Truly truly a HERO, your DAD had a purpose, A TRUE WOLF PACK , a superb leader a superb pilot , I never get tired of your DAD's video's, a trade mark moustache that hollywod cannot duplicate, may good LORD bless his soul
I love the book "Fighter Pilot". Got it on audio and I love the presence you feel. Word of caution. He was an outspoken man with a fighters foul mouth and I love every f***ing word of it. Great job Christina. You did your old man proud.
A tear forms in the corner of my eye every time I watch a video of Gen Olds. He retired form the USAF one year before I joined. In my twenty years of service I can't think of one year, let alone several times in one year, that this man wasn't celebrated. A true American legend.
I worked as an air traffic controller in the RAPCON at Ubon, Thailand in 67, the time Col. Olds was wing commander. He was a no bullshit commander. When he was on the other end of the radio there was no doubt it was him.
The Vintage Aircraft EAA chapter in Tulsa, Ok. used to promote a "Biplane Expo" for several years. General Olds was our guest at this event: June 1-3, 2006. He was very personable and had a big smile on his face as he visited with several attendees. I was able to take a few photos to verify his open, visiting manner. He gave a talk at our dinner and it was very entertaining. I was quite impressed with the General and I enjoyed his visit to our event very much !
Christina Olds is a frequent visitor at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa ID, and she is an amazing lady to talk with. I could listen to her stories about her father for hours. I felt honored to be able to show her some information about Robin Olds in our museum that she had not seen before so she could further add to his legacy. What an awesome man he was! A true hero!
Thank you thank you thank you thank you I can never get enough of your dad and interviews in hearing about his life story enact the historic aspect of the family's name in aviation. God bless you for your passion and caring the story on
What a wonderful tribute to your father. Coming from Ireland I really have enjoyed watching all the footage on RU-vid of your father. A true leader of men
"Some people are born great, some people achieve greatness" and some people grab greatness and say "is that all you got?" A most impressive leader and person 🇺🇲. 👍from 🇬🇧
I Was in the Hospital When I Read a Book About Your Dad and Operation: BOLO and the Wolf Pack Shooting Down 7 MIGS in Their F-4C Phantom II Jetfighters and BOB HOPE Talking About it at a CHRISTMAS SHOW in 1967 🛩🛩👌
Christina is the best person to discuss her father, who was also my friend. His interview in my book Above the Reich compliments Christina's book Fighter Pilot. Robin was a larger than life man, and a great guy in general. We have plans to write a pilot episode for a limited TV series, and possibly a feature film option. Once we clear the decks on The Star of Africa and Hammer of God, as well as a couple of others, we hope to have the production interest and bring Christina on board to take over. It is only right that she be in the driver's seat on any film or series about her father.
Read her book "Fighter Pilot." Excellent. I took a shot in the dark and reached out to her via e-mail. Got a response. I'd love to meet her. Her Dad was incredible.
This lady is so fortune to have a famous father who she had a loving and positive relationship with. He is a larger than life figure whose impact on our military is still felt today in a most profound way. How many leaders are life that. Too many military leaders today are all about promotions and advancing their careers. This is a man I wish I had been given the opportunity to meet.
The video was great and inspiring. I’m interested in knowing more about General Olds. He was a great man. Could you please provide me the title of the book you mentioned in the video. Thank you.
