Thank You for speaking up. I admire your boldness. In my personal opinion Denzel goes way to far with the witiness, sarcasm, and street thuggery for a Village that is still living in the 1960's. Way over dramatized and very cringe at times. Seen this in the theater when it first came out and half the people were laughing and I heard one guy say He looks like He has Downs when He stares down his dying prey. Not a complete disappointment but none the less a disappointment.

Also, Vincent cuts hands off people who call him names. And actually, Camorra is part of the Italian society in Naples and Campania. Shadow part, to be sure, but having lots of ties to business, politics, and other spheres.

That's basically what McCall does, he killed more people in the movie than Vincent and his mafia combined. There were a lot of people in Vincent's home at Marco's funeral... I'm sure they'd call Vincent and Marco good, and the American the monster. Then, Vincent only threatened to destroy Altomonte because his brother was killed there and they were harboring the murderer. To him, they did bad. Also, his initial plan of developing Altomonte into a tourist area with resorts, hotels and casinos would actually do the town more good economically in the long run than their celebrating a local football team's victory with their pet vigilante killer. Oh, and the Camorra have vendettas - killing a mafia boss and his brother would draw ruthless vengeance on anyone close to the killer. Vincent is head of five Camorra families - five clans unleashing a bloody vendetta on Altomonte would be so not good.

Agree, it was definitely off from the usual vibe. But its ok to stave off from the usual formula sometimes. John wick 3 tried to be the same thing as the first 2 and did not end well anyways.
