Patrick Jane just feels real. Whenever I see Simon smile, I see Patrick smile. There are several actors that are the embodiment of their role for example Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow but, for me at least, there is no one that created a character so believable like Simon Baker in Patrick Jane. Patrick truly is the realest TV character in my opinion, nothing about him feels unreal or fake.
Now I understand why the airplane scene felt so real. He really does love her, in a way. Knowing they have such a close friendship makes the show's story line even more realistic and interesting.

It’s not probably IT IS the best TV show ever made !! It got everything, wonderful characters, great storylines and development and the best ending we could have wish for
If you're looking for another show to watch, Psych is on Amazon Prime too. It's very similar, but more comedic and the only people that know the main character's not psychic are his best friend and dad(and his mom but she isn't on the show often)
It just feels terribly empty after finishing the last episode of the 7th season. It just felt like a part of my life, like I was sharing some time of my everyday life with Patrick Jane, with them all. I am terribly missing the series. On my first rewatch after completion. But, one thing I can surely say that The Mentalist is gonna be my all-time favourite show I guess forever. I just feel I don't want to miss out on his smile for even one day for the rest of my life. I smiled throughout the whole video with tears in my eyes.
I'm seriously about to cry watching this. They filmed the very last episode of The Mentalist last week. Robin and Simon are officially done being "work husband" and "work wife" to each other. Their relationship is part of the reason this show has been so enjoyable to watch. Knowing that the two leads actually adore each other in real life makes you feel like, as a fandom, we belong to something that makes everybody happy in the end. Maybe have Grace and Rigsby killed or something like that, and have the investigation, and the high stakes pursuit of the serial killer that did it. As they said throughout RJ attracted disciples, stands to reason there would be a copy cat who wanted to continue in his name. Maybe someone in law enforcement who was being groomed. Would be amazing 👍
Simon Baker has the sweetest smile on earth. You just become happy the instant he smiles. He must be one of the sweetest men on earth. I just envy his wife to be with such a sweet sunshine of a man.
Both are beautiful. Inside and outside. Their close relation makes this show unique. Its lovely when two stars loved each other so much..and I simply fell in love with them each time I saw The Mentalist again.

I think it's only because he was married by the time they met. And almost right away Robin hooked up with a guy other people have pointed out look very much like Simon. And they never married. It's a shame.
There are shows you watch and you enjoy and your laugh at and you forget about them and then there are shows that just really stay with you. I think I'll always remember Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon. This was truly a great show. I'm glad the story ended how it did. I love it.

I loved them before The Mentalist. Her for her role in The Craft and him for his role in Something New. They are so adorable together. I love it when his Aussie accent comes through on the show.

I bought the entire DVD collection,to watch again,in a few years......!!!!!.....One of the best show ever,and Simon,losing his tough Aussie accent,must have been,so difficult, for 7 seasons straight,What a performance..........
