In addition to my being in awe of Robert (as well as all the supremely talented members of the mighty Zep), he seems to be so genuine, honest and just a very nice fellow. . .how cool can he be!? Thank you for the great memories Robert.
Robert Plant, what can one say, always a pleasure to hear his thoughts. What I really want to say though is "Well done George!", it was really good to see your approach in interviewing this lengendary music figure by not asking the same old tired questions.
I love George's interviews. I just wish this one went on longer. I know that there are more questions that he wanted answers to. Robert Plant is one of the greatest voices is music history and Zeppelin is arguably the greatest band in history. I loved it.
i almost walked into Robert at the airport in vancouver in summer '69. i was 13,he was 19. i just abt bumped( he was no more than 2ft from me&i,him) into the guy,i swear it but at last second,i managed to compose myself, looked right into his eye's. i nodded to him and he did same to me. it was as thought he respected me as someone closer to where rocknroll came from (north america). i hope one day i'll remind him that he wasn't afraid of me. and by the way,i love you Robert
It is called being Normal... More people need to shut off the Inner Dialogue, and just be natural. I suppose it makes it easier when One is as Moneyed as Robert P must be. Good On 'im, Classy Interview and Interviewer...
Robert said,. "Me and Bonzo were in The YARDBIRDS and all of that stuff" and he was saying that to piss of somebody even tho they are friends...Robert is hilarious. Jimmy is hysterical to. They seem to have the British obsession with who accomplished the greater accomplishments in life....which is real cool.
Nice, thanks for the upload. I live about forty minutes from the Canadian border in upstate NY and Strombo's website on the CBC wont let me see this interview bc I don't live IN Canada. Those crafty Canadians...foiled them again...with a big assist on your part. BTW is your name a Band of Brothers' reference?
Such a compelling person. Talks in riddles and elusive phrases. He's always dancing around the topic of that monster in the room (you know what I'm talking about), pilfering on the edge, and only talking about it when it suits him. See latest MOJO issue - the Led Zep interview - Plant comes across as the member who seems to have the least smoothest relationship with Led Zep's their legacy, the decade in general. Karac? Bonzo? The cliches? A fire within to keep moving? I guess I understand
