tour...the energy was higher.
Alison Krauss is not known for her highly spirited performances. Here playing is amazing but she doesn't really move. I've seen her a few times live and I would actually say she has a bit of stage fright. She never interacts with the audience. I will agree though she was even less active here but she's constantly cold and almost always heavily covered up.
re: low energy. It was 38F in the amphitheater at the start of this concert. Lot of energy burned just staying warm. Musicians had some issues tuning their stringed instruments.
Just had the privilege of seeing them Monday night in Flagstaff, and it was a gorgeous night. Amazing music, and the stars seemed close enough to touch.
It is just different when everyone sings it as a cover for LZ, and a totally different thing when you see that man, who no one knew what was in his mind and come up with such songs to express even at 74-75
Robert Plant had a sad moment at the end of the song, when he turned around and saw that John Bonham was no longer there.lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time
Robert Plant is not on tour just singing old favorites to make a buck. He has continued to record new music. If you don't like his folk rock then perhaps you should listen to his more recent solo music. Zeppelin was the best but they broke up in 1980!
I saw him more times than I should have ...1970 thru 2015. The level of pure excitement is what is missing at this point. Age is an sob. But to be fair, I do think that Plant is still capable of pushing the vocals into a partial frenzy-level like he did in 2015. He is really pampering his voice staying in the single range as he is now. Sure, if it was a free show down by the seaside , just chilling and for kicks and giggles.... then I get it. But paying for what is sold as a full on concert ? Hmmmmm...
Just to tell all people who thinks he do this for the money..you soooooooo wrong...Robert is a billioner ..and turn down a reunion ture with Led Zeppelin , that was a billion contract...sooooo don't talk about money ..he love to sing..and listening to voice..he still have it all..God bless him..❤
The one thing that makes me real sad over the years is Robert's desire to never visit his old songs or if he does strip them down to new versions. He created beautiful works of art over his career, he should be thrilled to share them from time to time in their original sound. I get his views but there is nothing wrong about it, does not stop the creative process its giving fans a little glimpse into the past during a show, wish he would re-consider from time to time. Cheers
Plant knows there are hard-core Zep fans in the audience. I saw him in 2019 with the Space Shapers. THAT was a hard-core Zep concert. This isn't. I'll take what I can get because it's still Plant. The greatest front man of all time.
Nah, how boring would repeatedly, repeating the same ole shit? Plant’s not out there with Page, not 2 mention he did all that for us on the Page & Plant tour years ago. These guys like Plant aren’t jukeboxes.
It’s a reinterpretation of a great song. Give a fucking rest people. So what if it’s a blue grass/country version. Btw, what do you expect? A bare chested Robert Plant from 1973?
Cos Zeppelin really did end a long time ago and it's been a long time since then (see what I did there?). Jimmy fell into a trough after Zep and kind of stayed there, in the words of Keith Richards, but Robert hasn't stopped moving.
Robert refused to play with Jimmy, even threw away a billion dollar tour over it. Pretty sure now Jimmy is permanently retired. Sad, I would rather see Jimmy and John Paul out on tour with Jason, then have Robert out complaining constantly about not wanting to be a "jukebox", as he plays the old songs. The others in concert without a singer would be Rock nirvana
Not anyone his age can hit the high notes it's not Zeppelin but it's fun saw Englebert Humperdinck last year he's 87 wasn't Englebert from 1967 77 87 97 2007 but he was fantastic no regrets he could still stay keep a tune was fun !
I’ve been a zep and plant fan for 50 years and I think I have to draw the line at this , he has always said he didn’t want to tour after the 02 show because he didn’t want to be a jukebox but then he is happy to do versions like this , his solo stuff is great , and he has 40 years of that to pick from , maybe time to leave the zep stuff behind unless it’s done right
If this is the best Plant can do now we understand why he won't get back with the surviving members of his old band and why Jimmy's stopped asking him.
The song is called Rock and Roll not Country and Roll!! Robert still has that great voice and range, but this is a very lame version of this great tune!!
Mr. Plant started loosing his voice in 1971 had a vocal chord operation by 74 and hasn't been the same since. ,,, so no ... got a great voice ... not great range.
