Asking Robin Williams to improv stand-up is like putting a fish in water and asking it to swim.

The first time he timidly raises his hand after he reads "Introvert dictator" killed me. Holy fuck was he funny

This scenario is perfect for him. He has one of the fastest comedic brains ever and so doing something like this is just natural for him. He barely needs any thinking time at all. He's always been impressive like that imo. "So, he's gone right?" Brilliant :)

His passing is the first celebrity death I've actually cried over and mourned. He was a 1 in 8 billion human and I wish his family peace in the months and years to come.

I was just watching this 2 days before he passed. I was even thinking how lucky we are to have a legend like this still here with us today. things can change so fast. rest in peace Robin Williams, you will always be loved and adored by so many people.

We don't know why Robin decided to end his life. He was in the early stages of Parkinson's, he was bipolar, and would go into deep depression, he was alcoholic, had a coke problem when he drank, he had to fight to be sober, he had an addictive personality. The only thing most of us will ever know is how that guy made us feel, even though we did not get all his jokes, he made us feel like he was our crazy uncle that we loved, and whenever he took the stage he lit the room up like a thousand suns.

My FAVORITE actors of All time...his talent still is unimaginable. If I saw anything featuring Mr. Williams I KNEW it WAS going to be good, and never had I found this false. From his stand up, comedic movies, and even his serious movies, I have yet to find any actor who pulled me into the performance as he did. While watching "World's greatest Dad" I was taken off by the seriousness of it as I expected another comedy...but was NOT disappointed in anyway by the performance once I watched it...it actually blew me away! Mr. Williams will forever amaze me and remains my MOST favorite actor. I love comedy, but even his serious films I could NOT pull myself away from his acting....his range is AMAZING! One Hour Photo I knew wasn't going to be comedy but even it I found his acting incredible! How I wish he could have gotten better help...our world has lost such a great man who seemed to love to entertain. Even dealing with chronic major depression myself, still I cannot imagine what he must have been going through. What a great man with incredible strength of character, I wish I could have given him a huge hug and tons of admiration for his work and perseverance. I can barely do my mundane job while feeling immense depression but this wondrous man MADE US ALL LAUGH while that was going on. The psychology field is a major joke when it comes to treating this condition, myself and my parents could testify in court to this fact....I can't express the sorry I feel knowing someone COULD have helped him...but those people are so few and far between I'm not surprised it was so hard to get him this help. There has not been a single work of his that I did not GREATLY enjoy, and even his more serious roles, while unusual for me since I first only saw his ingenious, random, yet focused comedy, I found amazed me about his spectrum of talents I never knew the man had. May death bring you the peace you could not find in life, Mr. Williams...whatever it may be, I hope you have found great peace. You ARE greatly missed by those who never met you...I can only imagine those who did know you. I don't know what words from a stranger could uplift, just know, no one sees him as anything but a GREAT, hardworking man who lost a battle to illness, like cancer...he was no coward, he was strong, but even the strongest can be beaten down by illness, and that is was depression is, an illness, NOT a weakness of character...it IS a disease. I will forever view his death as I do those who have fought long battles with cancer and lost, these are THE STRONGEST people I have ever been blessed to know of. We, I, still love Mr. Williams and deeply feel for his family. I will watch all of his works/performances again and again, interviews and all, because his acting/performance/wit IS that great, the greatest I have yet to experience. Love and miss you, sir!

Perhaps without the drugs, he would have a normal functioning brain and not damage that caused Parkinsons and increased his manic-drespression--that was probably the reason for his incredible public energy....Jesus Christ has done much for many without the money, but down and out drugs and been delivered from the addition --- that's the miracle I have witnessed---someone who has it all, been around the world, been with everyone and seen it all---what is left? Do you love life---not are you happy--or whatever the dry out clinics tell the patients--replace addiction with the happiness of sobriety---or do you love life? I am not judging suicide, I have known 4 and definitely they were excellent people---(little boys in catholic school should have a derringer belt buckle---a priest stopper--Robin Williams in this set)

I'm so sad by this news. RW has been with me my entire life. He was amazing and sooooo talented. The world is at such a loss. My prayers go out to his family and all the world as we mourn him. I hurt inside for how he suffered to take his own life that was so beautiful. If only he could of helped it and faught his suffering.

You know that moment just after your dad's friend stepped out on the porch and said it was time for your friend to go? How you just hated that SOB for taking your friend and you were not done playing and the fort wasn't totally built? Yeah, Robin, you had a girl's name and I still pick on you for it even now...its just, my fort isn't finished and you were the best friend I never really knew. I fucking hate my dad's friend...I hate our playtime is over...I hate you got off the ride before it came to a complete stop...I miss you, even if you always wanted the biggest green crayon, I would have let you have them all if you woulda stayed a bit longer. Living ill prepares us for death. Robin made life more fun, more liveable. It makes his loss so very much more hard to take. Fuck my dad's friend... ...my fort isn't done, and I can't find the funny in it anymore. (Trips and falls on a red clown nose) Fuck you, my captain!

Was I the only one who got a bit teary eyed watching this, Robin, you where and still are, one of my most favorite comedians and actors, your brand of comedy and dedication to the field of acting, was very moving, may you rest in piece.

Thank you Robin for literally helping me get through high school. You taught me to keep on laughing, keep on smiling despite the adversary of growing up. You taught me to keep a sense of humour about life. Your passing is such a great lose to all of us.

Robin was very stylish during his final years. I was never a huge fan of his stand up but his energy was contagious. An extremely layered, gifted actor. RIP.

0:40 is an insanely well crafted joke, and that is not hyperbole. Not sure if this joke has been appreciated yet, I haven't scrolled down far enough, but I'm assuming it has. A deft satire of "modern day" cynicism. Perhaps there was some forethought put into it, given the location of the venue, etc. but still...such a good joke, to me.
